I see 1 review from a recent very angry hater which is disappointing. Not angry at the men who didn't show when they promised, but only the women who did show. I've never had a review like this as a project manager so I felt I should reply somehow tho it's very uncomfortable. Please let me know what you feel I should do about this, or maybe nothing, just move on.
It was a sad day for me when I read this, then saw that Mr Mike took the time to post his comments in as many places as possible for maximum damage. I requested that his personal feelings be removed or adjusted to the "truth" about the project & out of the "defamation of character" mode, I've only seen more posts. I was there at the job thru the entire project and finished thoroughly- I respectfully listened to any direction and frustration regarding the no show workers from Mr Mike and forwarded that to the GC, but it fell on deaf ears. GC was experienced and in charge, didn't need input from anyone.
I worked from initial design, plan, engineering, excavating, cabinets, plumbing, electrical, fireplace, roof & decking w/ cover, procured most construction & finish materials, initial scheduling, added irrigation around the entire property, large added concrete pad, full adu compliant ramp off deck, power & water which was changed to City of Char to be seperate from house- now to the street with a new address. The extras got tied in and some labor & materials got added to complete these items which was paid direct. IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL START- and the subs were fabulous. somewhere along the way the team work went stagnant. The GC...
Mr Mike continued to build anger with me instead of the contractors who from the start, I had to beg on a regular basis to show up. It was a long difficult & stressful stretch but the finish finally came. The extra items, rain and labor delays pushed the completion out but it was still reasonable for NC & all that was done. I was blocked from mo information which made it difficult to see any details & scheduling of the job they were doing. Because of that a couple mistakes were made and had to be redone. At some point, Mike worked directly with the men while delivering drinks snacks to them.
I had bought patio seating & other gifts as job complete gifts.
I then shopped for furniture for his kind wife & mother so it would be move in ready for her. I went to the open house at completion and the kind owner & mother in-law who paid for the contract absolutely loved the final outcome- along with all the neighbors & her work assoc's I met that day. It was a nice event that has been posted.
This is my response. Now I'm hoping to file it away so it doesn't keep me up at nights.
Thanks for listening.
Deborah
NOTE: Mike resent demand is that no one on job use any pics or videos. It will take us awhile to find & unpost everything. So here are some pics of another job that shows 1 area of the job with the quality & detail of our work. read more
