If I could give a 0 it would be too much praise for this group. No one seems to know anything…read more Everyone tells you 30 mins, when they mean 4-6 hours. They have made it difficult to get a bonded individual out and bond was posted 5.5 hours ago. They made an excuse that they had a medical emergency and had to lock him back up, but that was 2 hours after bond and monitor in place. So that's crap. They have a guy here since yesterday (2pm) and here it is almost 7pm and they can't confirm if he is on a list to turn himself in or not. CLOWNS! Now...shift change is happening...so, now; he might get out in "30" minutes. Make that 45 min.. Now an hour and a half....We shall see.. People that are incarcerated have rights. When you violate those rights, you become the criminals. This is a sad excuse for police officers...slow, ignorant, uncaring. When you treat your inmates and their family like trash, you in turn become the trash.

My mother took a fall here on approximately 12/1/23 in her cell after the shower shoes she was…read moregiven were to big. She let a man and a woman know about it and stayed in severe pain without any medical care given at all. Animals at the SPCA's are given better treatment than my 67 year old mother was given. She had to crawl to get her trays of food because of the pain and lost down to 114 lbs. It has been confirmed by Medical staff that she broke her back and has a scar on her back from falling on her back in her cell. Once again animals receive better medical treatment that a human being.

I arrived at Hagerstown prison on some Bullsh*t possession charge…read more(I told them it was that hitchhiker I picked up that left that piece of crack under my seat). Hagerstown prison sits on a rolling hill and due to the limited amount of lightpollution surrounding the area you can see the big dipper quite well. I was walked into the prison(I am sorry, correctional facility) by two of the nicest police officers in the world.I have only nice things to say about the fine police force of Hagerstown. The gates to the correctional facility opened up and the first thing I noticed was how clean the place was. Wow! was I impressed. The lovely color of orange the walls where painted matched my new orange jumpsuit I was issued. Getting processed into general population is never a quick affair, but 11 hours!! I already had knocked off one star for that inconveinence. The staff was pretty friendly, well as far as prison staffs go. I was in the processing room for about 4 hours when my stomach was rumbling from the Indian food I had for dinner. No one ever wants to drop a deuce with 14 dudes within 10 feet, but you got to do what you got to do. If I could take one thing from prison and put it in my house, It would be those steel toilets. Talk about comfort, I almost forgot I was in prison for a second. Fast forward a week I am in general population and I only got into one small fight over a half eaten apple. I know Prison has rules for visitors, but come on. This is from the visitors code: Visitors must dress appropriately for visitation. All clothing must cover from the neck to the kneecaps. The following types of clothing are not allowed to be worn: * tube tops, tank tops, or halter tops * see-through clothing * mini-skirts, mini-dresses, shorts, skorts, or culottes (at or above the kneecap) * form-fitting clothes such as leotards, spandex, and leggings What do you want my lady to wear when she comes to visit me a burka? Hagerstown Prison is not Attika or Angola (Louisiana Prison, not the country in Africa) but it could use some improvements. Only 3 basic cable channels and no nets for the basketball hoops are the least of the problems here. But the staff is decent and even the Warden seems like a swell guy.

yeah, there is a whole complex of prisons out here. but it isn't hagerstown, but the state of…read moremaryland. so people would first go to the intake and reception facility in downtown baltimore after they are convicted and sentenced, and eventually they would get assigned to the appropriate prison/correctional facility, which may be one of the ones here. at any rate, not pleasant. i went to roxbury correctional institute (RCI). real scary. you go to the main gate, yell up to a guard in the tower what your purpose is (mine was to see clients, not as an inmate) and then get processed in. you have to wear a little arm band and get a phosphorescent stamp on your hand, just in case someone inside were to kill you and change into your clothes. i saw my clients in a crowded day room. i think that the guards were just trying to intimidate me by putting me in such an unsecure area. i never mind going to a local county detention center, but coming here would scare anyone straight.

Northern Neck Regional Jail - I hear the VIP room is over-rated.

Love that the stainless steel toilet seats are easy to clean (urine beads right off)…read more Haven't yet had the elusive Wagyu steaks that are served in the mess hall every 6th Saturday of the month, but all the other prisoners rave about the exquisite marbling and fantastic taste. A few colleagues told me to avoid some of the southern food, like the corn bread, as it is intermittently laced with ex-lax. The prison hooch is meh, the floaties are tasteless, and is overpriced at 1 strip of postage stamps. Much prefer the delectable margaritas served in Seychelles, or the hard-charging vodka that is available in much of mother Russia The VIP prisoner section is the way to go (no roomies!). No dual ankle bracelets required AND they send a guard past the cell every 15 minutes because they like us so much. There are spectacular artists on my cell block! I'm considering a Richard Nixon tattoo for my lower back, spades on my ankle, and/or the border outline of Ukraine to help obfuscate the blemishes on my groin. This resort offers so much self-improvement: I've taken up the yoga, mindful meditation, green tea enemas, and am happily gluten free for 16 hours and counting! Cons: -there is a lingering odor that doesn't seem to go away. The smell could be that my mentally ill friend Roger, has feces-flinging-fits. And they are not often cleaned up -mobile phone use costs 3 cans of tuna, which is overpriced as there is no WhatsApp on the flip phone -the library has a pitiful selection similar to that rural Alabama town Sessions took me to once: they are missing the Reagan-era National Reviews, and they don't carry Foreign Policy magazine, at all

Honestly this place is nicer than many of the hotels in Ukraine and Russia that I have visited…read more The food isn't bad and the homemade Pruno is awesome. My only complaint is the visitor policy. I'm positive my good friend Don has been calling and trying to visit for weeks, but they must be preventing him from getting in contact because I haven't heard from him yet.
