I wish I can give a zero star rating. Don't buy from here! You're better off buying from Amazon.com. they scammed my 82 year old grandmother for almost $500! For a cheap dresser that will only last maybe a year with cheap plastic parts. The draws make clicking noises when opening and closing. Not only that!!! But brought the dresser with a missing part. When I called to ask them to deliver the part they told me no my grandmother needs to come pick it up. Knowingly that we live about 5 miles away. We paid for shipping and proper assembly. They also over charged her! And when I said no you need to deliver this part because I paid for the dresser and shipping they said no and hung up on me. Please don't waste your hard earned money on this place! They are rude and they don't value thier customers. read more

In 2020, Dollar Deals on 116th Street in Harlem, NYC opened its doors. As a good citizen, and in recognition of the difficulties businesses are experiencing due to COVID, my family visited the store to support the new business. What we experienced was astonishing. The store's owners have a lack of respect for the community, its residents, and customers. We purchased a basting brush which disintegrated when we placed it under the tap water to clean it before the first use. We returned to the store to inform them that they were carrying a faulty product, and an employee who identified himself as the manager became irritated and began to berate us: "you put this in boiling water!" He shouted. No, we replied. We are concerned that someone may use this on food and the the bristles may be left in the food, which - if they are not careful - can then be consumed, and harm someone. The manager continued to shout: "just produce a receipt...just show me a receipt!" We didn't have a receipt, and he didn't care that a product which can harm others is one his shelves. Because of his temperament, we quickly exited the store, instead of going to the section to look for the manufacturer's information. A business that displays such an utter lack of respect and disregard for humanity cannot thrive in any U.S. territory. I urge you to boycott this business (and all such businesses) and to send this business and its management packing. You either respect this community and humanity or you will be sent packing: disrespect, poor service, and poor quality are not welcome in my community. I intend to reach out to the Better Business Bureau and my local officials. I urge officials to fully vet the character and record of businesses seeking to establish themselves in Harlem. We cannot afford to have any more disreputable business owners move in to Harlem. The community suffers when businesses owned by management like this move in. read more

Went to Dollar Deals on 116th between 5th and Lenox tonight for the first time. The items are mediocre at best. They are price gouging the Lysol at $13.99 for one can, and the disinfectant wipes also at $13.99 per item. Not worth it, I walked out. They only do this in the inner city neighborhoods because they can get away with it. SMDH! They need to be reported. read more

Deals blew my mind yesterday. I went for the first time and it was CRAZY. Ok yes, the store looks like a sh*t hole. There were boxes all over, some sparse shelves and general mayhem but seriously...this is not like every other dollar store. It's not a bunch of crappy stuff you are getting generic. It's like going to the grocery store and just getting everything for dirt cheap!!!! So impressed. read more

DEALS IS AWESOME! No doubt about it! Its such a rich addition to the growing Harlem neighborhood and I love this. I grew up and still reside in Harlem so to have such good affordable stores around is a great thing. DEALS is like an upscale 99 cent store. No lie! Everything is cheap. Most items are a dollar. At Deals alot of the frozen foods you can get for $1 such as pot pies, fruit pies, selected ice cream, breakfast meals, beef patties, american or swiss cheese, tyson chicken thighs, and too many more to name! There's different items weekly so there's always something new to try and alot of the stuff mentioned are there weekly as well. Throughout the store you'll find $1 name brand chips, Reeses chocolate packs amongst various candies and chocolates, juices, Ramen soups, cereals, bbq sauces, steak sauce(taste JUST like A1) ketchup and more in the food area. There's items for your everyday needs such as shaving cream, soap, toothpaste, shampoo, medicine, etc. I actually like the makeup sold here. Its not crappy stuff you'd find at your local 99 cent store. Its good quality/brand names. Ladies, for a dollar you can even get yourself a PREGNANCY test. Haha. So save yourself the MONEY and time of going to CVS or any other pricier store. Lets not forget the household items! Spoons, knives, forks, BETTY CROCKER kitchen supplies, Party supplies galore, low priced coffee makers and home grills! Geez, thats great! I can't forget to mention the fact that Deals carries LOW priced greeting cards. I still love writing out cards so the fact that they have Hallmark quality replicas, but for the cheap prices I LOVE IT! There's also a very cheap section for children carrying QUALITY toys, games, and various things for them. Finally a dollar store in harlem so I don't have to pay ridiculous Rite Aid/CVS prices for items like tape, envelopes, snacks, paper ware, that should only be a dollar!!! Frozen food scares me to be honest but if you stick to dry foods and other stuff probably fine. Lines are annoying at busier times, but I guess that's the tradeoff of saving $'s. read more

This is an excellent store for organizational items, if you're a nut like me and like cupboards organized in plastic boxes and drawers with small plastic dividers stop by here for great $1 deals! It's also good for generic drugs similar to nyquil or tylenol and basics. Don't bother with the low quality cleaning products not worth it, just stay with the organizing items, the cheap ceramic plates and bowls and drug store stuff. - I would give it 5 stars only for the fact that the store is a bit of a mess and the lines always seem long read more

The Deals store located at 301 w 145 st is poorly run and the managers are rude and unprofessional towards customers. on 1/17/13 at 3:46 pm my family was attempting to get a shopping cart, the store manager stood chatting, blocking access to the carts and became visibly annoyed that a customer was attempting to shop. Some employees seem to think they get paid to socialize with their co-workers and ignore customers. She continued to try to intimidate us into leaving the store by giving my wife and toddler a death stare as if she would attack any minute. If this is what dollar tree considers management material then they should not be surprised that people will exercise the choice to spend their hard earned dollars elsewhere, as my family surely will in the future. native new yorker read more

yesterday was my 1st time shopping there ,i went in with an empty shopping cart and came out with it over flowing they have the best !!on everything you want from a threw z im goning back today its not like your tippicle dollar store where some of the food is old there food here is fresh and there toys for the kids are great for the price !!ive seen these very same toys priced much higher everywhere else i was pleased !!and would highley reccomend deals to anyone !! so,eone told me about this store ..if i knew what it was like i would have shopped there much sooner !! read more
