This realtor told my agent that getting a picture of a deposit check was sufficient to bind the contract until we got home mid-August. . We we're pre-approved for the mortgage, scheduled the inspection for August 17th at which time I was going to hand him a bank check for the entire deposit. YET: even though he had a legally signed contract he continued to show the house! Then yesterday out of thin air he sent a 'termination notice" cancelling the entire contract! What was his reason? For not getting cash in hand for the deposit! One point however: my broker offered to give him the entire down payment that same day but he refused. So much for being a man who keeps his word. Not only did we lose a new home but my agent lost a commission. You can make your own choice, but at least now you have some knowledge of this person to help you make a better informed decision.

During that first interaction he without question assured us, that even though our budget was limited we could achieve a dream house. In a couple of days he took my 3 Post-It notes of the house I wanted to build, and voila! He created external and internal views on paper and by way of digital video, a complete walk-through. I was hooked. 10 months later we moved in ... we had so much fun, Greg & Brom were so much fun to work with and everyday was like Christmas, we would walk the 20 yards to our new construction (we rented another cottage right across the street and just gasped at the progress each day, admittedly I always took the evening tour with a glass of red wine so was always happy!). Now the reason I tell this story ... Greg is not just a realtor, he lives and breathes housing and construction, his enthusiasm and passion are inspirational. He knows building code inside out and can instantly tell you right from wrong. We have kept in touch with Greg throughout the years and shared a few chases on property over the period. Our latest was just a few months back where we secured our second home ... Greg freely admitted that this was his quickest purchase ever People ask me, "How can you be friends with a realtor?" ... quite easily ... On February 2023 I submitted an inquiry at Realtor.com looking for information on a property at a…read morebuilding in Mystic, CT. Within minutes a young lady from Garden Realty was calling looking to find out additional details on our wants and needs. A few minutes later that day, I received an email from Greg Hanner with additional information on the property, the area and an introductory video of himself, his realty company and services. Later that evening, Greg called me to introduce himself already informed on the details from my conversation with his assistant. He shared his background and extensive experience on the southeastern part of CT (2022 and now for 2023 the #1 Agent of the Year for CT New London County). I told him that we were early in our search and that we weren't even sure if we were ready to buy any properties. However, if we found the right place at the right price, we would consider it. Greg was very professional and pleasant, and even with this low-level interest, he was willing to assist us in our search. Over the next few days, he shared a series of property options, his own personal experiences with other buyers, and scheduled a viewing on the original property we had inquired on. Over the next few weeks, Greg facilitated several showings, and was present at each one, very engaged, clearly informed and knowledgeable. It was also very apparent that Greg had plenty of experience in the area, as each property we saw hit many of the must-haves we were looking for. He pointed out where a compromise would be necessary along with pros and cons, at times highlighting features we would not have considered. Finally, it seemed as if Greg knew everyone as we connected with the realtors on the seller's side and others. We requested a showing at another unit in the Mystic building we liked. The unit had a renter and getting in for a viewing required some negotiating. Greg made the necessary arrangements and we there we found our dream unit! Greg helped us come up with the best and fairest offer which after some waiting (and back and forth with Greg) was accepted. Greg presented us with a bank for financing with whom he had plenty of experience and who were best suited for the area. Greg scheduled the property inspection with a local home inspection team he had worked with in the past. Greg was there throughout, asking questions, ensuring that we understood where there were areas of opportunity. From the inspection, there were a number of areas where we would need addressed at some point, so Greg negotiated a credit to the purchase price as to not disrupt the tenant to address some cosmetic issues. Overall, our experience with Greg was very positive. His knowledge of the local market, his experience as seasoned realtor, his pleasant demeanor, with and realistic expectations were exactly what we needed. A short few months later, we are happy owners of a beautiful condo unit in downtown Mystic a few minutes away from restaurants, shops and everything Mystic has to offer. Thanks Greg!!

From my first interaction to my last, they were both very supportive, informative and professional. And I could go on and on with the compliments. I have high expectations and I'm not always the easiest to please and I felt that their service was absolutely outstanding every step of the way. They always responded quickly and with care to any messages or concerns of mine. I felt like they went above and beyond and I was in the best hands throughout the entire process. I will highly recommend Sue to any of my friends and family that are in need of her services. I have already told many people about my great experience so they know to ask me for the best real estate agents contact information if they ever need to buy or sell a home or know anyone who does. She is unethical too! My parents live out of state, and asked If their deposit check could be snail mailed. Sue said no! And insisted at 4:50pm my mom rush to the post office to express mail the check or the sale would be cancelled. My parents were selling their house in NJ; while the original closing date on the condo that Sue Esposito was the listing agent for was August 28, They asked to move it to after Sept 11 because that is when their house closed. Closing dates are moved All the time; mine was changed twice. A two week delay is common and reasonable in real estate. Seller agents should Be flexible and calm and wIlling to work with buyers. Instead, Sue had a conniption and Threatened to relist the property and keep the deposit if the closing didn't occur quickly. On August 29, she did relist the condo my parents had a deposit on (without telling them Of that) despite being informed their closing would be Sept 14!!! She kept the condo on the market for sale the entire time!!! After theIf closing, my parents couldn't access the property for a full day because they weren't given a key!!! She didn't sign the paperwork until three hours after my parents closed, when the sellers paperwork should have been signed PRIOR to the closing so my parents could get get the damn keys they paid For!!!
