A few years later, we listed our home for sale, but ultimately decided to take it off the market. That's when I reached back out to Lauren. I originally contacted her to help transform our screened-in porch into a more functional living space, but because she's so easy to talk to, our conversation quickly turned into everything we had hoped to find in our "next" home. As we walked through our house together, we realized that instead of moving, we could create our dream home right where we were. Every idea or wish I mentioned was met with, "We can do that." What started as one project grew into a complete transformation of our home. Lauren designed a beautiful custom kitchen and pantry, remodeled our screened-in porch and second-floor bonus room, and added thoughtful finishing touches throughout the house--from updated window treatments and wall treatments to area rugs and décor that finally made our home feel uniquely "us." One of the biggest challenges was that we lived in the house throughout the entire renovation. Lauren coordinated with every contractor to ensure they understood our situation and worked to keep the project moving while minimizing disruptions to our daily lives. Whenever an unexpected issue came up, Lauren was just a phone call or text away with a solution and a clear plan for moving forward. The project has now been complete for a few months, and we still find ourselves looking around our home in amazement. Lauren saw possibilities we never would have imagined and turned them into reality. Instead of moving, we ended up with a home that feels like it was always meant to be ours. We couldn't be happier with the experience and would recommend Lauren without hesitation.

Lauren really listens and understands what her clients are looking for! Her creativity, eye for detail, and impeccable taste transformed our ideas into a space that is not only beautiful but incredibly functional. Lauren blended colors, textures, and styles in ways we never would have thought of -- and the result is a home that feels both beautify and uniquely us. Beyond the design itself, Lauren was a joy to work with -- professional, organized, communicative, and truly is passionate about her work! Thanks to Lauren we now live in a home that exceeds anything we ever imagined. We're endlessly grateful and couldn't recommend her more!

Her reviews on TaskRabbit were great; her before-and-after pictures were flawless, and she was praised for her professionalism. She was prompt and professional in her responses. Unfortunately, we initially had some scheduling conflicts, so I decided to cast a wider net for the job. I then created a task here on Yelp and got additional quotes. She promptly responded again and apologized for the previous scheduling snafus and booked something immediately. She also agreed to honor the previously agreed-upon rate. She came for a consultation, which we conducted remotely, as I was tied up at work. She was gracious enough to walk me through the process on FaceTime, and I described the vision. She listened attentively and even gave my dog some rubs as he trailed her around the house. Due to my schedule, she also worked independently on the day of installation. She kept me informed with texts and pictures of everything as she went along. Due to my poor measuring skills, we were a little short on both walls. I promptly ordered more paper, and she will return to complete the job. Even still, it looked extremely professional, and I am loving interacting with it, even in its unfinished state. If you are looking for an excellent wallpaper installer, look no further. You won't be disappointed.

We wanted something unique, and the straightforward design has been a great choice--not only is it beautiful and well made, but it is also easy to assemble and disassemble for moving thanks to its simple construction and fewer pieces. My only disappointment was the lack of follow-up from our sales representative regarding additional furniture purchases. We were interested in furnishing more of our home, but ultimately ended up shopping at Restoration Hardware because their sales team was more proactive and engaged throughout the process.

Through the process of choosing a furniture for my family room, I realized that I had been doing it wrong whole time. This was my first time working with a designer or design firm but decided that maybe I should let an expert create the space I deserved to live in. I wanted to ensure that I ended up with a home that I would absolutely love coming home to and spending time in and I have. I will never regret that decision and it has been worth every penny! (And, yet, Interior Motives fees were significantly less than I had originally thought they might be.) Working with Will's team has been an amazing experience. He truly changed my life and how view the space in which I live. He has helped me with numerous projects and my remodel completed last year turned out great. From start to finish he, designed, managed and completed my remodel in the agreed time frame which I started with just the kitchen and family room and completed the entire home. From our first meeting, Will always listened attentively and redirected me even when I was a difficult customer. His ability to understand what I wanted when I didn't was spot on. He has been quick to understand what I was going for in terms of design and feel. For my Master bed room and bathroom I wanted a spa-like feel from my favorite DC hotel and he did just that. In my family room we wanted somewhat modern, but comfortable, inviting, warm and with a masculine color. Will nailed it! I NEVER could have even come close to creating these rooms in a way he has. Will is gifted and talented. I would recommend his services to everyone!

She developed two amazing design portfolios for me to review and I was able to pick and choose elements from each to create my final design portfolio. This portfolio served as the blueprint for my interior and exterior design choices. She picked pieces that were cost-conscious based on my pre-established budget and that were available at a variety of local and online retailers.
