This humongous warehouse-based restaurant sits in a re-developed wharf area next to a funky art-house cinema, and numerous bars and restaurants. It is also one of my favorite experiences in Amsterdam-Noord or anywhere. The food tastes like a friend who cooks well made it for you. You can choose a la carte or prix fixe. My sea bass on mashed potatoes with sautéed mushrooms was genuinely comforting. I ate every bite. So did my 2-year old granddaughter and her serving was almost as big as mine! Attentive service by knowledgeable, gracious and ultra attractive young people when most places are suffering for lack of staff this summer of 2022. Consider the 16 foot chandelier made of glass bottles. The vintage cars perched on a hydraulic lift. The pool table. The open kitchen. On a good day, they open the doors wide and the outside blows in on a gentle breeze.

Lucky for us our hotel had the I-Dock restaurant. Florence the food and beverage manager of the restaurant was amazing, he explained the menu at length and gave us amazing recommendations, he took great care of us every time we dined at the I-Dock. We started with the BEST cheese platter I've ever had in my life, so good I had to keep coming back for more. I knew after tasting such delicious delicacy that the rest of the meal was going to be amazing, and I wasn't wrong. We ordered the five course SURPRISE me me and each dish was very well thought out and amazingly executed. Fresh and delicious. Great value, fantastic location and super friendly staff. I highly recommend this place.
