Special thanks to the black woman at the reception, she is very positive, helpful and hardworking, she helped me solve my situation, she went to one place then to another and at the same time helped other people, great respect to such employees. Also, the medical worker who accepted the papers was brief and polite, asked all the questions to the point and explained everything simply and clearly. The two intake people barely spoke English and when I was finally assigned to my "worker" she was totally unfamiliar with the regulations. I had been told to bring in a form filed it. She left the cubicle for twenty minutes and then said that they don't use that form anymore. Since then I have been flooded with paperwork that is very difficult to understand for someone with a cognitive impairment. Although I am almost unable to walk I have been to Chatsworth several times on the bus to drop off more documents and forms. Overall it has been a really miserable experience. I hear lots of talk about "rich boomers" but that is not the case with all of us. Some aged persons have no family and are on the verge of homelessness. The message I get is "Well, just become homeless." Than I read the politicians say that there's a homeless crisis. Well it is agencies like this one that are causing it by blocking our appeals for help.

They have him going to a hospital or something related without telling us. They need to learn better communication as we have no idea which hospital he could be going, and now his medications will once again be changed. Our previous experiences were well though, just disappointed in the LAPD system for not communicating at all this time.

Going into it, it's hard not to imagine every possible negative outcome. As someone with high anxiety, I was honestly terrified and couldn't stop thinking about worst-case scenarios. But the entire process was nothing but positive. Security was friendly, the check-in staff was welcoming, and they clearly explained that there could be a wait and asked us to be patient. While we waited (15 minutes), we scrolled on our phones and chatted to pass the time. When our number was finally called, I swear it took her saying it three times before it registered I was so nervous I basically blacked out. I had prepared a full binder of evidence, and we had also uploaded over 60 documents to our account ahead of time. In the end, our interview lasted no more than 15 minutes, and we were approved on the spot. My biggest advice: be over-prepared. Bring everything bank statements, insurance, photos, travel receipts, shared bills, and anything else that shows your life together. If your relationship is real, your evidence will speak for itself.

Officer Pearson was trying to have us rescheduled for another day because he was not willing to repeat a question that my wife did not understand. After my wife asked him to rephrase the question and ask again he got up raised his voice and said "I don't have all day", "I am not here to teach you English" my wife speaks and understands English just fine if you speak normally without trying to intimidate her. I paid 3-4k only for the application fees to experience someone like officer Pearson. When we walked to his room he had whole bunch of files and folders on the floor and asked us to make a stop at the copier to hand him the documents so that he can copy. This increases the chances of losing original docs such as passports since there is no table to put your stuff down and organize. He was very rude from the beginning even when I asked him how was his morning going he did not answer nor he asked how are we doing. Officer Pearson just reminding you that our application fees and taxpayer dollars are paying your salary so actually you do have "all day" to be patient and interview us... On the other hand Marcy from reception was awesome and helped us to navigate after that horrible experience. The supervisor (don't remember her name) was awesome at her job to quickly problem solve and move things alone. Our second officer Campbell was incredibly amazing. She was very warm and understanding and conducted the interview at the most professional fashion. It is just heartbreaking to see that employees like Marcy and Officer Campbell are holding the USCIS experience to the highest American standards while employees like Pearson are ruining it.

I'm so grateful and I am also embarrassed because I had said things that no ever needs to be talked to that way but I had no control over my mind after a 2 minutes full seizure. At the hospital I didn't still remember anything including the date, year, month, my own name and address. I apologized to one of them like a million times the young guy but I doubt he forgave me but I'm hoping this will shed more light on getting seizures and those around the patient canNOT take anything they say seriously, I might not be here tomorrow or maybe another day or a week or a month but if I go I wanted to apologize to all the brave the Fire fighters and paramedics.
