She is worth every cent and we didn't look back once after booking. She has quality, personality and style. Melissa shot our wedding in the beginning of September. Rating her is pretty hard, so i've been…read moredwelling on it a bit. On the photographic side she is excellent, has a great eye and amazing talent. On the business side of things she really needs to grow up. We chose Melissa after interviewing 4 or 5 other photographers, as we loved her enthusiasm and style. Our only concerns were that she was new at being the lead photographer in weddings. We did get many photographs which we were very happy with , as stated above she is a great photographer. Her issues are mainly based on lack of communication and maturity. Things that went wrong: Her or her co-photographer were suppose to come get photos of the grooms party getting ready and we were stood up without word whether they were coming or not (her answer wasn't an apology or anything other than "I told the bride we weren't going and she was suppose to tell the groom" (asking the bride on her wedding day to play secretary? really?) She had asked us to save a seat in the limo (taking the seat of another guest) so she could shoot the rides over and back in there. Not only did we not bring a camera as we didn't suspect to need one, she decided not to come in the limo (ie no photos of the ride, which we wanted) again no apology or explanation. She had repeatedly assured us she would get all the normal group shots (bridesparty, groomsparty, with parents etc etc) and we didn't need to worry about it. In the chaos that followed all organization was left to me (the groom) as Melissa was very quiet and never took charge as she said she would. The extra photos/groups that we requested were begrudgingly shot (but turned out great). Melissa had assured us that she had scouted the location, which became very apparent that she had not, requesting that we do all our group shots in front of a chainlink fence. At the wedding reception we were to have two photographers one shooting a photo booth and one doing crowd shots and eating, toasting etc. The 2nd photographer i gather came down with a migraine and was sitting in the car (This i guess was the 3rd and a last minute sub as second photographer as originally we were told it would be her husband, then she was having an 8+ month pregnant lady as second). Again when we asked about this she never took responsibility but made the excuse that she was sick in the car. On the communication front: She continually promised us copies of the contract, repeatedly saying we'd get it that night or the next day, we finally received it on October 23rd (the wedding was Sept. 3rd). She also likes to refer to the contract when it is in her favor (we asked for copies of other photos taken as we were missing ones we knew were taken and would have rather a bad copy than none.) and she stated that it the contract called for X number of photos and she wouldn't be supplying anymore. Though when we point out that she was in breach of other parts of it (8 hours of two photographers) it is ignored. When we originally asked about the things detailed here, she first didn't respond and then after follow up said she would respond the next day. We again had to follow up with her to get her to respond a week later. She has yet to respond to further emails despite several attempts to follow up with her. I think when we got our photos we would have recommended her to others but with our interactions since then (or lack there of) I'd recommend looking elsewhere. more of a 2.5 star review.

Rose was simply the best. Period. End of review…read more For backstory: I had low expectations coming into this because I had previously hated the headshots I got before her. The lighting was bad, made me look 10 years older and accentuated every line on my face. It left me feeling pretty disgusted with how I look. Off the bat, the experience is just different. You meet at cute cafe. Rose goes over what to expect quickly and you head out around the area to snap a few different backdrops. She knew exactly what looked good and especially tips for posing to look the most natural. At no point in time will you struggle to figure it out on your own (like my past experience). I love that you meet in this casual setting. It takes the pressure off to begin. She asked the purpose for my appointment which was so thoughtful and personal. I relayed that I got a promotion to a senior leadership position and I really wanted to convey fresh energetic vibes which she totally captured. I felt like a quintessential millennial boss! From here, you get going on the snapping. Chatting with Rose was actually my favorite part. It was easy, fun and honestly a great time. How many times can you say that about getting work headshots done?! After about 20 min and 4 locations - we sat back down to go over images and what packages I wanted. I chose THE PROFESSIONAL $449 | 6 Final Edited Images -- Duplicates in Black & White -- Sized for Both Print & Web-Use -- Additional Edited Images - $20/ea. All together was $49 (deposit) + $400 and I tipped $80. It may seem a bit pricey but YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR and more! I loved that I didn't have to go into a stuffy studio. $49 deposit was added to this. It was genuinely hard to choose. I loved every one! I went with the ones that had a warmer back drop. I was wearing white and the contrast was just perfect. She knows what she is doing! I didn't expect to want to use these for social media but I totally did. Rose even gave me an unedited version right after our session so I could use for our company website without waiting - it was awesome. I am forever going to refer every person I know to come here as long as Rose is the photographer. Will post my photos once the edited ones are back to me!!

I came to Happy Hour looking for some professional photos to use on my LinkedIn. Unfortunately the…read morephotos I ended up with were not up to the caliber I would need for a professional profile. Garrett was kind and helpful during our 30min session. I was not terribly impressed with the results, but also felt badly about having taken up his time and so I paid the $300 with the hopes that the two photos would look better after post-processing. Of course, there wasn't much of a difference in the final product. When I subsequently reached out to Happy Hour Headshot to let them know that I was not happy with the work and wouldn't be using the photos for my profile, their response was to let me know that "from a technical and creative perspective [my] images are exactly what [they] shoot for" and that they could offer me a "discounted re-shoot". Clearly, I am at fault here for having paid for a product I didn't like (and I don't expect to get any sort of refund at this point), but I would certainly not recommend this service to anyone.

Larissa was happy to work with my budget since she was just starting out in Seattle. We were able to negotiate 2 hours of photography and a few hours of editing. I had checked out her website beforehand and was impressed with her portfolio, and her event and portrait photography seemed to be aligned with what we were looking for. Larissa ended up being at the event for 4 hours, taking lots of pictures, blending in with the event attendees, and popping out of nowhere to capture Kodak-worthy moments. She thoughtfully sent me a few lightly edited photos the same night (!) so that I could post these photos on social media for event highlights. She sent me all the edited photos within the week and we couldn't be more pleased. She got a variety of candid photos that cast us in a flattering light while capturing the playful energy of the event. Looking at the photos, I could almost remember the specific details of the moments they're captured. I would recommend Larissa Coe Photography if you're looking for event and portrait photography services that don't break the bank, but book her quick, she might be out of your price range in a few months! :)

Nityia is very responsive and friendly, scheduling was easy. She has a gift for finding beautiful spots and capturing angles and light in a captivating way. The photos were beautiful, and her suggestions for wardrobe options and location (as well as movement shots) were beyond awesome. I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of my photos, Nityia is a very talented photographer, and her work showcases this. The reason why I am giving 4 stars is that while the photo quality is phenomenal, her guidance was not helpful. I felt more awkward and overwhelmed. She shoots quickly, and if you are not used to it, there is no time to get relaxed and ease in to posing. What I would recommend is to practice poses and facial expressions in the mirror beforehand, and communicate with Nityia if her guidance is not effective for you (I waited until the end to speak up). That being said, her methods may be super helpful for some! TLDR - great quality photos, but make sure you are prepared for poses/facial expressions on your own beforehand.
