It's time to get my teeth cleaned and with PPO dental insurance I'm getting whitening trays. It's…read moregorgeous in here! Not the typical boring dental office vibe. I normally go to Performance Dental but it's the whitening trays for me that brought me here today. I walk in and the beautiful reception (who I found out was the manager Tonya) says Goodmorning how can I make you smile today? which is really an adorable touch. She was very friendly and personable, explained the checking in process very well and was very professional. Hence dope manager... She even checked on me when walking by. I had a dental assistant Danielle she was very nice and very thorough. My appointment time was at 8:15 it took two hours with X-rays, Impressions taken for the whitening trays, Exam, Treatment plan and Cleaning. There are two people that work here that literally looked at me and didn't speak which is bad customer service in my opinion. Every person should speak to the patients including the trainer from Texas, but I digress. Without patients you wouldn't have a reason to train. The rooms have TV and they play the music of your choice via Pandora.. My choice was RNB started with Toni Braxton. The chairs massage you and heat up. These attributes were extremely nice. Normally you watch whatever station is on, if one is on. Definitely No music of your choice if at all and regular smegular chairs.. yes I made a word.. Besides the two people including the trainer that didn't speak I could tell my dental hygienist was nervous and no one explained what I was supposed to do with my whitening trays. Those three things were the worst of my experience. The manager did a fourth job and explained it to me. Other than that go visit Mint Dentistry they are a step above the rest..

So I have always looked for a dentist who specializes in scary cat patients (me). I need some…read morespecial work done on my gums and knew it was going to be painful. My last dentist I went to told me he needed to shave my gums down next appointment. That was the last time I went to him. I found this office by referral and I'm happy I did. I really liked the initial examination. They examined my teeth, mouth and gums with x-rays and by sight. After that a contingency payment plan was worked out as far as correcting the issues with my teeth/gums. I really liked that. I was able to schedule my next appointment and pay half for the procedure. I needed my gums scraped of bacteria and the stains on the bottom removed (from drinking tea). I was introduced to Jeanine Raper on my initial visit as the Registered Dental Hygienist. Jeanine was nice and pleasant and assured me that I wouldn't feel a thing. On the day of the appointment, I was nervous but Jeanine was reassuring and pleasant. She rubbed the topical anesthetic on my gums before using a needle to administer a stronger anesthetic. She put on some soothing music and sang to me through the entire procedure. When she was done, I was elated with the procedure. Not only did she remove the bacteria and plaque from my gums but, the stains on my teeth were gone. And I didn't feel a thing. I am looking forward to going back to let her do my left side. I am looking forward to having a better smile.

Dealing with the billing department was more painful than my root canal. I have mixed feelings…read moreabout this place. If you are paying out of pocket, it's probably fine. I took my son to see an endodontist here about 2 years ago, planned to pay out of pocket, and everything was fine. The doctor was polite and caring, as was her assistant. Ive been going for myself now since December. I was told at the end of December that I needed 4 root canals. 2 of my teeth were/are cracked. I was in a lot of pain because the nerve was exposed. I was told that it would take 6-8 weeks to find out how much my insurance would cover of the procedures and that I could wait to hear from my insurance or I could pay a deposit and have it taken care of now. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford the deposit, so I elected to tough it out until the end of February to make sure they received word from my insurance. I called the day before my procedure to find out what my portion would be, and was informed that they dont know what I will be responsible for and there was nobody in billing to help me. So I looked it up on my insurance and saw that they approved the procedure and my copay was $236. I went in the next day, had my procedure, and then was told I also needed to see the periodontist because I may need crown lengthening. I spent maybe 3 mins with the periodontist and then he stood there and awkwardly waiting for me to leave. When I checked out, I was told I needed to put down a $300 deposit for the procedure I had that day. When I explained that my insurance approved the procedure and said my copay should only be $236 she told me that they dont have any record of that and I should have printed it off, but otherwise she cant do anything for me. I also asked that nothing be done about the crown lengthening at this time because I knew it was not a covered benefit and I could not afford it. I also scheduled my next root canal treatment for my next payday, 1 month later. I was supposed to have my next root canal on 3/25/26, but before my appointment I went on my insurance portal to print out my prior authorization so I would only have to pay the remainder of $196 for my next treatment. I also noticed what looked like a claim for 2 crown lengthening procedures with a date of service of 3/24 billed for over $3000. I immediately called the office and was transfered to a biller. The billing person started going over my claims and telling me what I still owed for and what I didnt. I was looking at my EOB statements at the same time and telling her that they have or will be paid. She continuously got more and more defensive with me and raised her voice louder and louder, to the point that she is yelling at me, "Sir! IM TRYING TO HELP YOU!" All while telling me that I still owe them more money because "my insurance didnt pay them as much as they expected". I was pretty dumbfounded that I found myself having to explain to a billing professional that that's not how insurance works. Then came the questions about the crown lengthening claim. I explained what I was seeing on my end, even read it word for word to her. I was told "Sir, it doesn't say that". She continued to argue with me for at least 5 mins that what I was seeing on my portal was in fact, not actually there. Why would I call and say these claims were there if they weren't? I actually really need this dental work done. I had to cut her off arguing with me and ask her to transfer me back to the receptionist so I could cancel my appointment. I do not want to go to a practice that if I need to talk to a biller I have to be subjected to demeaning, condescending, rude person like that again. If she didnt know the answer, all she had to do was say "Im not sure why it shows up that way, all insurance is a little different and we did send to see if your insurance would cover the procedure. Your best bet would be to call and ask them about it." I have a root canal that they doctor started and didnt finish and it's already been paid for, so I do need to go back for that. But I won't be back otherwise.

The dental aide had a terrible cough with phlegm. She decided to switch doctors on me, so I tried…read moreto leave. The doctor with whom I was scheduled encouraged me to stay, but it was a mistake. The newly assigned doctor rushed through the perio exam, I know when it's a good exam because a good exam takes some time with comprehensive gum probes. Then they tricked me into an appointment that I cannot cancel without a $200 late cancellation charge. It's a hell-hole.
