I have used Dean and his services for many years. From removing several large trees, stump-grinding, and even laying St. Augustine sod in my last two houses, his jobs have turned out beautifully! Every time I hire him, his guys are prompt and do the job right. Some crews can do good work but leave a mess; not Dean's crew! I've seen Dean come over to the job site and personally oversee his guys, making sure every detail is complete to my (and my wife's, which is even more important! ) satisfaction. You can tell he takes pride in his work. On my current home we also asked him to remove an Areca Palm that was too close to the house. This decision was made last minute, and although not part of the quote, he made it virtually impossible to say no! As we watched his guys take it out, we had no idea just how deep and intertwined the roots were with our irrigation. They took care not to damage any pipes, which was a relief! Recently I reached out to him again after Hurricane Ian struck. No matter what the job, his prices are always spot on, and the work is done correct and with the proper equipment. He came out to give me a quote on installing an irrigation system (he was a referral and I thought, he does tree service why irrigation now) we walked to the back yard where the service is needed, he looked at it maybe 309 seconds and said "OK", I said don't you need to measure or anything? They stepped in to help out a friend's landscaping company to remove six pine trees on two neighboring properties. They did a really good job until they dropped a tree limb on my pool equipment and refused to pay for the damage. They were paid up front for the job by the landscaping company. It was back on February 2022 and the landscaping company has had to take on refunding me $900 for the damage that Dean's Tree company did. They wouldn't even split the loss. Not reliable! This is how Deans Tree Service takes care of business. After I complained on social media he contacted me and asked me not to slander his company and good name. I told him to do what he said he would do and fix it. I also told him to look up the definition of slander in the dictionary (if he knows what one is). Defined as making false statements, the only problem is it's all true and he knows this. He then said he would take care of the damage as promised almost a year ago. Well this is what I get for taking the man for his word which is worthless, a real hack job by Dean himself I presume? Certainly not a professional concrete man. They blocked a residential road I lived on without a permit. Pointed and told me to turnaround and get out of here when I was trying to get to my house 50 ft away. Then left a 3 mound in the road for the night. Incredibly rude and obnoxious workers. I guess their idea of a traffic maintenance plan is debris all over the road, and rude employees pointing a finger away and saying get out of here then turning their backs. read more

This company has been unresponsive and unwilling to live up to their promise. Several months ago, (July 19, 2021) I employed Dean's to trim hedges on my property. Their work was sloppy and I had to clean up after they left. That's when I discovered they burned holes in my lanai screens when their equipment came in contact with the screens. I informed them about the damage which they then inspected. They wrote me and authorized the repair work and promised to reimburse me for the damage. I paid $194 to have the screens repaired. The repair work was finally completed in December, due to labor shortages. I sent Dean's Tree Service copies of the repair bills. I have written and called repeatedly but have not received payment or any constructive response - except they said at one point (February 23) they forgot about it and would pay. On April 1, they said it was a rough week and they would send me the check. On April 15, they said it was sent to the wrong address. On April 25, they said the check was mailed. Now, ten days later, I still have not received payment. I can't understand why they don't keep their word. Instead they are acting like they don't care about their customers. I have copies of all correspondence in which they acknowledged responsibility and agreed to pay for the damage. read more

Dean's Tree service is a fraud. Don't use them. I hired Dean's Tree Service to remove a tree and grind the stump. After cutting the tree down, they said that another team would be by grind the stump. I paid them and no one showed up to grind the stump. But they immediately went to the bank to cash the check so I couldn't stop payment. At first, Brandy had an excuse for each time they didn't show up after she said they would be there. Now they don't even answer the phone. Please for your own peace of mind DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!! Within minutes of arriving at my home they had blocked the driveway of my neighbor and off loaded equipment in there yard. When the neighbor asked for it to be taken off there yard Dean, the owner, shouted at them and insulted them. While stump grinding the tree's they removed Dean severed 2 irrigation lines and to this date in spite of promising to repair them they are still cut. That was 6 weeks ago....all I have gotten from Dean is we'll get too it ! I paid $1100 for the tree work and ended up with an ok job and no irrigation. Finally called back. Came by. Had no real knowledge of trees. Since they came by and gave us a quote, we asked them to for a new quote for removing the trees. Surprise surprise we haven't heard from them. Not dependable. Not knowledgable. Go with RAW tree service. read more

We used Dean's Tree Service to remove a large tree in our backyard. They did a good job getting the tree down but damaged several fence panels. They still haven't gotten back to us regarding repairs. Also, the guy doing the stump grinding stopped because the mulch pile was too high to finish. We finally got the mulch cleared then, per his instructions, we called to arrange for the rest of the stump to be removed. After several calls and emails, no one has replied. read more

WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THEM. Can't reach Dean directly as all calls go to the answering service. Came 6 hours late (without calling) and finished in the dark. Noticed the next morning that they did a poor job of cleanup in one area and they also took my Roughneck waste pail (which I guess they thought was theirs even though it was nowhere near their work area). Called to complain and Brandi (Dean's wife) called back to tell me they would return the next day. Never showed up, never called and haven't returned any of my subsequent calls.
