Alexandra was absolutely amazing at my daughter's birthday party! She was punctual and incredibly responsive leading up to the event. Her face painting was beautiful and her balloon art impressed both kids & parents. I couldn't recommend her more! read more

Alexandra was amazing. She showed up on time, with all her supplies, and was excellent with the kids. She did very elaborate face painting designs, with rhinestones, and glitter, and was able to do about 12 kids in an hour. After she did lots of face painting, she made balloon animals for the kids. Highly recommend for kids parties. read more

Alexandra is AMAZING!!! She really knows what she is doing and she is so fast and efficient with it. Hired her for my cousin's 2nd birthday in the park and she was prompt and was just amazing. I think she did more face paintings and ballon animals for adults than kids. Her face painting is so pretty and beautiful. Each picture came alive and was so vibrant. She was super nice and friendly and so inviting. I might just have to hire her for my own birthday read more

Alexandra was amazing!!!! She worked us into her schedule pretty last minute. She was on time. She went looking for kids they had not got their face painted or a balloon animal. She went out of her way to make my birthday girl feel special. I have raved about her to everyone!!! You can't go wrong hiring her. (Best price around too) read more

Hired Alexandra for daughter's 6th birthday. She was great to work with from timely communication, prompt arrival, and quality of work and interaction with the kids. Hired her primarily for the face painting but her being able to make balloon animals was a bonus offering that was a hit with the kids. Highly recommend her. read more

Amazing!!!! She was superb! We had a birthday party of 16 kids and I was worried it will not be enough time to do face painting and balloon twisting, or my fear was she would be too slow. To my surprise, she was fast and most importantly her quality of work was beautiful! Everyone at the party was talking about her, even people who had face painting before said she was much better! Balloon twisting was also a great hit!!! Highly recommend her! read more

Alexandra was terrific!!! She worked so quickly, the kids were able to have multiple paintings each. And all of the paintings were awesome! Her balloon twisting skills were great as well. We all enjoyed her, kids and adults alike. She'll definitely be our Go-To choice the next time we need a face painter/balloon twister!!! Thank you so much for adding lots of fun to our party DC Face Painting! read more

Unfortunately I wasn't able to use her services as planned so this review is solely on customer service. I was in search of entertainment for my daughter's second birthday and found her on Yelp. Throughout the planning process, Alexandra was extremely courteous and helpful throughout. I look forward to working with her in the future. read more

We hired Alexandra for my office's family Halloween party. She did a great job! I think people were nervous to go up to her at first, so she started making balloon animals to go with the costumes the kids were wearing- great idea to break the ice! Everyone was very impressed with both her face painting and her balloons. And she charged very reasonable price for such a great impact she made on the party. Definitely would recommend her. read more

We booked Alexandra for our daughter's birthday party and she was a BIG hit with both the kids and the parents. The kids loved her for her amazing face painting skills (pirate, Elsa, clown, Pokémon, you name it...), glitter tattoos, and her awesome balloon art. The parents kept saying how she's the most efficient and talented face painter/balloon artist they've met in the kid bday party circuit :). Beyond her artistic skills, Alexandra was professional and great to work with -- she was very communicative over email, charged a fair price, and arrived early to set up her work area. I highly recommend her and can't wait to see her at our friends' kids' bday parties. Thanks again, Alexandra!! read more

We hired Alexandra for our son's 2nd birthday last weekend. She was amazing! Many parents came to me asking how I found her and how great she is (and many are likely going to hire her for future events). She went out of her way to make the kids happy with the face painting and balloons. She added glitter, used stamps for kids who wouldn't sit still, even did a Mickey Mouse painting for the birthday boy! She also created some very unique balloons that the kids loved. And to top it off, DC face painting was one of the more reasonably priced services when I was shopping for face painting and balloons. I will definitely be hiring Alexandra for future birthday parties!! Thank you! for making our sons's birthday party even more fun! read more

Alexandra is amazing! We hired her for our son's fifth birthday party. We hoped that she would arrive on time and be able to fit in balloons and face paint for all of the children. She exceeded those expectations by quite a long mile. We were pleasantly surprised by her attention to detail with the face paint. I didn't think my son would get anything sparkly on his face, but she included a little... I'm not sure what it is... Black shimmer? In his superhero eyes that made them noticeable even to someone like me, who typically doesn't pay a lot of attention to these things. The balloons exceeded expectations also. She made bow and arrows, special butterfly wands... At one point, the kids had to take a break to tour a fire station. She proactively used the time to make extra balloon animals for the kids. Very high recommend. Looking forward to booking her for other parties! read more

An amazing face painter!!! I would highly recommend her. She was prompt and has a great demeanor, so impressed by her work - she did balloons as well which were equally impressive / all the kids loved her read more

We celebrated my daughters birthday and hired Alexandra from DC Face Painting. She was exceptional!!! I found her on Thumbtack. Alexandra was the first to respond and even called me to discuss details. She was punctual showing up a few minutes before the party. I was shocked she was able to paint 13 kids faces in about 45 minutes and even had time to make each child a balloon animal before the hour was up. She even surprised my daughter with a crown on her head while eating. If you are looking for a face painter, she comes highly recommended from me (and her reviews online from many others)! read more

Very professional and talented. Exceeded expectations....thank you!

Fantastic experience!!! Alexandra came out for our 4 year old's birthday party. Alexandra had a large selection of designs. I even saw her painting a couple of mom's arms. After all that, then there was the balloon twisting. Alexandra was so fun and sweet with the kids. A couple of parents came up to me and commented about how great she was. Professionally, Alexandra was fantastic to work with. She responded very quickly to emails, answered all of my questions. The other parents at the party were impressed and that's the true test! read more

Alexandra, did an amazing job!! All the kids (and parents) were extremely impressed and happy with her face painting and balloon twisting works of art during our office function! She did such an amazing job that many of the adults wanted to get their own faces painted! Many of the party attendees were highly impressed with her work and i received amazing comments from all the members on how excellent her work was and that they had not expected it to be as impressive. Alexandra was amazing with kids of ALL ages, and she stayed extremely busy for the entire full 2 hours without a break, making this a huge success for our party event. She provided both facepainting and balloon twisting for each of the children and kept everyone happy and amazed with her techniques. Alexandra brought complete enjoyment to everyone and all the kids left extremely happy with their face (or body/arm) painted and a twisted balloon! We are most appreciative and are beyond impressed at all her wonderful work, her talent, her patience, and her personality. If I could give her 10 stars or more, I would! Great success and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone else that is interested in keeping their kids entertained! Thank you for you hard work and dedication Alexandra!!!! This helped make our event a HUGE success!! read more

I hired Alexandra for my daughter's birthday party this month. She is the best face painter and balloon artist I've ever seen! Her painting was beautiful, she did all the kids and some of the adults too. She did designs as well as masks, with glitter and even little gem stickers. She is very fast and was able to give the kids multiple drawings - on their face and arms. Her balloons were also a hit - some extremely creative and skilled balloons, including a crown and flowers for the birthday girl. There were also some pretty cool animals and even a train with a little puff of smoke coming from the engine! Very impressive. She showed up a few minutes early to set up, was friendly and very good with all the kids, and had books with varied designs to look through for both face painting and balloons. She used her time very well, taking any down time to make extra balloons for kids who didn't have any yet, and seeking out the more shy kids. I would use her services again and would definitely recommend to anyone! read more
