I would not consider this shop under any circumstances, after my telephone conversation with the owner, Don. He was so set against my remaining with my vehicle while he determined its problem, even repeating over and over again how trustworthy he was, based upon the 35 years he has been in business. He was offended when I told him I didn't know him, and that trust is "earned" not automatically granted. Every BAD mechanic I've encountered has said the same exact thing about his trustworthiness and, unfortunately, I may have encountered every one of them in my lifetime. I neglected to mention the fact he presumed I had been to all the shops I named in conducting my search for a competent mechanic, and I had to explain the reason none were able to perform the repairs on my car, which he challenged. Called about getting a fan replaced for my Mercedes. Since my car has a tune and some performance upgrades I wanted to use an upgraded high performance after market fan that has better CFM over the stock part. Unfortunately they don't allow you to bring your own parts in, but I was told they should be able to source the part directly. A day later I called back and they couldn't find a single fan except from the dealer and as a result the quote came back 3 times higher due to the HUGE costs of the sub par dealer parts. So my only option was to pay 3 times more and allow the dealer to make a huge profit selling me a cheap fan or I could find a repair shop that knows and understands performance parts are better than stock in both performance and value. It was a quick and easy decision and I ended up taking my car to shop where I not only paid a 3rd of the price, but I got a much better performance fan at the same time! read more

I've used DDK for some years. Recently I had an oil leak in 3 year old car we just bought. They checked it out and found that the oil filter that was put in was not high quality and didn't fit correctly. Also the place that put it in didn't replace the O ring. This caused oil leaking over my engine. Don explained to me that they had to clean the engine and replace an oil saturated belt that would become a problem later. Dropped off my Classic German car because I had so many people recommending this place. There's not alot of people with these cars so I know the community of these enthusiasts including the Mercedes Classic Parts Division guy. So when Don mentioned he knows him, I know he knows what he was doing. My car now runs strong, smooth, and just so awesome and fun to drive. He spent 10hours on my car but charged me only 3 hours.
