Our dentist (Dr Kathy) was patient and took the time to review everything with us beforehand and answer all of our questions.

Subject: Feedback on Recent Root Canal Experience at South Jersey Endodontics…read more Dear South Jersey Endodontics Team, I recently experienced a severe toothache due to an infection in tooth #30 and visited my DMO-preferred dentist, Dr. Samir Patel, for advice. Although the tooth had no prior symptoms of infection, he recommended that I see an endodontist at South Jersey Endodontics. Having had a previous root canal procedure done by Dr. Steven Ryu with an excellent, pain-free experience, I requested to see him again. However, I was informed that he was unavailable, and instead, I was scheduled with Dr. Divya Trikannad, whom I had not worked with before. Upon my visit, an X-ray was taken, followed by a recommendation for a 360° CT scan, which I was told would provide better clarity for the procedure. I was informed that this scan was not covered by insurance and would cost $300 out-of-pocket. Although I agreed to proceed, I had never been required to undergo this scan in my past root canal treatments. Unfortunately, despite this additional imaging, my experience during and after the procedure was extremely painful, to the point where I had to take three days off from work to recover. I genuinely question the necessity of the 360° CT scan, as it did not seem to contribute to a smoother or less painful procedure. In my opinion, this additional step felt more like an unnecessary cost rather than a true benefit to patient care. Ultimately, I ended up paying more than what my insurance covered, and the experience did not meet my expectations. I sincerely urge your team to avoid imposing unwarranted procedures on patients, especially when experienced professionals in your practice have successfully handled similar cases without them in the past. Finally, I understand that reviews reflect individual experiences, and expectations can vary from person to person. It's often challenging to judge a service or practitioner based on a single review, as a collective opinion is usually more informative. My intention here is not to defame the practitioner or the group that provided my treatment, but rather to share my personal experience, which was significantly different from my previous root canal procedures--both with this group and elsewhere. Unfortunately, this particular incident severely impacted me during and after the procedure, unlike any I've had before. I encourage anyone reading my review to consider it as part of a broader perspective and to make informed decisions based on multiple viewpoints. Best regards, Kannan Varadachari

I asked for the cost of the service ahead of time and was told only $100 which I paid the day of my appt. then I start getting texts from "The Smilest". My dentist office does not share this name nor was I aware of any affiliation. Called the number and the customer services sounds sketchy. They can't even provide you with the actual name of the dental office you visited for which they are billing you for. I'll be going into the original office I visited and paying it there. Please stop contacting people without all the details for which you are charging balances for. It sounded like a full scam. Aside from that, I complained about the dental assistant that did the service to my daughter. He was unprofessional and decided to talk about the medical treatment directly to my 14 year old daughter as if I wasn't there. I only ended up in the Blackwood, Washington Township office following after my dentist who I used to see in Sewell. Now as much as I tell them I only want an appt with him they continuously make appt for me with whomever they want. I believe this extra unexpected bill with no proper explanation and my last visit is the last straw for me.

I hadn't been to Lanzi Burke since I had my upper (and extra!) wisdom teeth extracted about three…read moreyears ago. Excellent, professional, cleanly practice ! Today I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Wagner. Such a nice and knowledgable doctor! I got the good news of not needing an extraction / root canal, etc. The pain was "just" trigeminal neuralgia- related. Fun times! Is it petty that Im subtracting a star for the rude receptionist's uppity attitude when I was lost (but oh so close to the office?!) Im never late to appointments and get nervous when I'm lost, esp in an unfamiliar area with heavy traffic. She kept talking over me - not appreciated! Other than that, a perfect experience (again).

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I also hoped I could say this anonymously since…read morethe general attitude of the entire office was abominable and intimidating. I was here for a consultation last year and now that I've had great care at another office, I strongly recommend Cooper so you don't become broke, fearful and paralyzed!! First, particularly rude receptionists which was absolutely unnecessary. Talked over you, thought that you were stupid, etc. Second, when I went through the back doors to get tests done, there was a giant Trump 2020 flag. Nobody could miss it, and of course it was after the locked doors and not visible in the waiting room. I hope it has been taken down since, not because of my personal beliefs or my ability to use Google, but because no matter anyone's political views, it should NOT be displayed in a DOCTORS. OFFICE. I have never seen anything like that before or after this hell hole. Even if I was on Trump's campaign for running for office, I would not put that in a DOCTORS OFFICE. Third, when I was about to get the tests done, I was unable to remove my ear piercings since they were new and I was not going to pay another $100 and wait 6 more months to get them re-pierced. They were NASTY. I almost cried because of how horrible these people were about my piercings and making their opinions on them very known. Not that it should matter, but I only have 2 piercings in my lower ears- I can't imagine what they say and how they would treat someone if they had any piercings out of the usual. Fourth, they were scheduling a wisdom tooth surgery for me and they were going to get all 4 teeth out. Innocuous right, to the general naive person? But when I went to Cooper for the wisdom tooth surgery, they had to do a Coronectomy (where they only get the crown of the tooth, not the roots). My surgeon did this because the roots were dangerously close to the a nerve, (inferior alveolar nerve), and that if they did that procedure without a coronectomy, I could have ended up PERMANENTLY PARALYZED in my face. Fifth, when I was about to leave the office the receptionist barked at me to pay nearly $8,000 immediately or they would cancel my surgery appointment, (with decent dental insurance too). They told me that my surgery was imminently needed and that I should book it ASAP and I was tearful that I couldn't afford that in the moment. They did not tell me about that necessary payment beforehand or maybe I would have tried to find the money??? Not only was this hell hole astonishingly rude, unprofessional, disrespectful, nasty, unsafe, concerning, and exploitative, but apparently they are also known for this! I was informed by an unnamed surgeon that they have a reputation for not being thorough, consistent, nor kind. What a tragic combination. In the end, I am glad that I couldn't afford $8,000 (with no notice) so I could go to another doctor that would not paralyze me. I am one day post-op from the wisdom tooth surgery at Cooper, and it was handled extremely professionally. Please learn from my traumatic experience and I hope that this hell hole shuts down and doesn't hurt anyone else. Thanks for reading until the end.
