Nestled in the Buckroe area of Hampton--almost tucked between a church and a repair shop--is a true…read morehidden gem: Affordable Prints & Copies. If you blink, you might miss it... and that would be a tragic mistake. The owner, Tammy, is the real deal: not just someone "running a machine," but a professional printer who understands print the way it's supposed to be understood. As a graphic designer, I've worked with the big-name chains (Staples, Office Depot, etc.), and I can say with full confidence: I've completely abandoned them. Their output often looks like desktop printing pretending to be professional--washed color, inconsistent results, and that dreaded border when you're expecting true edge-to-edge. But Tami? She prints with excellence. If you're looking for rich, accurate color, clean detail, and full-bleed (edge-to-edge) printing without that "home printer" vibe, this is your place. The quality of her work is impeccable--the kind of result that makes you stare at your own design like, "Yep... THAT'S what I made." And somehow, her prices are still shockingly affordable, which honestly doesn't even compute with the level of quality she delivers. Truly--once you see what she produces, you realize it's not just printing... it's craftsmanship. On top of that: fast turnaround, a welcoming atmosphere, and a genuine heart for people. The experience of being in her shop adds value on its own--because you're not treated like a number in a corporate line. You're treated like your project matters. If there's such a thing as couture printing, this is it. A full-body "wow" experience--because there is nothing worse than professional design paired with amateur printing. That mismatch is a whole travesty. If you need printing for your church, your business, your event, your brand--anything--do yourself a favor and go to Affordable Prints & Copies. If you're coming from anywhere in the Seven Cities, it's worth the trip (and I'm sure if you're not, shipping can be arranged if needed). You won't be disappointed. You'll be impressed. And you'll probably never go back to the chains again.

The quality and appearance Colley Avenue Copies provided, both as to the paper itself and as to b&w and color reproduction, were outstanding. They also took care with the complicated collation and cheerfully fixed the odd pages I needed changed or replaced, all at a reasonable price, especially considering the striking step-up in quality over my home printer/copier. They did not press on me their own binding and connected me to an outside binder. They were attentive to numerous clients with short deadlines; I had no compelling deadline and my large order did take a while.

I called around to at least 12 places. Of those 12, 11 politely laughed and said they could never get 30,000 of our requested item printed in a day and half. Peter had a quick response time and confidently said he could complete our project by end of day Thursday AND have them delivered to the appropriate location. Sure enough, Peter pulled through. I had some very anxiety ridden executives reaching out for updates all day Thursday. Without skipping a beat, each time Peter quickly assured us that he was on track for a 5pm delivery. He called and emailed when he was on his way to drop our items off to the given site, and he called and emailed when they were dropped off and the job was complete. THANK YOU to Peter for going above and beyond for customer satisfaction. I am baffled at the lack of customer service skills across every portal on a daily basis, and he was such a breath of fresh air. Needless to say, he has been added to our list of preferred printing vendors and we will be using him in the near future.
