I visited De Babbel for late night drinks and food. The regular food menu was no longer available unfortunately (it was around 10pm when we arrived) but therr were snacks available.
I had a seasonal beer that was quite decent and we ordered a platter of snacks. All snacks were fried things: bitter ballens, chicken nuggets, cheese sticks, fried sausage and spring rolls. Some of these were average while others weren't that good. Maybe it's because I wasn't k to fried food that night.
The space is so unique, feels like a cateria at front, a restaurant/bar in the middle and seems like some of the space in the back serves as a nightclub. Quite interesting for sure with lots of unique, art nouveau decor.
I'm sure I'll be back to try more real food. Ambiance is great sl I'm not too bothered by the first experience I had. read more
