I'm honestly unsure how this nursery has a 4.5-star rating with so many good reviews, because our…read moreexperience was completely different. This was my first time visiting, and the place honestly looked like a disaster. It felt like an out-of-control jungle -- and not in a good way lol. Everything looked messy and poorly maintained. Grass and weeds were literally growing over and around the plants, and nothing seemed to be kept organized or presented nicely like you normally see at other nurseries. It didn't look like intentional, lush landscaping; it looked like everything had simply been left to grow out of control without anyone really taking care of the place. The parking area is also extremely small, and the whole property almost felt like we had walked into someone's backyard or house rather than an actual nursery. On top of that, there was basically no guidance or customer service. No one came over to ask if we needed help, explain where anything was, or help us choose the right plants. It pretty much felt like, "Just go to the back, look around, and pick whatever you want." I actually enjoy visiting nurseries and understand that they're naturally going to have dirt, plants, leaves, etc., but this was completely different. With a 4.5-star rating and SO many positive reviews, I genuinely don't get it. Maybe we happened to visit on a really bad day, but based on our experience, the reviews gave us a very different expectation of what this place would be like. Unfortunately, definitely not what we expected.

Located conveniently off Griffin Rd, it's hard to miss & has plenty of parking in the front. It seems like there's always a couple of employees walking around who are eager to help out. Their space is not massive by any means but it's set up to get the most out of it & they do it well. It's clearly sectioned off so you can easily find what you're looking for. Trees, native & exotic plants, fruit & vegetable plants, succulents, flowers; there's no shortage of variety here. They also do a good job at rotating their selection. I like that there's usually something new to me when I visit. For the most part, prices are great. If you're on a budget, you can walk away with an armful of succulents or small potted flowers for under $15. Also, There's always a sale of some sort. Like other places, they have things that are very expensive but at least the quality of these products seem good. Supporting local businesses is always a great thing to do so I try to stop by here monthly. If you're a fan of gardening or want to get started, this is a great place to check out. You'll even enjoy "window shopping" if you just want to see what this nursery is all about.

She arranged to have it delivered between 12 and 2 PM the same day. Right on time at 12 o'clock, the delivery driver arrived with a semi-truck and forklift. He was incredibly professional and skillfully placed all five pallets of sod in convenient spots around my backyard, making it so easy for us to access and install. From start to finish, Pop's Nursery was professional, friendly, and efficient. They even called ahead to confirm delivery time, which I really appreciated. You don't find many places that operate this smoothly anymore--and their prices are very reasonable, too. Highly recommend!!

The manager (could have been Pops himself) assisted me locating certain plants. The decorative boulders were the best deal for the small size at $120.00. My favorite plant is the white spine barrel at only $15.00 which is a fraction of the price offered online. To support the egg shortage, they were selling farm fresh eggs $8.00 a dozen which was a nice offering.

We priced shopped many places in Broward and considered ordering/installing from one of the nurseries in South Dade. 5 stars - hedge and tree selection was GREAT. Not only did we get some very nice sized healthy clusia plants, we've gotten some other nice starter trees, plants and bushes there over the past 3 years of our DYI endeavor. 4.5 stars - pricing for Broward was GREAT. Obviously cheaper prices may be in South Dade but we would have had to rent a truck or have the plants delivered/installed. Buying here was worth it for sure since we budgeted to purchase a few plants at a time and installed them ourselves. 5 - so far the customer service for me and my husband was GREAT every visit. They are a working landscaping company and we encountered many landscaping companies making purchases and they treated our relatively "small" purchases no differently. It's been a couple of years from our first round of clusia plants and they are thick lush and lovely, just like they told us they would be! Too bad they aren't sound barriers, too. o_O
