I recently had three large oak trees thinned, the canopy lifted, and large dangerous limbs removed. The crew on my property was so efficient, industrious, self-starting and saw issues that had escaped us in our back yard because we were so focused on the oaks in front. Made it clear he would be here today in the afternoon but showed up in the morning when I was out of the house. He sent me a text saying "I'm at your house and you are not here." I tried replying but he blocked my number. Very unprofessional. He did not offer to reschedule or explain why he came in the morning and not the afternoon like we agreed on. I called him from my wife's phone and he answered but all he said was that he's booked for the next few weeks. Still not offering to reschedule or apologize for coming at a time that was not agreed upon. Don't waste your time. read more

After contacting several companies including one favored by our association to remove a dead palm tree planted in our patio we contacted Brown's tree service. I can tell you it was probably one of the best decisions we could make. We needed two queen palm trees removed from our front yard. I called several tree services and Brown's responded quickly with a quote. Once they knew that one of the trees was dying and potentially could topple over, they moved us up on the schedule. The guys arrived and it was hard to believe how quickly and efficiently they removed the two big palms. Everything was hauled away and by the time they left, there wasn't a bit of trash or frond left. Our experience with all their staff, including office staff, was fantastic. Had a 20+ foot tall rubber tree in my front yard. These guys came in and methodically removed branches to take it down. 4 guys worked together like a symphony. The stump removal equipment was incredible - operated by a remote control and just ripped it to shreds. All of the debris was placed in 2 piles. Used a huge grabber to put all of the debris in a truck and then used a blower to clean up further. All of this happened in less than an hour and a half. I'm still stunned that the tree limbs and all the mess is gone. Wowza! read more

Did a good job of cutting down tree and removing stump. Unfortunately I found the owner somewhat argumentative. He failed to bring the necessary lift I recommended so was unable to reach the really high branches Which I covered in my initial request. He also made some offensive comments Within earshot which I thought were unprofessional and not funny. No, I would not recommend them Based on my experience, his comments and demeanor. read more

I was so impressed by the efficiency of the Brown's Tree Service crew! I needed 2 huge white bird of paradise removed w/stump removal and also removing a large pothos vine which was taking over a live oak tree by our pool cage. The huge crew did a "divide and conquer" and conquer they did! Kudos to the management/supervisory team! They made short work of it all w/no down time and did an excellent job. While on the one stump griding, they did nick one irrigation line, I didn't see how that could be avoided given the growth of the bird of paradise respective to the underground line. I was actually surprised at how little damage was done given what I was asking them to do. Since they did such a great job of removal, the Christmas palm I had planted by the nursery was a breeze and they complemented the work of Brown's Tree Service, too. BONUS: the price was exactly as quoted, despite the huge crew they sent. Can't say enough good things about them. read more

Brown's Tree Service has a very foul-mouthed supervisor. Browns Tree Service parked in our friend's yard without permission to service their neighbor's tree. I called my friend who, was not home, and she asked us to take a picture of the side of the truck so that she could call them. When my husband did so the supervisor came over and said "you don't have to do that, mother f****er, I'll give you a f***ing business card. ". My husband said "that's a great way to greet someone, my neighbor is just resodded their yard". Browns supervisor said "do you think I give a f*#% about that pissy lawn. I have a $250,000 truck". Wow. That pretty much says it all. These people should not even be in business. They don't care what they damage and to treat a 71 year old man the way they did when he was just taking a picture is a sure sign of how they would treat a potential customer that had issues with them. read more

Good at trimming palms/trees; with tree/plant removal, all bets are off & it's buyer beware. On our job they cut through an electrical wire & cracked an irrigation pipe. They refused to make ANY compensation or resolution as they have a warning on their estimates that states "Browns is not responsible for the following; damaged screens, landscape lighting, underground utilities (to include irrigation, cables, pipes, wires, etc.)". However, their website also states they have the "...skill, tools and experience to safely and effectively remove any tree stump..."), so I didn't expect this level of carelessness. I've had other companies remove plants from the same location without this sort of damage. Worst of all, the damage was in plain view on the day they did the work, but they didn't tell me about it and I had to find it on my own. I would advise against using them for anything except trimming. I gave them two stars instead of one because of their trimming capability. read more

Post-hurricane Irma, we had an enormous pine tree that died a few months after. We had other smaller trees that were no longer as upright as they had been. We waited until about March to try to get some help--Josh from Brown's came by and we walked around the property asking about the pine, but also a Jacaranda we put in ill-advisedly about 15 years ago and a few other trees that we weren't sure about. He gave us excellent advice about caring for some of them, suggesting propping a smaller Cherry Laurel up a bit, and of course taking out that pine and a dead cedar. When they showed up they were completely prepared with all the right equipment, super efficient taking that tree down safely, taking out a few other things, and charging us very fairly. It's a family business with long local roots and thoughtful about caring for trees and removing those that need it. Turned out our pine had borers and was already dying--but the other pines nearby are doing well now that it's gone. They ground the stumps and left things really looking good. Cannot recommend highly enough. read more

Their employees are very knowledgeable and skillful, while the owner is very friendly and reasonable with their prices for the service you are getting. The job is completed efficiently and when they have completed their job, they leave the area looking more manicured and groomed than it did when they arrived. I was impressed with the way they cleaned everything up, even debris that wasn't a result of their work. The employees were friendly and willing to go above and beyond as needed. read more
