After only two appointments and three visits (one visit was a blood work prequel to the following…read morephysical) I am confident that I have a new, reliable internist in Atlanta. Though the office is home to three medical doctors, I have only been seen by Dr. Michelle Evans and I have been very happy with her approach to working with me and with the ways that she has proposed to treat my recent bout of migraine headaches. Now, when it comes to scheduling appointments I am a little old-fashioned and I generally will do whatever I have to do to speak with a live person to set something up. However, this does not seem possible with Buckhead Internal Medicine and when it came time to schedule a physical and then to go in seeking medical treatment I have had to use their email-driven system of scheduling or to call the answering machine there and leave a detailed message regarding the nature of my request. I will admit, they make this system efficient and it works quickly and accurately; I need to get over my worn-out methods. They have always been super-prompt in responding to me and have worked with me very well to fit appointments into my somewhat hectic schedule. I really like Dr. Evans at BIM because she, as well as her assistants and colleagues, is very personable and thorough and neither over-treats or explores avenues that are just unlikely, expensive and unnecessary. In the past, numerous physicians have put me through extensive testing and a gauntlet of procedures that have provided nothing in the end. Today I was pleased to receive a shot and a small prescription that should nip what is most likely ailing me early on so that I can back in working order almost instantly. In addition, parking is always available, though for a fee, and the fact that they are located on the Piedmont Hospital campus allows them to provide quick services to patients that might not be so readily available were they located further away from such a large variety of medical service providers.

I have both Dr. Gibbons and Dr. Monahhan as my physicians, and I couldn't be happier! They are both very knowledgeable, attentive, and they make you feel very comfortable throughout your entire visit. The office uses an electronic method to communicate and share lab results, and I think it is very effective and helpful. It's called Mychart. I've been able to also communicate directly with my physicians regarding any problems or concerns. The staff is very nice as well. In addition, I can request prescription refills, check my lab results, and look over what was discussed during my visit. I love it! Very convenient!! I absolutely love my physicians and I am very happy that I have finally found my primary doctors! Thank you Dr. Gibbons and Dr. Monahann!!

I've had Dr.'s with no people skills but were excellent and took great care of me. So this isn't…read moreabout whether or not she was "nice". This is about service and getting proper care. I was conflicted in even writing this review but I don't want another veteran to go through what I experienced. I'm a disabled veteran who wanted a new Primary Care Doctor outside of the VA. I thought the first visit with her was cool. When I called back to get an appt. because my back pain was becoming too unbearable. She had her nurse tell me that there is nothing she could do, "surgery" is the only option and referred me to Ortho Atlanta. Again, My pain level was at a 8-9! She had no concern about seeing if I need pain medication or to make any assessment. She basically just pushed me off to someone else. I hung up the phone and Went to the VA Walk-In Clinic and they put me out of work until I was able to see my Dr. at Ortho Atlanta almost a MONTH later. Sure I appreciate the referral but a Primary Care Dr. isn't suppose to brush you off like that. I didn't need surgery, I needed "proper care" and help with pain management. I haven't even received a call for follow up, it's been over 5 months. I ended up finding a new Primary Care Dr. outside of Piedmont and feel a lot better about getting the help I need and deserve.

Wait times are long, no bedside manner. Office will bill you for annual physical and office visit…read moreif THEY initiate questions about your health. I did not use her services this year for my annual visit because of the issue I had last year regarding the billing. Since she is the PCP on file, my mammogram records went to her office. I had an abnormal mammogram and was directed to get additional screening. I never received the letter from her office. I can't contact her via the portal for some reason. I have left a message on the office voicemail and no response. This is highly unprofessional. Your health is life and to not provide me mammogram results is ridiculous. Had I not checked my charts updates I would have assumed that everything was fine like it has been every year.
