He seated us right away in the restaurant, as I mentioned how hungry I was. I wanted a true Bavarian experience & this did not disappoint! A true farm to table as you read in the menu about where their meat comes from (down the road) and how it was raised (open air free range). We started with a seasonal salad, so light & refreshing then we ordered the #10 sirloin steak with fried onions and potatoes in the most mouth watering brown gravy! We splurged & tried a local flare of "schnapps" called Williams (a hint of pear) and quickly learned why the Germans can be sometimes considered a harsh people! Deciding to stick with wine, I ordered the Montepulciano from Italy and quickly realized that wine drinking in the Styes will never be the same again. Absolutely amazing and completely different from anything I've tasted before! After deciding on the apple dumpling dessert, my husband and pray the rest of the food on our trip is this great! Great food, good service and nice location. Up and down Isabellastr, you will find some great places to eat and drink including some of my favourites in Munich. I have walked by this place numerous times and always wanted to try it. We finally decided to give it a go with some friends. The menu is extensive and there is plenty of choices for vegetarians. The prices are a bit more on the expensive side however, lower than the most popular Vietnamese restaurant in the area. They have many classical dishes on the menu. I decided to have the roll your own with beef and prawn (124). The quality of the meat was superb and the herbs used were fresh. I loved my food and the flavours were excellent. The others also enjoyed their meals. Ask for their scharf chili sauce when there, it's divine :-) The dessert of black sesame and green tea eis was also great. Staff are friendly and attentive here and the food was quick to arrive. It was fairly busy but it did not feel cramped. There is plenty of seating outside and in and it's fairly quiet around this area. Nice white tablecloth and cutlery and well dressed waiters. I am really glad I finally tried this place. Really super and ample portions unlike the US where Vietnamese & Thai dishes tend to be on the stingy side of eat out. Service is both prompt and good. Waiters are from Hanoi and spoke very good english for english speaking customers. I am sorry to leave the neighborhood as this is a real good find.
