He passed of late stage heart failure not 2 months later. Also, when we received his medical records for insurance purposes, they were sparse and obviously not accurate or thorough. They refused to give them to me though, our insurance had to get them. California law requires vets to give owners a summary of medical records that includes history, treatment, and medications. None were included (Under 16 CCR § 2032.3).

The real problem though is the rude, uncaring desk staff. When my pharmacist complained that they didn't send a refill request they refused to deal with them- so for two years I had to go monthly to a pharmacy 1/2 hour out of my way. When I complained the desk person cancelled my dogs appointment without telling me and said they would not allow us there anymore. Others posted that this happened to them also. Something fishy going on, and VERY unprofessional! They didn't care that my dog would be out of meds, lied and said they had no appointments (they did) and that they couldn't give a refill (they did). Many online complaints and pet owners having to go elsewhere because they're so difficult. Not worth the trouble!

She gave him one bottle of antibiotics. Made a second appointment because we notice it was changing and not for the better. She was in the office with us for maybe three minutes said he was okay. We tried to make a third appointment but they were closed on Monday and I started to call Tuesday from 8-10:30 but the phone was busy the whole time so I sent my husband there in person because my dogs testicles have doubled in size and looks to be rotting. They dismissed up and told us to go somewhere else and just get him nurtured. She did not take three minutes out to see him . There were words exchanged with the staff. Due to the dismissal that they gave us. When my dog needed them the most. This was now thanks giving and limited to other veterinary being open. We found one in Aptos. It's now from the first time she saw him to him going to another vet is over a month. In this month the new vet discovered it was not a spider bit but a tumor, shin infection and possibly cancer in his lymph node. If she would have not wasted precious time we could have save a lot of pain my dogs was in. If you love you animal find a different veterinary that will care. And keep there phone on the hook. The reception said the phone was off the hook because they took it off. What kind of business does that during business hours. She will never get my service. And I will tell everyone the same

I tried our vet, who said that they would not be able to help, I also went to an "Emergency Center" who also was not able to see my dog. I then found Wave, the Doctor examined the dog to include bloodwork. They identified the problem and almost literally brought him back from the dead. Obi is now almost back to his old self and I should have my friend around for a while longer. I would enthusiastically recommend Wave to anyone who needs Vet service.

I brought my dog Mochi here for a dental cleaning. Mochi's dental cleaning itself went well. Dr…read more Wavrick was kind and I felt Mochi was cared for during the procedure. Unfortunately, the administrative side of our experience and the post-op care we received was very frustrating. We once drove an hour and a half to our scheduled appointment only to be told the doctor wasn't in and the office forgot to contact us to reschedule. After the dental cleaning, Mochi developed bad breath again. I reached out to the clinic and was told the doctor would prescribe antibiotics, but due to delays around the holidays, it took about three weeks for the prescription to be sent. During that time Mochi contracted Giardia and our local vet advised against giving additional antibiotics. Once he recovered, I tried to fill the original prescription, but Wave rejected it, saying it had expired. Even after explaining the situation , including that the delay wasn't in my control and the prescription was never filled, I was told I'd have to pay for another visit to get a new one. While Dr. Wavrick was compassionate during the initial visit, the lack of support and empathy with the prescription, the scheduling errors, prescription delays, and lack of flexibility left me disappointed, especially given how far we travel to come here. I can't say I will recommend Wave if you are looking for quality care for your beloved pets.

This Banfield location is by far the worst I've visited. I called about two weeks ago to make an…read moreappointment because my usual location, Sand City, couldn't issue a travel certificate for my dog to go to Canada. The nurse scheduled me for a Thursday appointment, and I planned my day accordingly. However, I never received a confirmation email, nor did the appointment show up in the Banfield app. Concerned, I called an hour before my appointment since it was a 45-minute drive. The receptionist put me on hold for 25 minutes while I was already on my way to Salinas--only to hang up on me. When I called back, she immediately asked if she could put me on hold again. I said no, but she insisted it would be brief. After another 12 minutes, she finally answered and told me that there was no record of my appointment. At this point, I was beyond frustrated. I explained that I was already halfway there and needed to see the doctor. She said I might have to wait, which I was fine with. But as I got closer to the location, she called again to say the doctor couldn't see me that day. I asked when the next available appointment was, and she scheduled me for Saturday morning. On Saturday, I arrived at 10:45 AM. Typically, my dog's exam takes a couple of hours, so I waited in my car, making some necessary phone calls. They assured me they would call as soon as they saw Luna--but two hours passed with no update. When I went inside to ask, they said they would contact me soon. I didn't want to drive 50 miles back home just to return later, so I continued waiting. At 3:00 PM, a nurse finally called me, but instead of providing an update, he rudely questioned me about my dog's medication, almost as if he was confronting me. Now it's 3:25 PM, and I'm still waiting, wasting an entire day that I could have spent working on my projects. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone.

I took my cat to have his teeth cleaned, found he needed teeth pulled, but passed away later that day. Banfield takes in too many pets at a time and are no longer monitoring their patients. Banfield killed my boy!
