Absolutely the worst. They have taken horrible care of my father. The dentist leaves a lot to be desired. He paid in full in March and it's August and they just did yet another impression the day they were supposed to finally put the permanent set in AGAIN because they are as incompetent as they come. In 2015 I had an implant done at Universal Dentistry by Dr. Denmark. At the time I wrote a positive review of the dentist but slammed the front desk's aggressive way of demanding immediate payment. Sadly I must report that even the competence of the dentist must be reconsidered. In the last week I had been having increasing gum pain. I arranged to see my local dentist who found the problem- my implant was loose and cut into the gum. He took x-rays and said that he would need to remove the screw to see if it was still in good condition to be reinserted. Fortunately the screw was fine and the implant was put back. Since I had several implants and didn't know where this was done I agreed to his charge of $150. I learned that this was the implant done at Universal Dentistry and decided to call and request reimbursement. Their office manager Kim answered the phone. When I explained what happened and told her that my dentist felt the problem resulted from the screw not being fully placed and that I was requesting the $150 charge be reimbursed. She became angry telling me I should have returned to them and they would have taken care of it without any charge. With that unsatisfactory initial call I went up the Universal chain and ultimately I spoke to their operations manager Greg. He denied reimbursement stating I should have driven back to the Turnersville office where there would not have been a charge. I explained that the thought of a 45 minute drive feeling as bad as the gum was in hopes of being seen and not even being sure that the implant was done there was out of the question. I would not be irate if they apologized and reimbursed me but since it was pure arrogance. Since they were totally antagonistic the best thing I can do is warn others that might be thinking of using their services. Beware!! read more

I had a lump above my tooth. They my did a root canal, then a cap. Went back a few months later because I STILL had that lump on my gum. They told me they root canaled the WRONG TOOTH!! So they root canaled The tooth next to it. Two years later I STILL have the abscess there and now there's PAIN which obviously tells me they STILL did something WRONG. I said I'd like to have veneers on my front teeth because of a bonded tooth, I couldn't have them whitened. They wisked me back in the chair. They started working on my teeth and I fell asleep. I woke up and looked in the mirror and they grinded all of my front teeth down to POINTS!!! I started screaming and Dr. Dutten told her assistant to get the Mirror away from me. They put caps on my front teeth ( that had NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM!!). I started crying and her reply was, "I told you we don't do veneers here". $5,000 later.... read more

Never had an experience like this one, first they close the office for the day and never give me any notice. I have to find out by showing up! Then I was told I need an x-ray, I refuse but they insist and after they take it tell me, by the way that was 50$ then proceed to tell me that I will also have to pay 79$ for a little bit of glue to put my crown back on. I would not recommend this place to anyone ever. I had 2 visits and knew I would never go back. The first visit was for a consultation and they charged me $50 for x-rays. I sat in the waiting for almost 2 hours. People were actually sitting on the floor because there were no seats left. The second visit was for a cleaning - they charged me $200 and I was only in the dental chair for about 15 minutes. Then they coded the procedure as a "full mouth debridement" which my insurance company did not cover. I asked for a corrected statement and they never sent it. When I spoke to the office manager and told her I was not coming back her whole demeanor changed and she said "Well, you gotta do what you gotta do." I never received the corrected statement. WORST/NOTHING BUT LIES LIES LIES ***STAY AWAY**** I had a horrible experience, plus very unfriendly people. I don't think any of the people working there have a license to practice. My first visit was horrible I wish I went to my original dentist. But though this would be more responsible, since I was on disability. None of the women that worked on my mouth had any nameplates. You had to ask their name, so Sarah was the first one I saw. She did an impression and then said it would be $1,000 for each plate. I only want the bottom, she insisted I needed both for the plates to be even. My Dentist would have never done that. I have been getting plates since I was 25 (when I started losing my teeth from a pregnancy). So I know I can only get one at a time. Also, I know how the plates are supposed to fit from experience. Don't ask me why I let them finish making the plates. I am a very anxious and stressed person, especially with dentists. So after I tell Sarah I cannot afford the plates. The advertisement on TV said plates start at $399. She said no that is only for certain ones. The plates you need will be $1,000 each. So there were supposed to be 3 visits at no charge. I have a lot more to say but to make this sorter. I had about 8 visits, I saw Sarah, Danielle, Ashley, and Amy. They were very nasty with me, made me feel uncomfortable. After making me sign the papers. Because she said well do you want to be able to eat or smile. So I waited for the plates to come in and the office that makes the plates. Well, they do not know what they are doing. I never saw plates made where there is no space to place them in your mouth until they use the instrument to make a space. UNREAL THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE. Today I still cannot wear the bottom plate without it cutting into my gum. I paid $2,000 for two plates that are horrible and cannot eat right with them. So the whole experience was horrible. All the people were nasty not one nice person in the office. Never got to see the Doctor even when I made an appointment for $50.00 like they said I had to. When I got to my appointment with Dr. Meier. Ashley took me back and I asked for Dr. Meier, she said she is not in today. I have an appointment with her. Ashley said No you have an appointment with me. Liar Liar Liar. All they do is Lie. I could go on and on. I have four pages that I wrote from the day I started to the end on who I saw and what happened. I went to the one in Cherry Hill N.J. Every time I see or hear that CEO on ABC commercial I can scream. I want to call ABC and tell them to cancel the commercial it is a SCAM. So I ended up paying $2,000 for teeth I cannot wear. So I had some MAJOR dental work done at this office, now I am going to preface THIS review with the fact that I AM a difficult pain in the ass patient and this was work with MANY stages, done over a years time. My wife went there and wasn't sure if they were in her insurance network of providers. They told her yes and she had some root canals done. Later on they sent us a bill for $1,800 saying our insurance wouldn't cover the bill. My wife called her insurance company and they told her University Dentistry is not in her network! This place is horrible. First I go in 9 months ago to see about a problem I am having with a bridge they put in my mouth 6 years ago and they tell me the whole bridge has to come out and the tooth that is holding the bridge is decayed. Then a few minutes later they come up with a bill of 4500. Then I go to my dentist for a 2nd opinion and he tells he does not know why UD put the bridge over the tooth in the first place. Unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover cosmetic surgery so I go back to this place after a few months. I am told when I make the appointment that since I was coming in to discuss getting the procedure done that was discussed last visit there would be no cost just set up treatment-lie They took more xrays and then come to me with a bill of 8700 almost double of what originally stated. Why would more work need to be done when nothing has changed? Then they tell me their prices went up. I felt like I was buying a car not having dental work as the doctor left the room and had his assistant go over everything. No thanks! Went to the office in Willow Grove. What a mistake. A Dr. Rosen advised me to have all my teeth removed. I went in for a chip front tooth. I trusted them in that they would take proper care of me. They ruined my mouth by leaving shars of teeth that they were to suppose to have removed. 7 pieces of teeth were left in. I told them that I still felt sharp pieces in my mouth. Don`t worry we will remove them. Went back two weeks later for check up and reminded them of the pieces still in my mouth. We will get them out later he said. Went back 2 months later for permanent dentures and the Dr.Rosen retired and I was seen by a new Dr, Spoke to her and reminded them that I still had sharp pieces left in my mouth. They wanted more money to remove them. I said I payed already. They took more X rays and said I had to go to an oral surgeon to have them removed and that they have one for me to go to. I said no. I will go to my own oral surgeon. Told them I was not happy at all ,as I got up from the chair I asked for my permanent dentures. They said 3 months to heal and 3 months to have them made. Again I said I was not happy. One tec said "you know once you have dentures you have to cut up all your food." I said WHAT! that's not true. I should be able to bite and chew normally. Out of the corner of me eye I seen someone waving their hands and the girl quickly got up and left. I left the office after complaining how poorly I was taken care of and how they handled this whole mess. Got an appointment with an oral surgeon and he told me they left pieces of teeth from the ones they pulled. He had to recut my gum and remove them or no dentures could be used properly. Cost was extra $2400.00 on top of what I payed Universal Dentistry. Now maybe the Willow Grove office is run differently than the rest. I called Pa.atty. general and filed a complaint along with pic of x rays and pic of the 7 shars they left in my mouth. Also lodge a complaint with BBB. I heard my oral surgeon say to his assistant on how the other dentist really tried to hid this mess. People PLEASE QUESTION EVERYTHING an go with your gut feeling. Again this was Willow Grove office. I visited the office in cherry hill and I gotta say if you don't have thousands of dollars to pay for dental work, don't border going, they offer low prices in the TV adds but prices are much higher when they give you the quote. I had to pay 145 for the consultation for nothing cause when they gave me the total for a two theeth work was 10,000 wich for me is out of my reach. Gotta say that the staff was very friendly. I have been a client of these for five years, Only had my teeth cleaned. I had a cap come off. Called and made an appointment. I was greeted with " we will be with you shortly". One hour later I was in the chair. Gave my cap to the technician. She then went up front and came back with the bill to be paid before the work. First charge was an oral oval evaluation for $69.00. Second was $79.00 to put the tooth back in. I said I will pay for the tooth but not the oral evaluation. she went up front and back came the billing lady. Sorry but that is our charges. The Springfield office, the staff was polite, however, the doctor was rude. I was asking a question and he walked out and didn't acknowledge me. The cost that was listed on the internet was no way the price quoted in the office. I think that the Springfield office was very misleading in their prices. Also, the doctor was rude. I was looking for a dentist for some cosmetic dental work for my husband , I called and ask if the exam snd consultation was no cost and was told yes and i ask if they accepted my dental insurance and that answer was yes also so i made an appointment. My husband and I went in for appt. and were told in the first few minutes even before the doctor came in that xrays have to be taken and that will cost 140. Dollars . I replied no we are here for exam and a consult to find out the cost of what we need done first and said that xrays are required and we have to pay today and we could then put it into our insurance to be reimbursed. Second, I had my bottom teeth removed and two were removed surgically and stitches were not given to me!! I recently went in for a "free" consultation. While sitting in the reception area I could hear how unprofessional the staff was before I even was taken back. The front desk person, Kim, was using profanity and making fun of a patient that had just left. I could clearly hear the "F" word used several times. I waited a long time before I was finally brought back by the male worker who the front desk woman was speaking with for an extended period of time and having an inappropriate conversation. I started to feel uncomfortable thinking what would these two employees say about me when I left. The male assistant seemed like he was bothered and I was keeping him from something. He kept looking at his cell phone every chance he got. I felt very uncomfortable. He then left me with a volunteer who had no idea what she was doing. I am not sure what kind of staff sits and lets people wait while they bash clients. The doctor was a very sweet woman. I had a dental emergency and could not get an appointment for immediate relief anywhere. I came across Universal Dentistry from another dentist office. They could see me right away. I went with very low expectations, it was to say the least - a dentist office in a strip mall. Boy was I wrong. The facility was clean, the service was excellent and the pricing was VERY reasonable. Dr. Dutton was amazing. She was happy and positive and made everything about having 2 teeth extracted better than okay. I will return to this office and will take my son as well. read more

A REAL JOKE!!! advertisments look so inexpensive but what they charged me was more then a oral surgeon would have!! i brough all the ex rays with me for a tooth extraction and the doctor opened my mouth looked at the tooth and when i questioned the charge of $68, i was told that was for her exam! I said what exam, she only looked in my mouth. i called before i went and asked what the price would be for a tooth extraction and was told between $128-$285 and was charged $465. The oral surgeon only wanted only $425. There commercials should be banned as they are only a come on for this company!! One more thing, i ended up with dry socket, which i may add that i had to go to my local dentist and when i told them about what i went through they could not believe it either, do not believe that they are so cheap as their commercials say, they are just a ripoff company!!
