DG catered our mom's celebration of life service for 75 at St. Rita Church in Fairfax. She came highly recommended by the staff and parishioners there and did not disappoint. We chose a cold buffet line with one hot item with an Italian theme. A nice mix of salads, meats, vege items, etc etc. just as outlined on the website. The set up, food, presentation, and service were top notch. The two servers were efficient, friendly, and took care of everything including clean up. We did not run out of food--there was plenty leftover. The costs were reviewed in detail ahead of time and there were no surprises. Professionally done. Debbie catered my daughters Bat Mitzvah (100 people) at the Log Cabin in San Anselmo. She was great and easy to work with. The food was very good (lots of compliments from guests) and the staff were amazing. I would definitely use her again. I recommend getting a tasting because there were a few things we didn't love at the tasting but the food we ultimately chose was great! Everyone loved the NY Strip. Debbie and her team did an amazing job catering our wedding at the Outdoor Art Club. Our guests absolutely loved the food and we couldn't be happier with how professional and efficient her staff was. Debbie had an extensive master menu for us to choose from and was very accommodating whenever we requested minor changes (i.e. grilled vs. baked, sauce on the side, etc.). She was also very responsive whenever we had questions, concerns and last minute changes to our guest count, set up instructions, and rentals. We were also incredibly pleased by the customer service provided by her staff. From the lead to the bartender to the servers, everyone went above and beyond - they came early and prepared, transformed the main room into an elegant dining space and the front patio into a fun beautiful cocktail area, and did an amazing job cleaning up and boxing up all the leftovers for us to take home. We used Debbie for our wedding at Travis Marina in Sausalito in November 2021and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Planning the wedding in only 6 months Debbie was extremely helpful and understanding during COVID. Food was very important to us and weren't able to have a tasting before the wedding so we were a little nervous going into their day. The food was amazing with huge portions and served perfectly warm for everyone. Multiple guests came up and raved about the lamb, chicken and passed appetizers. She and her team provide outstanding services throughout the night without us having to worry about a thing. We had Debbie do our wedding and the food was particularly good and everyone complimented us that it was some of the best wedding food that they had ever had at a wedding. The steak and the salmon were cooked just right. The staff was quite experienced and were very friendly. They generally set things up well and the service was good. The good thing is with Debbie is you can pick your own desserts and she let us move the drinks and desserts to her kitchen before the event which helped a lot. They generally did a good job with the set up (though the umbrellas we rented ended up in the shade for some reason). The food looked good and was plentiful and they packed a good amount of leftovers for us to take home at the end of the night. We had 2 bartenders for ~80 people and the only thing is that people complained that the drinks didn't have enough alcohol in them and that they didn't get enough champagne. The the end of the night we had about 80% of the drinks / alcohol left that we purchased but the guests were telling us they didn't get enough alcohol for some reason. We asked them to serve wine to guests but they just put them on the tables so we ended up with a bunch of open wine bottles as well. They also told us half way through that we were running out of tequila so we ordered more mid event only to find that the new bottle was not opened and the original bottle was 60% full at the end of the night. That being said we were able to pick our drinks and alcohol which saved us a lot for our particular venue and the bartenders were friendly. The set up also looked appropriate although I would recommend they put all the drinks in front for people to see the selection as some things were not drunk at all. Overall, Debbie's catering did a great job and I would recommend them for your wedding. Food was great! The table settings were good and they were easy to work with ahead of the event. Debbie Ghiringhelli Catering catered my wedding this past Sunday. They were absolutely incredible from start to finish. Every item we tasted during our tasting was delicious, and ended up being just as delicious cooked at high quantity on wedding day. The staff was able to stick with the wedding schedule, even though we had a very tight schedule with dinner leading into dessert. Additionally, Debbie and her staff was very attentive to our gluten-intolerant guests, and provided gluten-free versions of their dishes for those guests. They made sure to find those guests at the beginning of dinner and make sure that the ingredients in the revised dishes were acceptable for them. Debbie and her staff also even helped us set up for the wedding. This was a big help, since I didn't hire decorators. They arrived a few hours early and set up the entire wedding exactly according to my instructions. This was worth every penny of the overtime I paid for the extra hours of their work, because it ended up being more affordable than hiring a separate decorator, and I already trusted Debbie and her staff so it meant less moving parts on a busy wedding day. Finally, Debbie and her staff were so incredibly friendly. They were quick to respond to emails and answered a million questions I had with kindness and patience. Debbie catered a family funeral yesterday. She made everything so easy and her prices are very fair. The initial phone call set everything in motion. Debbie is very easy to work with. We did an appetizer reception and selected the appetizers and then everything else fell into place after that. They include lemonade, iced tea, water, appetizers, servers, cheese platters, desserts, coffee and tea. We added a bartender and purchased our own beer and wine. Debbie catered my August wedding and I can't emphasize enough how excellent she, her daughter Jessica, and her team were!!! They are the perfect mix of professional and personal, and took a ton of weight off my shoulders during the planning process. They truly went above and beyond the requirements of a catering company. Debbie lent me her own votives and vases free of charge and coordinated setup of the flowers with our florist. My husband and I ordered our own wine, beer and champagne through BevMo and Debbie's staff bartended under the overall cost. So cool of her! Another company I spoke with said a bartender (even with supplied booze) would be an extra 1.4k--yikes! Debbie was extremely generous about working with a budget that was pretty limited by Bay Area standards. She also recommended our florist Karen and our cake baker Red Hill Cake and Pastry-- who both did an absolutely INCREDIBLE job. She's worked with them lots of times and they all coordinated the drop off smoothly, which was a huge help on the big day. And the food was AMAZING!!!! We had an appetizer reception with crab cakes, mini lox bagels, steak and mushroom skewers, a cheese plate, spinach dip (my new husband still raves about this dip!) mini sausages, deviled eggs, chèvre puff pastries, and other delicious stuff. Oh and she brought POG punch to mix with the champagne we supplied for fancy mimosas. SO SO GOOD!!! Not to mention her team was willing to put rock candy stirrers in the glasses of champagne, which I'm sure was a lot of extra work. Many guests also came up to me and told me how much they loved the bartender! I didn't really get the chance to talk to him, but apparently he was super fun and funny! Bottom line: Debbie and her team couldn't have done anything better than they did! They were kind, professional, generous and made amazing food!! Ever since I can remember she was the one who picked up the phone at Deer Park Villa and made all my catered family events so easy to plan. Now she and her daughter Jessica are catering on their own. I was a guest yesterday at a party catered by Debbie and crew. As soon as I entered, I saw the bar, with wine and soft drinks. The champagne was nice and cold; the service for bar and appetizers was impeccable. The timing, the availability, the friendliness of the crew: all impressive. When it came time for the main course, it was beautiful, delicious, and easy to access. Many guests came back for seconds. Empty plates were wisked away by the crew in such a way that conversations were never interrupted. A few of us guests were allowed to bring desserts, and not only did Debbie arrange them beautifully and serve them; they kept each dessert supplied as the guests took them; and they washed and dried the pans and containers of ours! A crewmember was stationed at the main cake, and cut each guest the desired amount. Afterwards, take-out containers were supplied. Debbie thought of everything. In her unassuming way, she did not display her name or cards. I had to request one, in order to write this review. I felt that she and her crew were over and above in doing their job perfectly. read more
