When I come back to England I really enjoy visiting the local pubs. You just can't get good beer…read morein America, at least not in Utah where I live. I often make the joke that I like going to stay with my Mum in England because there are 16 pubs within staggering distance. Actually there are 11; I counted, depending of course on how far you can stagger. This pub has a great friendly, cozy atmosphere, very woody, lots of beams; it's really easy to get chatting with people. Such a contrast to American bars, most are either dives or noisy sports bars with nothing in between. They even have an 'old gits' corner. They look after their real ales and have HSB! This pub is a hidden gem, right in the town center!
