What a wonderful catering company! Took care of a 70th birthday party with 110 guests. Food was delicious (many compliments) and plentiful (we sent guests home with packaged leftovers). Debbie was so easy to work with, made great recommendations on the menu and delivered flawlessly. Her staff, many of them have worked with her for years, were all friendly, efficient and happy to respond to any request I had during the evening. I highly recommend Debbie and her excellent team. read more

We hosted our holiday party at Mantra Wines, a beautiful wine bar with an open living room vibe that allows people to mingle and move around with ease. We had so much fun! Debbie Ghiringhelli Catering provided savory appetizers that paired magically with Mantra's wines. Everyone commented on our yummy food, so artfully displayed on Mantra's giant burl wood table and passed around by Sean & Kristi who seemed to read the room. Thank you Hilary & Denise at Mantra, we love working with you! Thank you Debbie Ghiringhelli with Ghiringhelli Catering, your food is the best! read more

DG catered our mom's celebration of life service for 75 at St. Rita Church in Fairfax. She came highly recommended by the staff and parishioners there and did not disappoint. We chose a cold buffet line with one hot item with an Italian theme. A nice mix of salads, meats, vege items, etc etc. just as outlined on the website. The set up, food, presentation, and service were top notch. The two servers were efficient, friendly, and took care of everything including clean up. We did not run out of food--there was plenty leftover. The costs were reviewed in detail ahead of time and there were no surprises. Professionally done. We were in good hands with this caterer. read more

Debbie catered my daughters Bat Mitzvah (100 people) at the Log Cabin in San Anselmo. She was great and easy to work with. The food was very good (lots of compliments from guests) and the staff were amazing. I would definitely use her again. I recommend getting a tasting because there were a few things we didn't love at the tasting but the food we ultimately chose was great! Everyone loved the NY Strip. The ice cream bar was also a big hit. As the party host I didn't get the opportunity to eat too much food myself, but have plenty of leftovers to eat now! read more

So amazing. Not only did Debbie help us out at the last minute with our catering need for 75+ people, she made herself available at all hours to answer any questions we had. Her team was excellent the day of the event and the food was exquisite. read more

After the sad loss of my mother-in-law and a brief ceremony at Keatons Redwood Chapel, Debbie Ghiringhelli catering came to our home to cater, and I cannot stress enough how FANTASTIC they were. The servers were efficient, kind, respectful and super accommodating. The food was delicious, we had small bites, light fare. So good! It was so nice to be able to mingle with our friends and family during this time and not have to worry about serving or clean up. I can't thank them enough. Highly recommend and I hope to use them again during a happier occasion. read more

I used Debbie twice now. First for a rehearsal dinner for 30 people in a hall. That was may first experience with a catering service and Debbie was so patient and helpful. Her staff arrived early, set everything up, served and cleaned up. Our guests raved about the food and friendly staff. I recently used her again for a much smaller event. A very small wedding on our deck, only 15 people. Her staff delivered the food in a warming oven and we served it. Everything went amazingly well. Food arrived promptly on time. Delivery person was friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, warm with generous portions. We were so impressed and pleased. Wether your event is large or small, Debbie offers the same wonderful service at a fair price. You can't go wrong with Debbie read more

Debbie and her team just catered two back to back events for me. My wife recently passed away and Debbie was recommended by the San Rafael Elks lodge where we were going to have a celebration of life reception. I also had a Rosary at Monte's Chapel of the Hills the night prior and Ed also recommended Debbie! I met with Debbie and really wasn't thinking to clearly and just told her to pick what was best. No wonder she gets 5 stars all the time! She was extremely accommodating and ALL of her staff was really wonderful with a special tip of the hat to Greg! We had about 200 folks at the celebration of life and all really enjoyed the cooking. Atta a girl Debs! read more

Debbie and her team did an amazing job catering our wedding at the Outdoor Art Club. Our guests absolutely loved the food and we couldn't be happier with how professional and efficient her staff was. Debbie had an extensive master menu for us to choose from and was very accommodating whenever we requested minor changes (i.e. grilled vs. baked, sauce on the side, etc.). She was also very responsive whenever we had questions, concerns and last minute changes to our guest count, set up instructions, and rentals. We were also incredibly pleased by the customer service provided by her staff. From the lead to the bartender to the servers, everyone went above and beyond - they came early and prepared, transformed the main room into an elegant dining space and the front patio into a fun beautiful cocktail area, and did an amazing job cleaning up and boxing up all the leftovers for us to take home. They were all so friendly as well, always checking in with us and our guests to see if we needed anything. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our choice! read more

We used Debbie for our wedding at Travis Marina in Sausalito in November 2021and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Planning the wedding in only 6 months Debbie was extremely helpful and understanding during COVID. Food was very important to us and weren't able to have a tasting before the wedding so we were a little nervous going into their day. The food was amazing with huge portions and served perfectly warm for everyone. Multiple guests came up and raved about the lamb, chicken and passed appetizers. She and her team provide outstanding services throughout the night without us having to worry about a thing. I would recommend Debbie for any wedding especially if yo are getting married at Travis Marina! read more

We've known Debbie and her work for many years and she always presents a fabulous spread for any occasion.

We had Debbie do our wedding and the food was particularly good and everyone complimented us that it was some of the best wedding food that they had ever had at a wedding. The steak and the salmon were cooked just right. The staff was quite experienced and were very friendly. They generally set things up well and the service was good. The good thing is with Debbie is you can pick your own desserts and she let us move the drinks and desserts to her kitchen before the event which helped a lot. They generally did a good job with the set up (though the umbrellas we rented ended up in the shade for some reason). The food looked good and was plentiful and they packed a good amount of leftovers for us to take home at the end of the night. We had 2 bartenders for ~80 people and the only thing is that people complained that the drinks didn't have enough alcohol in them and that they didn't get enough champagne. The the end of the night we had about 80% of the drinks / alcohol left that we purchased but the guests were telling us they didn't get enough alcohol for some reason. We asked them to serve wine to guests but they just put them on the tables so we ended up with a bunch of open wine bottles as well. They also told us half way through that we were running out of tequila so we ordered more mid event only to find that the new bottle was not opened and the original bottle was 60% full at the end of the night. That being said we were able to pick our drinks and alcohol which saved us a lot for our particular venue and the bartenders were friendly. The set up also looked appropriate although I would recommend they put all the drinks in front for people to see the selection as some things were not drunk at all. Overall, Debbie's catering did a great job and I would recommend them for your wedding. Food was great! The table settings were good and they were easy to work with ahead of the event. I would highly recommend them! read more

No dinner is too small for this excellent caterer. My husband's club has used Debbie for special club events for many years. No one has ever been disappointed. Everything is impeccable, the food, the service the ambiance she and her staff create for each event. And since the lockdown, we have used Debbie's home delivery option for just the two of us. Everything is perfectly packaged and prepared and the portions are very generous. You cannot go wrong with anything that comes out of Debbie's kitchen. read more

Debbie Ghiringhelli Catering catered my wedding this past Sunday. They were absolutely incredible from start to finish. Every item we tasted during our tasting was delicious, and ended up being just as delicious cooked at high quantity on wedding day. The staff was able to stick with the wedding schedule, even though we had a very tight schedule with dinner leading into dessert. Additionally, Debbie and her staff was very attentive to our gluten-intolerant guests, and provided gluten-free versions of their dishes for those guests. They made sure to find those guests at the beginning of dinner and make sure that the ingredients in the revised dishes were acceptable for them. Debbie and her staff also even helped us set up for the wedding. This was a big help, since I didn't hire decorators. They arrived a few hours early and set up the entire wedding exactly according to my instructions. This was worth every penny of the overtime I paid for the extra hours of their work, because it ended up being more affordable than hiring a separate decorator, and I already trusted Debbie and her staff so it meant less moving parts on a busy wedding day. Finally, Debbie and her staff were so incredibly friendly. They were quick to respond to emails and answered a million questions I had with kindness and patience. They also made my whole wedding day flow effortlessly. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. read more

We just used Debbie for our wedding and rehearsal dinner. I cannot express enough the gratitude I have for Debbie and her wonderful staff. Not only was Debbie extremely helpful regarding the food, she was helpful with many other aspects of the wedding planning. Oh and the food? Amazing! Debbie catered a family funeral yesterday. She made everything so easy and her prices are very fair. The initial phone call set everything in motion. Debbie is very easy to work with. We did an appetizer reception and selected the appetizers and then everything else fell into place after that. They include lemonade, iced tea, water, appetizers, servers, cheese platters, desserts, coffee and tea. We added a bartender and purchased our own beer and wine. Many guests were impressed and asked for their card. Our lead server was Diane and she was very accomodating. read more

Debbie and her staff catered my mother's funeral reception last week. I was so impressed with everything....Staff, food, drinks, service, flowers, attention to every detail. I love working with Debbie G. As the manager of the Marin Art & Garden Center I get to work with a lot of great caterers. Debbie is one of them. The first thing I always notice is the fact that her friendly and professional staff are the same for each event. This speaks to how much everyone really loves Debbie. Having staff that really knows the venue is valuable. As far as her food goes, I have to say her mashed potatoes are some of the best I've ever had. Comforting and satisfying. Her food is like that home cooked meal you have been longing for. I highly recommend Debbie G. for your next event. read more

Debbie-what an amazing job you and your staff did for my dad's 70th birthday! Nothing but excellent compliments on all of the food. In addition, it should be noted that the staff helped with decorations, keeping on time about different events throughout the day-cake cutting etc. At the end of the party after Debbie and crew had set up all the tables and chairs with the linens, then broke it all down and put it away I was approached by her daughter who found a gold ring while sweeping up. This shows true honesty and integrity-the owner of the ring was beyond grateful! THANKS again for a job well done and for helping my dads party be a great success! read more

Debbie catered my August wedding and I can't emphasize enough how excellent she, her daughter Jessica, and her team were!!! They are the perfect mix of professional and personal, and took a ton of weight off my shoulders during the planning process. They truly went above and beyond the requirements of a catering company. Debbie lent me her own votives and vases free of charge and coordinated setup of the flowers with our florist. My husband and I ordered our own wine, beer and champagne through BevMo and Debbie's staff bartended under the overall cost. So cool of her! Another company I spoke with said a bartender (even with supplied booze) would be an extra 1.4k--yikes! Debbie was extremely generous about working with a budget that was pretty limited by Bay Area standards. She also recommended our florist Karen and our cake baker Red Hill Cake and Pastry-- who both did an absolutely INCREDIBLE job. She's worked with them lots of times and they all coordinated the drop off smoothly, which was a huge help on the big day. And the food was AMAZING!!!! We had an appetizer reception with crab cakes, mini lox bagels, steak and mushroom skewers, a cheese plate, spinach dip (my new husband still raves about this dip!) mini sausages, deviled eggs, chèvre puff pastries, and other delicious stuff. Oh and she brought POG punch to mix with the champagne we supplied for fancy mimosas. SO SO GOOD!!! Not to mention her team was willing to put rock candy stirrers in the glasses of champagne, which I'm sure was a lot of extra work. Many guests also came up to me and told me how much they loved the bartender! I didn't really get the chance to talk to him, but apparently he was super fun and funny! Bottom line: Debbie and her team couldn't have done anything better than they did! They were kind, professional, generous and made amazing food!! I don't know what I'd have done without them! read more

I had a little trouble contacting Debbie Ghiringhelli when I needed help with a family event recently. Ever since I can remember she was the one who picked up the phone at Deer Park Villa and made all my catered family events so easy to plan. Now she and her daughter Jessica are catering on their own. I recognized their staff from my previous parties and Debbie was even there helping out. My party was well taken care of. The food was plentiful and delicious, especially the appetizers. I had a great time celebrating with my friends and family. This is my first Yelp, but I think Debbie Ghiringhelli and her crew need more people to know that they are still together and catering as good, if not better, than before. read more

I was a guest yesterday at a party catered by Debbie and crew. As soon as I entered, I saw the bar, with wine and soft drinks. The champagne was nice and cold; the service for bar and appetizers was impeccable. The timing, the availability, the friendliness of the crew: all impressive. When it came time for the main course, it was beautiful, delicious, and easy to access. Many guests came back for seconds. Empty plates were wisked away by the crew in such a way that conversations were never interrupted. A few of us guests were allowed to bring desserts, and not only did Debbie arrange them beautifully and serve them; they kept each dessert supplied as the guests took them; and they washed and dried the pans and containers of ours! A crewmember was stationed at the main cake, and cut each guest the desired amount. Afterwards, take-out containers were supplied. Debbie thought of everything. In her unassuming way, she did not display her name or cards. I had to request one, in order to write this review. I felt that she and her crew were over and above in doing their job perfectly. read more
