This score was a massive 300-point improvement from my PSAT that I took the year before. Initially, Jen's class helped me to familiarize myself and solve the different types of reading, grammar, and math questions, giving me the initial bump to the 1450 range on a practice test. Then, she taught me to be more vigilant regarding the more deceptive questions, ultimately allowing me to get consistent scores in the mid to high 1500s on the College Board practice SATs. Throughout the process, Jen was very accommodating and answered all of my and my parent's questions about the DSAT. I highly recommend this class to students at all levels looking to improve their scores and can't thank Jen enough for my improvement.

Her tutor was patient, organized, and did a great job explaining things in a way that made sense. They took the time to figure out what she was already doing well and where she needed more practice, then came up with a plan that really worked for her. Scheduling was easy, communication was always clear, and the whole process was stress-free. Best of all, she ended up with a great SAT score! Though Alison is a performer and a teacher, I chose Alison Rizzuto because of her voice therapy background. I figured that her knowledge of vocal physiology would be an excellent resource to help me understand what was happening inside my body as I sang. And I was right, she knows a lot! Alison's background in classical, musical theater and operatic singing was starkly in contrast to my folky "conversational" style as she called it. But it was a benefit for me. I enjoyed the challenge of singing with proper technique that also helped me expand my range, control my breathing, project and build confidence that I was on the right track. Since singing requires no physical instrument (like a guitar) to buy and learn, we sometimes feel it's easy. And to a certain degree it is. But I quickly learned that to sing well required a lot of thought, discipline and practice. And it was all worth it.

Our son did his part, doing practice exams and going over them when they met. We had what we thought was a realistic expectation of how much the score might improve and were pleasantly surprised when he scored higher than we'd hoped and expected. Art is able to explain the material as well as how test questions are designed in ways that our son understood and was able to apply. She has been fabulous to work with, and she's made sure we are happy with the tutors she matches us up with. Michelle always gives us options when selecting a tutor, and we've been so happy with the results. My older son was having so much trouble with virtual learning that he was failing every class. Michelle matched us with an amazing tutor that connected well with my son, tutored in the subjects he needed most, and tutored in executive functioning. With the tutor's assistance, that mostly turned out to be in executive functioning and walking him through the steps to write a huge history paper, my older son ended up with A's and B's for the rest of the year. My younger son needed some help in writing this past year. Michelle recommended what seemed to be an unusual pairing, but my son is so inspired by this writing tutor that instead of playing video games, he takes time to write pieces for her to go over with him and suggest improvements. My older son is also seeing her now as well and is gaining valuable feedback on how he can improve his school writing assignments.
