I'm particularly grateful for, and impressed by, Oliver's sincere compassion and care for the memory residents in the unit he directs. That's really what sold me on the place immediately, the first day I went, and he toured me through the memory care ward. I was scared to go because I had never been in a locked memory care unit before, and I imagined it would be some awful, dark, creepy, depressing, prison-like place full of anguish and suffering. It was anything but. Light, airy, clean, welcoming, with friendly staff being very attentive to everything that was happening. Every time I visited after my husband moved there, I had this same positive impression of the place. That very first day, I saw how Oliver interacted with some residents--one who was very frightened, and another who seemed very angry--and he just took the time to comfort them, listen to them, joke with them, and acknowledge them. He gave them so much dignity. It was very moving. Thank you Oliver, for doing this important work. Thank you Aegis for providing such a quiet and peaceful place for my husband to rest during his final days.

You should try Wesley House, they're the best in the county." I'll be forever grateful for that referral. The caring and professional staff at Wesley House cared for our mom through all her trials up until last year when she passed peacefully at age 100. I don't know what we as a family would have done without them. As we dealt with our own problems, we never once doubted that our mom was safe, fed and cared for. We knew she was. She was extremely vocal about it. While she would have preferred to stay at home, she knew we couldn't manage her care and she often said that if she had to be anywhere, she was happy in her pretty room at Wesley and grateful for the care she received. She grew quite fond of the staff, who were ceaselessly patient and loving despite our mom's sometimes challenging behavior. Owner, Janet Leon, is a seasoned professional who was able to make on the spot decisions or recommendations that saved my mom and our family untold grief and problems. She helped us navigate the difficult terrain through end of life and we will be forever grateful to her, as well as the Wesley House staff including our beloved Hilda, Horte, Rosa, et al, and Janet's family who all pitched in on the operation. I don't know how to give a better reference except maybe to say the grounds are pretty and the sun room provided my mom with endless hours of quiet warmth, which she craved. The meals are varied and home-cooked. The tone of the facility is upbeat with familiar routines and festive décor for holidays. The fact that it's an open facility inspired our confidence, we could show up anytime and our mom was always presentable and secure. As far as I'm concerned, these people are saints and I hope they're blessed in turn for their good works.

I will say that this is not the right place for active seniors, but if you are looking for a place that is caring, clean, thoughtful and helpful, it would be hard to improve on the care there.

My daughter and I researched numerous facilities in and around Morgan Hill, California, for many months. We were looking for the perfect Assisted Living residence for my 90 year old Mom. A large part of our decision to select Westmont of Morgan Hill was due to the confidence we felt in its Nurse Director, Ria Hernandez, to deliver the level of care and service we were looking for. Ria does an amazing job of keeping her Care Team functioning at peak performance in providing excellent care and genuine concern for my Mom and all the residents at Westmont. We are at the facility several days a week and are so delighted that Ria and her team are constantly checking in on Mom to make sure that she is comfortable and is receiving all the services she needs to feel safe and "at home." The facility is very clean and well maintained and we especially appreciate all of the creative, decorative touches the team provides at each and every holiday event. The residents there all seem happy and well cared for. It's like one big, happy family! We gladly refer friends and relatives to reach out to Ria if they are contemplating moving a loved one into Assisted Living or Memory Care. It's been such a relief to know that Mom has a loving, caring team to look after her every need in this chapter of her life. Linda & Jeannie (Mom's daughter & granddaughter)
