This is the first time buying a new car was actually enjoyable from start to finish. Daniel is the best salesman I've ever worked with. Doesn't push, unassuming, knowledgeable about everything on each of the cars regardless of model, just delightful to work with. Sales manager gave us a fair trade in value without having to bargain. Financing was easy, again no hard sales or pushing for the extra warranty. We went here because of the excellent service department for the Niro we just traded. The service dept will not sell you maintenance you don't need and in fact will dissuade you from it when you ask for extra things. I love when someone is protecting my pocketbook. We had our Mazda CX5 serviced today (oil change). The service manager was very professional and knowledgeable as always. He answers any questions you may have and makes sure you thoroughly understand. He goes above and beyond with his customer service skills. I enjoy my Kia Sportage but will not purchase from here again due to this dealership will not schedule service appointments. You have to walk in and wait. Disgusting, dishonest dealership! We received a letter (we currently own a kia financed vehicle) offer 0% interest, bonus, 90 days no payments etc. from Justin Sales, General Manager on Kia Letterhead. The letter was deliberately written in a nebulous fashion, but had attached 'checks' offering 0% interest loan, 90 days no payments, etc. So we made an appointment to see a Rodney Paul, when we went into the dealership they said he was off today, so we saw someone else who told us there were no 0% interest vehicle, then he named a few upscale cars with rates 1.9% and above. So they lied about the appointment, lied about the interest rate, and probably lied about the rest of the offer too. One thing for sure, our current Kia is the last we will ever own and as for this dealership (Dean McCray Kia in Mobile Al.) we obvious don't want anything to do with them. read more

Our Volkswagen needed a simple oil change, so we made an appointment here... it took almost 4 HOURS! To make things worse, it was a very slow day at the dealership (raining, few other appointments). When we finally got into our car to leave, our check engine light was on!! So they had to take the car back in to examine it and reset a sensor... they even forgot to replace the next service sticker on the windshield corner ‍ Despite the embarrassingly slow mechanical service, there were a few ladies on the Volvo side of the dealership who were incredibly kind to my 1.5 year old son and entertained him with a stuffed bear. Thus, these three starts are only due to those nice ladies - not for the maintenance itself. read more

I would STAY AWAY from this poorly run business. I had my Porsche in for service and had to call 7 times before they confirmed my car arrived by a tow truck. Once they had the car it was another 4 days and 15 calls to confirm they could actually start working on the car. Total time was 3 weeks on my car to be repaired. I tried to pick it up and take it to another shop but was told it was not drivable due to missing headlights and the brake lights. In the end I had over 30 calls to the shop. 3 Weeks of no car or even an offer for a loaner. We are talking about 100K cars here and zero service. Tried to get the service manager involved and he never called back. The ownership at this group of dealers is HORRIBLE. Went to trade the car... Had what I thought was a deal on the table and "they were running numbers". Waited 3 days with no offer back. Called the sales person and never would return the calls. Then on to the Sales Manager, Zero calls back. I was ready to spend close to 100K again and no one there wants to sell a car. 4 Weeks pass by and they still have the car I wanted. Call again to speak to the sales manager/salemen. ZERO care given. Stay AWAY from these guys. For being a high end dealer they should be selling Yugos or working at McDonalds. read more

Aaron (our car salesman) was absolutely wonderful and Mitchell (the salesman 'closer') the highly helpful also. My mom's car was totaled and she needed a new one. We visited multiple dealerships in the past two days before final deciding upon a volkswagon. The finance manager worked with us and got the price of the car under the number that we wanted before there was any discussion of financing. Have three Jettas in the family. Mine blew up at 90k with meticulous care and service. My mother's blew up at around 92k and my sisters blew up at 89k. VW offered no help and no resolution. It is a known problem with 2014-2016 jettas. Nevertheless, they still failed to help in any way. Cost me $3,800.00 to get a used motor with 70k on it put in. I am a veteran and use this vehicle for work. VW has done me wrong and I urge any veterans not to have dealings with these wolves in sheep's clothing. I will never buy any junk from them again. I was at the desk of the service center and literally talked a customer out of shopping with them in front of a crooked salesman. This dealership has ten VW Jettas listed on Cars.com for $8,880. When I called the dealership they said it was a mistake and they would have it corrected. It never got corrected. False advertising. To be fair, a sales rep called me back and apologized. When I explained where I was from (over 1,000 miles away) she began with normal sales pitch as if I would come to their dealership for a regularly priced vehicle. Doesn't make much sense. I have bought two cars from Dean McCrary (One Volkswagen, one Mazda) Initially things were alright. The VW purchase was smooth, things were good. Turns out I needed a new headliner in my car. Service took two weeks to return my call about setting up an appointment. As this was covered under warranty, I had a rental car for the day it took to replace the headliner. Well, it turns out the replacement took all week. To be fair, they were apologetic for the delays, but this was not acceptable. Upon buying a Mazda for my wife some time after that, we wished to finance the purchase as she was new to this country and didn't have any credit. Keep in mind, we had cash on hand for the car. Despite this, we were assured that everything was alright and we would be approved. We were given possession of the car and told that financing would be done next week. Two weeks later, having heard nothing from them, I finally managed to get contact with the finance department. They said it would be longer. As we bounced around with lenders, we were assured everything was fine, only to have lenders contact us directly for missing information which was obviously not provided by the dealer. Finally, a month after "purchasing" this car (which is a great car, btw), we received. the paperwork necessary for the state to issue a tag. Today, I went to the tag office (some 10 days after the past due date - now I have to pay a penalty with the tag fee) only to find out that the dealer has screwed up the paperwork and failed to provide accurate information. That means another trip to the dealer to have this resolved, then back to the tag office to get a tag. They have repeatedly dropped the ball throughout this purchase. So much so that I'll never buy anything from them again. read more

Love my KIA Sorento but the service department is the reason I WILL NOT purchase another KIA. I've taken my car in two weeks apart and have had the "free" multi-point inspection and those two weeks the same parts or services were marked good and then needs to be replaced ASAP. Either they really aren't checking and just marking good or either they mark everything bad so you will have to pay an arm and a leg to get it replaced. Was out of town. Our A6 had engine light come on. Called Audi, they connected me too this dealership. Schedule appt with them for next day while explaining we were from out of town. Drove 1.5 hrs to get there 15 minutes early for appt and they said they absolutely could not get the car in that day and ask that I leave it. They also did not offer a loaner as I had not purchased the A6 from them. Ask what the point was in scheduling an appt. They just said they were busy. I Left....worst dealership ever. We had a great experience with this dealership while on vacation in Mississippi. Unfortunately put gas in our diesel Jetta, green pump handles at BP made us think we were at a diesel pup---arrrrrgh!. Towed into McCrary's on a Sunday (not open but we left car and keys and headed out to rent a car at airport). Called then early Monday morning and were on our way Monday at noon. Added plus......did not make us feel stupid about the fuel mix-up. Price was a lot lower than we expected as well. We purchased an Audi A6 based on the dealership experience and the features on the car. Our follow up has been truly exceptional. I rarely write reviews, but in this case it is highly deserved. We live about 50 miles from the dealer, and there was a minor problem with the air conditioner. The dealer sent a driver with a "loaner" within an hour. Our car was repaired within several days, and a drive brought it back to use, completely washed and interior detailed promptly. We have also been impressed with Dean McCrary's follow up as to both purchase and service experience. We highly recommend this car dealer. read more
