She was very professional, but also warm and set me at my ease. She listened attentively to my hopes/expectations, and then proceeded to exceed them. The biggest surprise for me was the extent to which Adrian's presence, in and of itself, at the wedding was a major plus - she fit in seamlessly, interacted with me and my guests in a relaxing, fun way and served to discretely enhance the atmosphere. Her suggestions tended to be spot on, and she showed a wonderful knack for appreciating the complex dynamics of blended families, physical disabilities and all the other stresses that can make a photo shoot tricky. I was surprised to find that her materially contributing to making me feel more confident and serene. She isn't the least expensive of wedding photographers, but you more than get what you pay for (and she isn't topping out the high end either). I had hoped for an emphasis on candid, photojournalistic type shots and she delivered some spectacular ones. Her partner Matteo was an important part of the equation, adding angles and an additional point of view. I was extremely glad she suggested including him as he was a lovely addition and his work showed in the results.

I fell in love their work through various wedding blogs, and hired them to shoot our wedding that took place in August 2009. Dorothee shot our wedding and I can't believe how amazing out pictures are. Somehow she was able to be everywhere at once! My husband and I agreed that on the day of she was the perfect amount of "present" (guiding people, getting people together for group shots without being pushy, somehow always there the exact second I needed to talk to her) and "invisible" (she got a ton of great candid shots.) While she is only in Seattle part time, she still makes herself really available to answer questions, and is proactive about showing samples and figuring things out. Not only is she a fantastic photographer, but she's really sweet also. Just the sort of person you would want at your wedding. Side note: we did not use Liz for our engagement photos, as we had the family member take them, but in retrospect, I would recommend all couples do so. Why? I just had the best experience with Robin Purcell at Purcell Photography. I needed some new…read morecorporate headshots and had a session with Robin this Saturday. First, I LOVE the fact that she will work around my business schedule and be available on the weekends. I went to her home studio, but she will also travel to you. She took a ton of pictures and shared them with me along the way. It was so cool to see how her camera angles and different lighting techniques affected how the pictures looked. She posted one of my pictures to her Facebook page (with my permission). I felt like a rock star with all of the wonderful comments I got back on it. She professionally edited my images and they all turned out so great. Note - I've had experience with Robin's photography in the past. She did an outdoor photoshoot for a band that I am friends with. She was incredibly creative with the shots and the band got some amazing photos out of it to use on their album and their website. Robin also does a lot of family photos and baby photos. Also, all our guests LOVED that it was an actual robot. People are still talking about how much fun it was. Leading up to the wedding - the owner was really kind, responsive, & patient. We were really late with picking out our backdrop (there are so many to choose from!) and picking out our logo (you can submit a custom one or he will make a basic one for you) and he never got impatient with us. Everything from start to finish was so easy! During the wedding - the operator assigned to our event was really cool. There were so many drunk people who didn't know what they were doing, but he handled them with grace and courtesy. I was very impressed with his professionalism. After the wedding - the standard time on his contract is 2 weeks, but we got ours in less time than that. The photos - ours turned out great. The lighting was a tiny bit overblown, but for photo booth photos - they were the best I've ever seen! There were a few favorite props everyone gravitated towards, but they had a great variety of props there. Everyone looked like they had such a blast. What's nice is that they not only give you the composited picture, they give you all the full-size pictures of the 3 pictures that made the composited picture. I'm super happy with the people, product, and service I received. If I ever throw another massive party, I'll definitely be using them again!
