It's in the lesser known neighorhood of Langdon in NE DC (south of Brookland). The building itself is historic and giant. It's well kept maintaining its old charm. Inside are art studios for a collection of DC small businesses and creatives. Twice a year they open the warehouse to the public to showcase each studio's work. As you wander throughout the building, talk to the artists, enjoy the snacks they lay out in each room, and get to know their stories. Many of them are native to this city and express their perspectives through their beautiful art.

So much of the federal city can be seen from this venue. Since Top of the Town is a venue hosting events ranging from business meetings to weddings the food and drinks will be dependent on the caterer. I believe Top of the Town is situated on top of circa 1960s or 1970s condos. The elevator to get to the top is slower than the sloth in the Geico commercials and the bathrooms are dated. Also, it's a long awkward walk from the elevator to the main banquet room. Which brings up a point - there are various banquet rooms and the main one has a rooftop deck. This venue is a good 1/2 mile walk from the Rosslyn Metro station and there is a fairly significant hill as you approach the building. I hiked it in wedges but I don't think I could have done it in pumps or on a bike.

Easy access to transportation (red line, bus 42/43/L2 and others), and my favorite thing: so close to rock creek park! My second favorite thing is the rooftop - panoramic views!

Location (between Adams Morgan and Dupont) is fantastic. Roof has a great view of downtown. Hallways are clean. Cons: Though rare, I've seen some roaches. The radiators are noisy and ancient. The walls are on the thin side--I can hear people walk above and get busy next door. The walls are also oddly cut up due to structural elements (e.g. columns in corners and near ceilings), and they're not drywall so they tend to crumble if you put a nail in them. There are too many rules--no window flower boxes, nothing in the hallway outside your door, 80% of hard wood must be covered by rugs, no glass on the roof, visiting friends/family are considered illegal residents.
