I am leaving this review to express my extreme concern regarding the total failure of your…read moreemergency on-call doctor system here at the Blackwood location and to warn potential patients of the substandard care I feel I received here. All other locations seem to be able to keep this function operational. I have learned that over the past several months, there have been multiple reports from patients experiencing extreme pain and discomfort (and complications) following procedures done in this Blackwood office, only to find the emergency hotline is non-responsive or hangs up on the caller. This systemic failure not only undermines the trust placed in your practice but also potentially violates the standard of care expected in the dental profession. It is very distressing to learn that despite notifications from suffering patients, no corrective measures have been taken to address this critical issue. This lack of urgency in resolving this matter should be alarming and raise questions about the office's commitment to the welfare of all current and prospective patients. Dental Solutions' negligence in maintaining an operational emergency response system can have severe consequences for patients in acute distress. This is especially important considering your multiple patients who have received shoddy dental work from a now-terminated dentist at this practice. I (and others) who have connected regarding serious concerns at this location have then needed additional dental procedures to correct the work of an inept and unqualified "professional." That is not to mention the unnecessary pain and suffering this has caused for MONTHS. I'd also like to point out that the dental assistant who assisted the now-terminated dentist who appeared to be high on uppers and making strange comments the entire time and kept accidentally hitting other teeth on with dental instruments. I'd like to conclude this with another experience I had at the Dental Solutions Blackwood location. While undergoing a routine root canal (again, to correct a poorly done filling by the now-terminated employee), Dr. Lan Wu broke a file off in my root. She quickly panicked and ushered me out of the office while ensuring she told me I had signed a release, and this was not her fault. How is that for patient care? I was told to contact an endodontist to have the file removed. They gave me the name of a place that did not take my insurance. Finally, I was able to get in somewhere (paying $1400 cash) to have the file removed and the root canal completed by a capable dental professional. I then returned to Dental Solutions Blackwood where Dr. Wu put a temporary crown on. Within the week, I began experiencing pain once again, and when I returned for my permanent crown, it was so incredibly sensitive they could not complete it. I was told I'd need to return to the endodontist to have it checked. On my way out, they attempted to charge for me the crown! Are you kidding me? Since then, the tooth was retreated several times but in the end it has to be pulled. My last experience at Dental Solutions was when I went back to have my temporary put back on. The assistant didn't even clean it, she just kept trying to jam it back on several ways, clearly lacking the training to do this. The pain was unbearable. This was the last I could tolerate of this poor care and walked out! Since then, I have had the opportunity to receive dental care without the dentist frantically going from patient to patient mid-procedure, poorly trained assistants from expressing frustration and arguing with coworkers in front of patients. I'd also like to note that two of my other fillings done in December here are now being redone tomorrow and one may need to be a root canal now. Here we go again! I am now on the hook for over $10,000 on this one tooth. I urge you to conduct a thorough investigation into this matter and implement the necessary protocols to prevent such oversights in the future. The well-being of your patients must be a top priority, and it is essential that all aspects of care, including emergency response, are held to the highest standards. If you'd like to gamble with your dental health and the extreme pain that comes from a practice seemingly lacking qualified, caring and capable professionals, as well as any semblance of concern for their patients, you may do so. But I could not in good conscience fail to leave this review as our first step in educating prospective patients of your practice.

There is an obvious difference in service such as less wait time, the staff appear to be more at ease, and the staff were more communicative than I've previously experienced. I told the staff that completed my dental work that I noticed a great difference and that it was by far my best visit there. That is when I was thanked and told that they were under new management. Then, I was encouraged to present a review as there were a lot of negative feedback, previously. I was glad to. Unfortunately, I am experiencing some negative dental experiences following the procedure I had, yesterday. The office isn't open, tomorrow. Hence, I will have to wait until Monday to hopefully have it fixed and the discomfort relieved. I will come back to this sight and post my follow up.

(When I walked in at 9:15 AM, I had a bad feeling because the waiting room was piggedy packed!!!) At 9:45 AM I checked with one of the girls at the front desk as to when I would be taken back. She said that she would go back and find out and come back and let me know. That never happened! The patient next to me had a 9 a.m. appointment, and was still waiting for his "turn." At 10 AM., I went up to the front desk again and told her that if I wasn't called back by 10:15 AM that I had to leave because I had to go to work. She told me that three patients were still ahead of me! WTF?!! She softly apologized to me and said other patients had complained of the same thing (waiting too long / being taken LATE). So why don't you change your protocol or scheduling of appointments?! Now they will be losing myself and my two children as patients!!! THREE PATIENTS GONE and I bet more will follow suit! The girl at the front desk, offered me April 24th as a reschedule. Uhh NO! Seriously?!! FIT ME IN FOR YOUR ERROR!!! There are way too many dentists, doctors etc., providers to have to deal with incompetence! DO BETTER! I requested my dental records; thankfully there is no cost for them and I now will be going to my sister's dentist! I am now late for work, did not have my teeth cleaned, and I'm in a foul mood! So, June 2019 I'm visiting my dad from San Diego, CA. I had been to a huckster dentist in SD about…read morea month before who told me he needed to do a "deep cleaning" because my gums were receding quite a bit. He told me out of pocket it would cost me about $2000! Something was fishy about that. He didn't do any type of cleaning the day of the visit. Just sent me home with an upsale of a deep cleaning. I'm visiting my dad and I tell him about the con-artist dentist in SD. Also, I had a terrible gum sore at the time. My dad urges me to go to his own dentist, Dr. Ni. I'm skeptical due to my previous encounter in SD, but decide to give it a shot. Well, I get in there and Dr. Ni sees exactly what the issue is with my sore gums. He tells me to get some Anbesol and apply it daily. It should go away on it's own. It does within about 1 week. Then, I explain to Dr. Ni the news about the dentist in SD trying to pry $2000 out of me for a "deep cleaning". He and the dental hygenist look at me and go "what? that's crazy!". So, Dr. Ni pulls out his tools and starts cleaning my teeth on the spot. During the cleaning he actually says "this is a deep cleaning by the way". I felt very comfortable and appreciative because I realized at that time, I was in good hands with a dentist who actually cared about the patient and not about lining his own pockets. The cleaning he did was a "deep cleaning", but really felt like a standard cleaning. He did an outstanding job either way. The cleaning was covered by my insurance (Aetna), so I didn't pay anything for it. I loved my visit with Dr. Ni and if I lived closer, I'd be in there at least once a year for my check ups and cleanings.
