I was here last week to shop around but REALLY needed to use the restroom first. I walked in and immediately asked the "loss prevention" employee (male with curly hair) if they had restrooms and he responsed "yes but they're for customers only" I stared at him confused because in my head I felt like I was obviously a customer since I went in knowing I was going to shop. I finally said "okay cool...where are the restrooms?". He said "well they're for customers only". I stared at him again super confused and said "ok..so I can use them?" He responds "yeah they're back there but it make take a while for someone to open them". I was pretty furious. I felt the interaction was super unnecessary along with his hostility. After I use the restroom, I proceeded to shop around and indeed walked out with about 4 bags of things after I paid. The loss prevention employee saw me leave with bags in my hands and didn't say anything like "have a nice day!" Or "thanks for shopping with us!". I'm sure he felt dumb for implying I wasn't a customer. What a joke! read more

In California, public stores that have employee restrooms must allow anyone lawfully on the premises to use them. This includes retail stores, restaurants, and thrift stores. Yes, dd's DISCOUNTS stores are required to provide restrooms to customers. dd's DISCOUNTS is a discount department store chain owned by Ross Stores. Customers can use the restrooms at Ross Stores, which also owns dd's DISCOUNTS. I'm a paying customer but I had a bad experience on 1/16/2025 due to the fact that my friend and I was not allowed to use the restroom. I was really upset because my friend has (IBS) syndrome it made our shopping experience unpleasant so there for we had to rush and get our items fast as possible so we could go back home and use the rest room. Not to mention that we almost got into a car accident on the way home thank god nothing happened. read more

I am honestly appalled with how the workers at this store acted. They not only humiliated, but also insulted my mom. I'll try to keep the story short but in summary, my mom received a $1 bill in change that was covered in chocolate or blood and was in very bad shape. My mom asked for another and they told her to wait which she did for 10 minutes. After that time she asked if she can get the bill and, with an attitude, they told her she had to be patient and wait more. Eventually, they gave her the new bill and when my mom asked why they took so long they gave her attitude and dismissed her telling her to go away and have a good day. My mom simply told the worker if you're going to have an attitude with people you shouldn't work here. From there, the manager started snapping her fingers at my mom kicking her out. When my mom asked why the security comes at my mom also snapping her fingers, yelling at her to get out. The cherry on top? The security guard proceeds to call my mom a PUTA!!!! Several times! Keep in mind my mom is an elder and never insulted any of them. My mom goes to my job to tell me and I close my store and go check them because I know you didn't just humiliate and insult my mom! Long story short when I got there I raised hell and spoke to another manager. I forced them to apologize to my mom. When they apologized they kept rolling their eyes and still had the audacity to have an attitude. I DEMAND there be consequences to these actions because treating someone like that is never ok! These are the names of the GHETTO, ill-mannered mutts. Liv - manager who was RUDE and snapped her fingers at my mom. The audacity to be fat, ugly, AND rude. Choose one, seriously. While charging Tesla, decided to drop by, use the restroom and buy some snacks since we had been driving straight from Primm but they said "no public restrooms". Pretty inhumane and bad customer service IMO. Needless to say we didn't end up buying anything. read more

My special needs baby, peed on herself, because customers aren't allowed to use the bathroom. My mom had to buy her panties and a pants to get home. If I was there I would let her pee on the floor so you assholes could clean it up. A big business like this do better. There is also another person on this review that had the same issue. I literally just left the store. I recently moved back to Victorville and was excited because all I had where I used to live with Ross. I was excited because DD's has much more of a selection and better prices. I arrived at about 9:50 p.m. I know they close at 10:30 p.m. L, there was no greeting it was just a security guard and the cashier telling me instantly that they "close at 10:30 and they're cashier machine automatically shuts down at 10:30".... basically I felt un welcomed and unwanted and like I needed to just leave. though they didn't close for 40 minutes. Within that time of shopping they literally announced they were closing every 5 minutes. It gave me the worst anxiety, and I don't even know if I'm going to come back here because the customer service was so appalling , I was shocked. Keep in mind I've worked in customer service and so I was 17 years old and I'm 35 years old. I've been a GM of 3 tanning salons in Los Angeles , for 7 years, I've owned my own spray tanning company and I'm part owner of my husband's handyman business. So I pride myself on customer service, because if you can give somebody a customer service experience that they don't receive anywhere else they will continue to come back! learned that first-hand. I'm not sure who was working tonight I'm sure I can look at the bottom of my receipt. All I know is it February 5th and it was a night shift and it was a man, and a short young lady. Once I got to check out as I felt I was about to have a panic attack with all of the reoccurring announcements every 5 minutes that they were closing I got up to the front and there was no questions about how did you find things? How's your night? It would just give me your stuff and pay and get out. As I was getting ready to get out because nobody helped with anything and I was struggling to put my wallet back in my purse, get my keys, get the receipt, put everything in the cart because I bought a huge bed set , then I find out I can't take the cart outside. Well that's fine but I was still struggling to close my purse make sure that I had my pepper spray ready because you never know and all the while I just had eyes pierced on me and they already left! yet they still have 4 more minutes, but they told me that their machines would automatically shut me out and this was 40 minutes prior to closing. I am so upset with what I experienced tonight at the store that I will be calling corporate first thing Monday morning this is absolutely unacceptable and I would hope that corporate would be as upset as I am. I've never experienced this at Ross, Marshalls, or TJ Maxx. I know people have lived in places to do I've been there done that as my tanning salon closed and we had to take that last can of one minute before closing and if they decided to do a bed and an airbrush I had to wait 30 extra minutes. They were even closing the bars on the windows at 10:15. They've already closed now which is earlier cuz I'm still in the parking lot basically ran to their cars and got the heck out of here. It wasn't like I was here and I was wasting their time I don't know if their machines automatically shut off I kind of believe that that's what they tell people but I would hope it's somebody reaches out to me but you are way I'm definitely calling corporate because I have never in my life seen something and been treated so crappy in my life and to top it off just not getting greedy it alone and then having the girls at front stare me up and down like I'm some kind of criminal, or maybe it's because I was wearing a crop top I didn't know that was illegal. No wonder this store has such bad reviews because the employees here are going to run your business to the ground I never sit in the parking lot and write a review but I was so disgusted nobody said have a good night when I walked out nobody said Thank you nobody said anything except basically shop hurry up and leave. This is the bad one, and sadly we only have two Dd's up here. I actually don't even make the effort to come to this store. The outside is always filthy, trash always flying around in front of the store. For whatever reason it has a strange smell that hits you right when you walk in. Their selection is OK, but I really dislike every single employee here. All of them are rude, snobby, unkind, and not courteous. An employee stocking up clothes literally just walked in front of me and hit me with the merchandise and didn't even apologize. I said excuse me and she walked away ignoring me. The cash register was silent the whole time and wouldn't answer questions. There were only 2 registers open and the line went on forever. This store is messy made me feel like I was in a unorganized Walmart. The customer service while shopping is excellent, but during the checkout not so much. One cashier with 4 customers waiting, the manager watched and waited until there more than 7 people waiting in line before open 1 additional register. LOVE the variety of clothes,items and PRICES!! HATE the service and the cashiers are sooo RUDE! There is always a line and 5 people behind the counter but only 1 cashier! Really! Put the clothes away later and take care of your customers. And while still paying for your items they are calling the next customer to the count. Be a little considerate with your paying customers. Maybe if there would be more cashiers helping customers instead of talking then there wouldnt be a need to rush for the next customer Gave it a 2 star rating because I WILL continue to shop there.
