Okay. I had the Cincinnati Coney, fries and a coke. The coke was the best part. I wonder if the idea to make something "Cincinnati" is to dump overly salty bland chili and shredded cheese on a hot dog. Not so great. The fries were better but they're just fries Airport prices.

A pretty limited selection of beer on draft for a place that has "craft brews" in its name. I was hoping for the beer equivalent of Vino Volo. Such is not the case. But service was very quick. The chili was pretty good and I didn't have to wait very long for it to arrive. It's a decent place to grab a beer while waiting for a flight.

Limited choices for breakfast early AM at IAD. I wanted something different than the bagel breakfast sandwich others offer and the Breakfast Dog really works. The sweetness of the chicken apple sausage and the kick of the Pico is good. Totally messy though.

Whenever I go to an airport (especially Dulles), I usually resign myself to having to eat expensive unremarkable food. My boyfriend and I came in with this attitude to DC-3, the only open food place at the time, and came out pleasantly surprised! This was an impressively delicious and stand-out fast food airport dining experience! - Breakfast hotdog (I forget the menu name) - My stomach wasn't quite awake but this is a hotdog joint so I figured I needed to try their namesake. A customer next to me even remarked, "I couldn't eat a hot dog for breakfast!" But somehow this dog hit all the marks without weighing me down. Part of the secret was in the chicken apple sausage, which was nicely meaty yet sweet and light. The tomatoey salsa added a surprisingly tasty freshness without making the dog too soggy. And the mayo-style sauce and the egg balanced everything out with a little creaminess. I expected something heavy, oily, or too salty, but this did a great job of tiding me over without weighing me down. - Breakfast croissant sandwich with egg, cheese, and bacon - My boyfriend really enjoyed this! It was simple yet tasty. It tasted fresher than the average airport breakfast sandwich. Overall, not a bad option for an early morning Dulles breakfast, and I'd be happy to eat here again!

Sexist dribble on the wall of DC-3 wishing for "simpler times" when "flight attendants looked like beauty pageant contestants." Eww. Creepy.

The food is actually surprisingly good here, and nothing wrong with the service. On these alone I could give a 4-Star rating. What I have to bring the rating down for is the backwards, sexist language on the wall commiserating the "simpler times" when "flight attendants looked like beauty pageant contestants and pilots were heroes." Women are not working grueling hours making sure that planes are safe and that passengers can get where they need to be as a prize for men to look at. AND, men do the job of flight attendant too. DC-3 should join the rest of us in the 21st century and take this sexist dribble off its wall.

Chicago Dog, a thing of beauty!

This fine establishment used to have a location close to my friends house in DC, and we would eat there often. When I heard it was closing and relocating to Dulles of all places, we were pretty bummed. Now the only good cheap food around his part of DC is Pizza Boli. Eventually I had to fly somewhere, and I made damn sure this was the place Id go, no matter how far from my flight (a 10 minute walk, close to the walk from my DC pals place). And lo and behold, its just as good at the airport as it was in DC. I ordered the Chicago dog, to me the best style of hot dog. My argument is this: a chili dog, or the like, is nice, but a lot of hot dog variations tend to smother the flavor of the actual hot dog. The Chicago dog works WITH the flavor of the hot dog, rather than burying it in a delicious pile of condiments. And true to form, dc-3's Chicago dog was killer. It was stuffed to the top with tomato, crunchy and spicy hot peppers, that weird but tantalizing nuclear-waste green pickle relish. Lets not forget the spear of pickle, some chopped onions, a healthy dose of mustard, all on a poppy seed bun of course. It took a while to come out but I enjoyed it thoroughly. Ive also had at the old location the West Virginia dog (chili and coleslaw - oh dear Lord), and the Korean-toppings dog, which were both great, but stick with the Chicago style if you ask me. They serve fries but theres nothing really memorable unless you put chili cheese on them (and why bother when half the menu is chili-centric anyways?). This is good, inexpensive food, and satisfying. Please reopen the closed DC location. Or anywhere in DC. Its in your name. DC-3. Dont stay Dulles-3 forever. We miss you!

Got the half smoke hot dog. Was it worth $6.50? Nope. But it's airport food. Just don't expect Costco sized hotdog for the price you pay.

My co-workers and I tried the bratwurst and currywurst with mixed reviews. The brat was good, as was the currywurst however one complaint was that it was not saucy enough. One person did not like the red cabbage, but the sauerkraut and potato salad both got high marks. One thing we all agreed on: the kaiser roll was pretty dry and not really edible unless you gave it a good pre-soak first. Again, this is where some extra sauce on the currywurst would have come in handy. The guy running the truck was super nice and greeted me with a friendly heckle when I took his picture "without permission." $9 is about average for lunch in this area and I enjoyed trying something different.

They looked like they were probably sitting on the griddle all morning. That being said, the potato salad was really good and the red cabbage was pretty good. Wish they would have given us more of those and ate the sausages themselves. I'm sorry for the 1 star, but the king needs to know if he serves up that burnt garbage he deserves it.

I've gotten live lobster from here and steamed them at home during the summer- had a great experience with fresh lobsters! I recently tried the lobster rolls and it was fine. I'm not sure if I'll be back for the rolls, but I will for live lobsters. Lobster rolls are $20.20 for 1. They can assemble it for you, or you can take them home, toast it and assemble. I recommend the latter and add butter to the rolls. I also added a big squeeze of lemon before eating. I've had better, but in a pinch these are good. I think I'm partial to Connecticut lobster rolls. Out of curiosity, I weighed each container of meat. One came out to 4.58 oz and the other 4.66 oz (including the container, which on its own was about 0.7-0.8 oz). Loved the bread- soft and even better with the slight buttery toast. On another note, I know it's not peak season for anything, but the fish under the glass counter looked a little gray and sad. I will be back during the summer. :)
