She amended the policy saying you had to give 24 hours advance notice (understandably) & a month or so after the policy was changed I had a family emergency & couldn't make it. My daughter had a big seizure & we had to go to the hospital. I texted her as soon as I knew. Mind you, I hadn't had an issue since she updated her policy. The next week I tried to reschedule & it said I had to reach out, so I did. We talked on the phone & she mentioned the times I had to reschedule the times before she made changes to her cancellation policy. I countered with once she changed it there hasn't been a problem until I had an emergency. She proceeded to tell me I need to have child care lined up, moms deserve their time too, her mom had a special needs dependent, I could t use my daughter as an excuse.. just so far out of line. She said I could only come in if someone else cancelled last minute & I could fill in their spot. It isn't possible with 4 kids, I can't drop what I'm doing to go to someone's cancelled appointment.. I wish. The whole convo was wild & out there. I gave a two star instead of one because she is a good at massages.. it actually took me a few months to even speak on this, I was really just trying to reflect before I left a poor review.. Since I can't directly reply, I'll have to update to say you did in fact say something about my children as an excuse & I never did a same morning cancellation, it's not even possible to do on the app. The one time I had no choice I had to call/text you to cancel. I got to the front of her door and knocked (since she seemed snappy already on the phone, I didn't wanna just walk in). I knocked, she said she didn't hear the knock, and I believe her. I waited outside bc I heard some noises so I figured she was setting things up since she probably just got there. I waited outside for another 5-10min and she saw me outside and opened the door. The first thing she said was "yknow you can just walk in, you don't have to wait outside." Again with an attitude. I was baffled lol, I wanted to relax and this is the greeting I get? When I was just trying to be considerate? Bc again, I work in this business as well. I tried to be understanding, but that is not how I would treat my potential clients or even just normal person that you first meet. Again I apologized to her that I have missed a session before, bc I know that is also frustrating but WOW how she snapped was really not nice. I did pretend to start recording on my phone, and as soon as she saw that, her tone changed and started to apologize to me and told me I won't be charged for this session. I walked out of my car very upset, but I wanted to make sure I do my part of making sure she was paid for my previous no show. So I went back in and asked her to make sure she was paid for that time. She said okay, she had to call around to make sure of that and she didn't even greet me out or anything. I normally don't write reviews, especially this long and detailed. But I was so frustrated and angry, that's how I walked out of the business.

I've never had an appointment canceled or had difficulty booking an appointment. I originally bought a set of 3 massages from Groupon and had such a good experience that I purchased another set on her website. She listens to what is hurting you and finds a way to help you feel better. She is always willing to adjust pressure. The aromatherapy aspect of it is really nice.
