Well, Well, Well…read more... It appears that my 23&Me ancestry composition has been recently updated and as of today, you are now looking at a 7.1%, Pure, Italian Stallion. Yeah, I too always thought I looked like a young Joe Pesci... Ha! Hey, Fugheddaboudit!!!! Hey, hate me for my ways, but blood is blood and I'm going to run with this Italian thing for as long as I can. And just as my "old Italian Nonna" might have said, had I actually had one... "O mangi la minestra o salti la finestra" But being that I am less than 10% actual Italian blooded, and me not actually having a Nonna who would probably just yell crazy things at me in Italian, I'll just stick to the little Italian that I actually know..... The Food!!!! Yeah give me.... A little meatballs slathered in marinara covered in melted provolone... Or Some thinly sliced prosciutto, mortadella, capicola on some crusty Italian bread... Or even... And you'd be 100%, not 7.1% correct, that I would enthusiastically rep my Italian heritage and proudly wave the colors of my National flag... The Red, The White & The Bl.... Silver Spoons made everything happen, put the numerous gorgeous bouquets that people brought away in the perfect vases, which Scott or his team somehow found on their own without bothering me. They made everything look delicious despite the unbelievable heat, and then, on top of everything else - everything WAS delicious and delightful. The food was fantastic. And Scott Tessler and his team all talked to our guests in such a nice way. It was fun to have them there. We have used Silver Spoons intermittently over the years - for our daughter's wedding in Malibu in 2015, and now again, to introduce her baby to our friends and family. I'm beginning to think we should do this more often - the results from Scott and Silver Spoons are outstanding. After our event was over, exhausted, we came back to our kitchen, and discovered scads of perfectly wrapped leftovers - Steve and I simultaneously went hunting for that incredible mustard - oh, no, did they leave us some? Yes! You left us a significant amount, nicely wrapped up. And you cleaned up the kitchen beautifully! Even mopped! Everything was left in perfect order. I've been enjoying all the leftovers now for a few days. We have already given Silver Spoons' contact information to one guest at the party, who was very impressed with its work. Many of our guests were already familiar with Silver Spoons from their experiences at University Synagogue (now part of Wilshire Boulevard Temple). The food, the presentation, interaction with guests, following of dietary/allergy restrictions - all perfect. We had magnificent vegetables for the vegans, gluten-free dishes of all kinds that were superb, regular dishes that were wonderful - the food was great. And the service is exceptional. Our baby grandson had a grand debut in the Millers' back yard, and Silver Spoons Catering was a big part of that. Silver Spoons did a wonderful job, and we thank them for it.

The intersection of affordable, great customer service, and flexibility seemed inexistent. But Henri's Catering made it all possible. Laura Prieto, the Catering Coordinator, was responsive and patient with me from day one. She was transparent and answered every question I had in detail. She also made sure to remind me about the various services included in their package. She worked closely with me in perfecting our menu and reception layout. We had specific plans because we wanted our wedding to be uniquely ours - both in culture and in theme. Laura had no problems with accommodating our requests. Even though they catered at our venue several times, Laura and Rebecca (Creative Coordinator) still insisted in doing the walkthrough to make sure that they understand our plans perfectly. Our wedding went so smoothly and beautifully. We had outside food and other personal decor items we wanted to include in their setup and they incorporated it without issues. They understood our theme and brought decor that matched with it. They even used our wedding font so that everything was seamless. Rebecca's flower arrangements were also so gorgeous and perfectly matched the rest of our florals even though she didn't have our floral recipe. Our guests were in so much awe of the food - from the tray-passed hors d' ouvres to the charcuterie board to the pasta bar. Our vegan guests also felt special and accommodated thanks to the vegan cheese plate Henri's arranged for us. We have friends who have never understood charcuterie boards and now they are converted and still dream about it. We also heard from everyone that the catering staff were so sweet and had positive personalities. It really uplifted everyone's mood to be served great food by great people. Henri's staff were also so attentive and made sure that our wedding party were fed and had drinks pre-ceremony. They prepared dinner for me and husband to take home. They also helped us clean up at the end of the event and pack any leftovers that were still safe to eat.
