I have had a few crowns replaced in the last few years and never had the attention paid to me that Dr. Makkiyah, and her teammates, Jared and Lydia did. From x-rays to final cementing of new crowns, they were amazing, explaining everything to me very carefully and then executing with the utmost care and precision. They have amazing technology that assists them with the best possible delivery. They were able to remove two old crowns, measure for new ones and have those ready in just a couple of hours. I am so impressed. But again, this alone would not be that impressive if it weren't for the team's caring and concern for my comfort and well being. They made a not very fun procedure into something more than tolerable. Even when she administered the pain shots, they did something that made that less painful. I also wear Invisalign retainers so they made a point of keeping the shape of the crowns exactly as my old ones were, saving me the expense of obtaining new retainers. In my lifetime, I have probably been to at least 7 dentists in various cities and I wish I had met Dr. Makkiyah sooner!

This was back in September I would have to be on a payment plan for a total cost of about $4800. To start the procedure I would make payments starting at $845. When I call today I got this rude genius on the phone claiming he was the office manager. He said he has been there for two months, and there is no one else I can speak to and the buck stops with him. First off dude the buck does not stop at you. He pulled up my old quote and told me that I would need to pay half up front $2300. I ask him why is that that is not what it was back in Sept. First he says "it a new policy", then I said since when. He then said "since September 2025". "Oh, how could that be when they gave me the price I told you". Get this he then said "Oh, they weren't really enforcing the policies back then". I asked to speak to a supervisor he put me on hold for a couple of minutes, then he can back, and said "there is no one else to talk to that what it his, and he's the highest I can go. So, he is Mr. Dentist of Vallejo. I dont think so that would be the district manager, and the Dental Board of California rude dude. These ppl have unscrupulous business practices. If I tell you what I want, and what I can't afford they continue to still badger and persuade you about a higher price denture. Furthermore, I already had x-ray from another dentist that told me I didn't need extractions. This dentist in Sept told me my dentist was wrong. When I told her I was not getting them she got an attitude. Why would I get my teeth pulled if it wasn't necessary. Overall, this was a very bad experience for me. I have anxiety about the dentist. Dr Cervantes was always gentle and aware and helped me better my dental hygiene. Today, however, the cleaning started, and I don't think the tech had even read my chart. After the cleaning, which was painful and I did not get a flossing or the normal medicine, I met a new doctor. If I would have known what I was walking into for this apptmtn, I could have mentally prepared myself. However, to walk into this unprepared with anxiety, was horrible. I went to my car afterwards and cried. I will not be going back. Ithink Bianca is still there and she is excellent with anxiety, but I felt so embarrassed and somewhat taken advantage of that I will be getting a new dentist.

Jean at the front desk is very helpful explaining the dental options and insurance numbers. The dental assistants are charming, friendly and quick. I was trying to check them for wedding rings in hopes for my single son. I'm sad yet happy to report they all wear gloves. The best though to me was Dr. Castillo. A refreshingly honest man. He actually told me that I could put the dental work off for the time being. Oh Doctor. By the way. I believe a bit of a pad attached to the top and or bottom of your front door might help alleviate that horrible metal on metal slamming noise made every time the front door closes. So I'm going to stay with my current tooth in my head for now, the wife will save $1400 compared to our other quote and the 20 year marrage to my last dentist is over.

One was the very nice girl on the right at the front. The other was the amazing tech who did my X-rays. She spent so much time with me. She coached me and guided me through the whole X-ray process. I agreed to see the oral surgeon and made an appointment. I had concerns before the oral surgeon's appointment, plus my script was called into the wrong pharmacy, so I tried calling the office. Good luck with that. You will be constantly rerouted to a call center with employees who know nothing about dental. All they say is, I'll try to call the office, and then they you are told, "well, they aren't answering." That's all you get!! No answers, no nothing. I got hung up on several times when I asked, "so what do I do now?" One call center employee said, "maybee you should go into the office and talk to them." Seriously? Once in for my surgery, I waited 2 hours in the lobby. Mind you, I've expressed my fears and anxiety. It's real! I'm scared to death of the dentist. 2 hours!! So my anxiety is just building at this point. They call me back finally and put me in a chair and then left me alone for another 30 minutes. Finally, some guy comes in and I once again try to express my fears. He asks, "well how bad is it?" I say really bad, I'm a grown man but I'm almost in tears," he then just walks out. Nothing. 20minutes later a different guy walks in and starts prepping a tray, not acknowledging me at all until ask if he was gonna be in there with me. He says, ya, and I again expresses my fears. And again he walks out, nothing. The oral surgeon finally comes in, this is now 3 hours after my scheduled time, he doesn't say anything to me but grabs the needle and comes at me. I freaked. I closed my mouth and said NO. He leans against the counter and stated, " If you can't handle it you can go somewhere that will sedate you." What kind of bed side manner is that?? I really needed this work done as I was, and still am in so much pain. I let him work on me but it was not pleasant. He numbed me up but I knew it wasn't enough. As soon as he grabbed the tooth I yelped. It hurt right away and he said "hold still!" I kept trying to say, not numb, not numb! Then he pulled. None of this was okay, and now I'm still in pain. On top of this I agreed to bone graphs. I should have known better. That is a total scam! Today, 2 days later, one of my stitches fell out. That's not suppose to happen. I'm a Surgical Tech, stitches don't just fall out after 2 days, and btw, bone graphs take longer than 3 seconds. I knew I was getting scammed, but I was so anxious and in so much pain I let it happen. I'm pretty sure there is now more infection from his work than before. I'm bleeding with an open gap in my gums, extreme pain, and I can't get anyone to answer the phone at the office. Just choose another dentist office. Trust me! Please never go here!!!!!!!!

I usually book my appointments in advance to work around my work schedule and any events I have going on. I even add my appointments to my calendar before leaving the office to avoid miscommunication. During the most recent uninformed rescheduling, they were demanding me to come in THAT SAME DAY I answered the call to make up for the appointment despite already telling them I was out of town. Said he didn't know why I was in pain and to deal with it. Well one night my crown fell off and I searched online and found Dr. Yee! I called Dr. Yee's office and they got me the next day. One look at my tooth and Dr. Yee was able to identify the problem with my crown and fixed it in less than 20 minutes. The office staff is always so pleasant and the dental hygienists are so gentle yet thorough with their cleanings!
