When I went to un-hitch the Smart Car from the van; the car would not start! I called for Mercedes roadside assistance, I was directed to find a local towing company and bring the Smart Car to the Mercedes Dealer in Winnipeg. After asking several local contacts for a referral I called the folks at Windy Lane Towing. They were able to squeeze me in for a late afternoon run up to Winnipeg. Ken was the driver who arrived to load my car onto the Tilt-Up Flatbed truck. He was very professional, knew what he was doing and soon we shared a ride in his truck cab up to Winkler. After I left the car for service, I rode back to Winkler with Ken. He is a most enjoyable fellow, and he and his company provided great service for good value. Highly recommend them is you need to tow your vehicle, small or large.

The price was quite a bit lower than what one would pay at a dealership. I am happy to recommend him to anyone needing similar service!

It may have been quicker and cheaper but not worth it in the end. It is now going to cost me over $4500 to repair my car. I went for an oil change and a 21 point inspection. My invoice indicated no leaks. I was left to assume that included the water pump as well. As it turns out it didn't. They assumed I knew that and I didn't. I now know that they did not check that. When I asked about the level of the coolant in the water pump I was told it was low and they did not carry the right stuff. I drive a 2001 VW Beetle. After contacting the manager in Winnipeg he informed me that they could have used what they had on hand. If they had added some coolant they would maybe have caught the leak. My hope is that they are going to try to make this right but as of now they have not. This was a week ago.

My experience with Pembina Valley Auto on September 1, 2026 was extraordinary from start to finish…read more I was referred to them by Triple EEE Leisure Travel Vans after arriving in Winkler Manitoba Canada from Puyallup, Washington. I had left home on August 28 with my passenger‑side door window and seat controls completely inoperative. The day before my departure, Mercedes‑Benz of Tacoma had replaced both mirrors on my 2025 60th Anniversary Leisure Travel Van Unity Corner Bed built on the Mercedes 3500XD chassis. Unfortunately, on the first day of my trip, I discovered that the passenger seat and window controls were not functioning. I was already too far into my travel to turn back, and I needed to reach Winkler for unrelated warranty work. Upon arrival at Triple EEE, Mary Fehr in Warranty Customer Service recommended that I contact Pembina Valley Auto and ask for Peter. Despite this being a last‑minute, same‑day request, Peter told me to bring my LTV right over. Only one hour later, he approached me and said the issue was resolved. Three connectors inside the passenger door panel had been left hanging, and Peter and his maintenance team corrected the problem immediately and with impressive precision. Before I left, Peter asked me to walk with him so we could verify that everything was fully operational. He demonstrated the passenger seat and window controls, ensuring I saw firsthand that everything was functioning exactly as it should. During this walkthrough, Peter noticed completely on his own, that a couple of rubber wire protectors on the driver's side (unrelated to the original issue) had not been installed properly by Mercedes. Without hesitation, he fixed them right on the spot. This level of attention to detail and pride in workmanship is rare and deeply appreciated. I cannot express how grateful I am for the service I received. Their customer service was above reproach, truly the best I have ever experienced, and better than any American company has ever treated me. Pembina Valley Auto demonstrated integrity, urgency, technical expertise, and genuine care for my situation. If you are anywhere near the Manitoba Winkler area, Pembina Valley Auto is the place to go. Ask for Peter. You will not find better service, better professionalism, or better people.

The hours are good and the wash bays are continuously cleaned although visibility in the self serve…read morebay is near zero obviously due to lack of effective ventilation. The self wash worked well, however, I was annoyed when the Nynax payment machine said the charge was $17 and moments later I received a text to say my card was charged $20. I asked the high school students working there about it and they could not help. I found out 6 days later that it was a pre-auth and the real charge of $11.50 (not $17?) appeared on my statement. There is no notice at the car wash to say this. It's impossible to get a printed receipt as there are no printers. A sign said to get an eReceipt at a website but that does not work if using ApplePay or GooglePay so I'm now without a receipt. The wash owner called back after a few days and I explained this but he said to call Nynax, the credit card processor. Why isn't he doing this? It's his business! He didn't even have a phone number I could call. After a lot of running around trying to find Nynax, I finally received an email that they cannot help without the credit card number, and yet, their systems accept ApplePay and GooglePay. Fortunately there are many other car washes nearby and hopefully none of them use the Nynax card processing system and hopefully unlike this poorly managed business they have supervisors onsite that a customer can talk to. It would have saved me a lot of wasted time and frustration. This is the first and last time I'll go here.

He did come very quickly, fixed whatever needed fixing, and refunded the extra wash I had bought. For that reason, I'm changing my one-star review to 4 stars.
