I went to him because of his credentials. He absolutely refused to prescribe a pain killer following the extraction that he performed and ignored my persistent calls and pleas for pain relief. Little did I know just how irresponsible and unprofessional Dr. Gould could be. I have advanced degrees in medical science so I understand the difference between compassionate and uncaring. He is definitely NOT in the caring category. This is a warning to others who are seeking the same type of consultation.

I think it is telling that the staff that works for him has been with him for years and years. They are also very knowledgeable. I've been going to see him since I was a teenager - and now my own family goes to see him. They have given me discounts when I didn't have insurance coverage, they have made it clear what needed to be done, and what could be done (to give me a choice as to how much I have to pay). My six year-old felt very comfortable with the staff and Dr. Epp too. I would recommend him to anyone - especially those with bad experiences before. His manor and tone will help you relax.

One of them was with Dr. Carlo. I found his office by searching in Apple Maps. I typed in "dentist" and I looked within a few mile radius of my home. Dr. Carlo happens to be less than a mile from my home. Perfect!! His office was able to get me in for an appointment within a few days which was nice because some places I called were scheduling months out. Yikes. I can't wait that long. I was directed to their website and instructed to download, print, and fill out the forms needed for my first appointment (dental/general health history, patient financial responsibility agreements, etc). Done. The day before the appointment I received a call from the receptionist reminding me of the appointment and to make sure I'd been able to print the forms from the website. I appreciated the thoroughness of that. The day of my visit I arrived an hour early due to a misunderstanding on my part. Rather than go home and come back, I decided to wait there. No big deal. The waiting room was clean and welcoming. I liked the way it was decorated and the procedure for check-in was pleasant. Dr. Carlo saw me right away (once it was actually time for my appointment, lol) and he was very knowledgeable. He was kind and seemed nice, and I did leave feeling confident in his abilities. Also, price-wise he was actually on the lower end of all the estimates I received. That's a plus!! However, I do feel you should be aware that he is a very fast talker. I'm originally from the Los Angeles area so I talk pretty fast. But this guy puts me to shame LOL. In a way it made me feel like I was being rushed and I think that, in part at least, ultimately contributed to me not selecting him for the needed procedure. Personally he wasn't a good fit for me but I would and will still recommend him to others.

All I got was suggestion to get antibiotics and pain killers. I had been using pain killers for same tooth more than 2 weeks. Because treatment was already paid and if they need to fix a failure in their treatment wouldn't get extra pay. I feel like I wasted my time and insurance plan. This dentist is more interested in dental plans rather than customer dental problems. Hopefully my root cannal works out good because I don't want waste my time with this dentist again. I hope some people are really reading and paying attention to these reviews. My suggestion would be not to waste your money nor your time with this dentist. I sadly need to mentioned that I felt discrimination in this dental office.
