Food was excellent this evening. Boneless spare ribs, pork lo mein, wonton soup were all well cooked, flavorful and nice portions. Food was ready in 15 minutes and was hot, even after a 10 minute ride home. Chinese restaurants are more a disappointment than good so have to give credit to this establishment. It's been a while since we ate from Dean House. Tonight, we ordered takeout. Sweet and sour chicken (with fried rice), crab rangoon, and veggie lo mein. Picking up our order, the folks working there are always so pleasant. The chicken was so so, seemed to have a lot of breading which made it super greasy, but the chicken itself tasted ok. The fried rice was very orange(?) but the kids liked it. The crab rangoon is made into triangles, they're pretty big, and they tasted great (probably my favorite spot for this appetizer). Vegetable lo mein was also good, except there was one huge (4") chunk of broccoli, and a lot of stringy lettuce that I ended up picking out. They are generous with the sauce for this dish. Overall, I've had better Chinese take-out but for the price (and they deliver!) it's worth it. read more

Fairly typical Americanized Chinese food...large portions but not that great in the taste department. The Wonton soup had a relatively flavorless broth and the meat in the wonton was sketchy. I had a General Tso's Chicken and although the sauce was okay the meat was not fried to my liking. We did also share an order of teriyaki chicken skewers that were good, but that was not enough to save the rest of the meal. "One and done" on this place. read more

I used to love this place. The quality of food preparation has gone down hill and it's a shame. The lo mein is flavorless. The chicken and egg rolls are hard and undesirable to eat. The last few times I ordered them they looked and tasted like they had sat around for awhile. Not fresh. read more

Quick and good Chinese take out place. Appetizers are well done. We especially enjoy the fried pot stickers and crab rangoon, though they have a generic name for the latter. Lo mein is very credible, but not top notch (Hunan on Coventry is tops for our taste of lo mein). Singapore noodles, hot with curry, is also good. Sadly, the hot and sour soup is not a favorite. read more

I order from them all the time and the food is always great except for this last time. I bought 3 pints of wonton soup. The first one was delicious as always, but the other two were like eating a salt lick. All I can think of is that they were the bottom of the pot were all the salt gathered. I took 2 sips and couldn't finish either one. I guess in the future I will have to make a note to ask for a fresh batch of soup when ordering. The rest of our meals were great. I get takeout from Dean House a few times each year. The food we order is always good: tasty + fresh. We usually order beef with broccoli and Singapore noodles. Both dishes are always satisfying. Prices are reasonable. Service is OK. There are maybe 2 or 3 tiny tables if you want to dine in, but the atmosphere isn't all that. read more

If you are looking for Pad Thai go someplace else. What they gave me smelled bad, and was WAY over seasoned with salt. It was inedible. For a carry-out Chinese place this falls horribly short of already low expectations. The only saving grace of the food was the fried dumplings. Sad. Just embarrassingly sad. read more

Pretty standard fare. It's cooked in front of you, so it should taste better. The menu had a lot of variety. The basics like the roasted pork fried rice is ok, egg. rolls are bland, and sweet & sour pork is mostly breading. This is only take out place. BUGS IN THE FOOD!!!! I would've given them 4 out of 5 stars because their customer service isn't that friendly, but their food is very good. Although their customer service is not why I've given them a 1. I found TWO BUGS in two different items I ordered!!!! There was a small fruit fly looking insect stuck in the lid of my wonton soup and the worst was what looked like a MAGGOT fried and sitting on top of my fried dumpling!!! I have been ordering from here for about a year now, best carryout Chinese in the area. Always quick , fresh and amazing good!

The food is nothing special. It is your standard Asian-American fare done fairly well and fairly priced. The online ordering is a nice feature and works well. I highly suggest avoiding delivery from this establishment. Store shows no urgency in delivering food in a timely manner. Delivery times for me have ranged from 90 to 120 minutes. My last two delivery attempts have been frustrated by delivery driver not reading delivery instructions (call cell phone because doorbell is broken) and the staff at the store not possessing the language skills to adequately resolve delivery issue. I will not be ordering from them again due to poor customer service and only mediocre food. read more

This place must have changed owners. It used to be my favorite Chinese place to order from! Now, it is 100% garbage. We ordered food for four and they only got one order correct. The egg drop soup smelled like the eggs had gone bad, the chicken tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in years, and the rice was rock hard! This is all not to mention that half our order was missing! Please do not eat here!! I would hate for anyone to waste their money and risk food poisoning. Food was good but service was horrible. Walked in, only customer. Woman possibly mother was talking in foreign language on phone. 4 young Asian children sitting in booths doing homework. Man in back cooking. No adult spoke to me. Man in back possibly father began yelling at children repeated, and loudly. After several minutes one off the children possibly 8-10!years old came to counter asked my order, took my money, made chAnge and returned to his homework. I have tried out every Chinese restaurant in Strongsville and Deans house is my number one choice. The only reason why they have poor reviews on Yelp is due to people complaining about how long try had to wait for there order. I have always ordered pick up. This place is really good. Me and my family like to go here whenever it's late and we're in the mood for asian food. Even when it's pretty late at night this place is still welcome to take your order with a smile on their faces. I totally recommend this place and for others to come here as well. Food Was cold and just ok. Ordered 2liters when food arrived I got cans of soda. I called and the lady only said sorry we out. I explained I wanted 2liters since there was multiple people eating. When we called after an hour to ask when we should be expecting our food the lady was very rude and kept put me on hold multiple times. Disgusting! Felt like I was on Fear Factor, except I paid to eat there. Everything was funky.....taste, smell, texture. Wished I read Yelp before ordering. Even the white rice was really odd. Can't put my finger on it, but it was like extra dense and just strange. Have never had a Chinese place mess up white rice. Shrimp toast was oddly large, burnt, smelly and can't imagine what decade the shrimp was from. Teriyaki sticks could have been squirrel. So gross, threw out most of it. Deans house is where my family goes for Chinese food whenever we eat out. We usually get the dinner for three, and get rice, noodles, 3 kinds of meat, and some wonton soup. Everything is standard Chinese fare, not great but it's good. Not sure why there's so many negative reviews. read more

I love it here and I'm picky about my Chinese food. Always delivery, never picked up. My favorite is the Mongolian beef, extra spicy, (so spicy, so good) extra meat with a wonton soup. My husband gets the same with the hot and sour soup. Yummmm!!!!! I've now become a regular ordering delivery just about every week. read more

I would rate higher because the food is very good. I'm never disappointed in the cuisine and sadly I'm a creature of habit so my sampling is rather light. No my low rating comes from two factors. If you have it delivered, be prepared to wait at least an hour for your meal. The drivers are rather friendly, just not very punctual. So order early. If you pick up, be prepared to be served by an eight year old boy working behind the counter whom speaks less english than anyone else in the kitchen. I'm sure this is some kind of health code or even labor law violation but somehow they get away with it. read more

I usually judge Chinese food by their egg rolls and theirs are awful. 2 stars because their sweet and sour sauce is good. I have had very good food from this location. I have tried several Vegetarian Dishes and all have had great flavor and were cooked just right. They are usually so busy the wait is the only thing that I found negative for them and really it just means a lot of people are ordering their food. So maybe not a real negative overall. I did not have any issues over my last several orders but I do pick up and it appears the issues are with delivery. Hope this review helps someone try them out. read more

Not terrible. OK, the steamed dumplings were terrible. The meat had a really bad aftertaste that will likely leave me sick in the morning. The Chicken Fried Rice was mostly yellow rice with a few tiny bits of Chicken. However, I was surprised that the Hot and Sour soup was actually not bad....not good....but not bad. Also, the fried chicken wings were overlooked and dry, but the flavor was pretty good. Staying at the Holiday Inn, this is literally the ONLY delivery available other than Pizza. read more
