Free parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast included. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Room was quiet - didn't hear the freeway noise nor doors closing. Bathroom was well equipped. Water pressure was decent and the temperature was nice and hot. As a Bonvoy member, free WIFI. Almost forgot to include that. I stayed at a different spot on a different trip and was charged - figured I'd mention this. Don't know the layouts of the other rooms but I chose a room with two queen size beds. Room was so spacious I didn't even touch the second bed. There's a small pool - didn't try it. I was there to work.

I used Hotels.com and being a loyal Marriott member, selected Fairfield by Marriott and made a reservation. Literally (and I mean literally) a minute later I realized that because it was after 1am the reservation was made for *that* evening (ie more than 12 hours later) not for a quick 5-6 hour stopover. I tried to change the reservation but it cancelled instead despite already charging me the full $190. Even worse, when we walked into the hotel to try and fix the situation on the spot, we were told the hotel was completely sold out. I contacted Hotels.com, they were fantastic and responsive but let me know getting a refund would could only be approved directly by the manager of the property. They reached out on my behalf and apparently this property owner couldn't have cared less and refused to refund even a portion of the amount. A costly 2-minute mistake on my part and easy money for no effort on the part of the property owner here. We were so aggravated that we decided to go ahead and drive through. I doubt the owner will ever see this review or if they do, will likely not care, but greediness and a lack of empathy has a way of circling back. There are a lot of other hotels in the area - choose another one rather than this one.

I was lying in bed after 10:00 p.m. listening to hotel guests talking and the floor bumps and rumble and the squealing of kids with loud adult voices. During the night, facing the convenience store / gas station I was awakened at 3:15 a.m. by the bang of a dumpster being slammed down, then the angry beeping of the truck. The area has a passenger train line close enough that you can hear the blast of the train horns. In the next hour or so, two passenger trains are blowing their horns at a crossing. It took me a couple of hours to get back to sleep. The hotel staff does slide the bill under your door (or tries to) and that is an annoyance that we can live without if we have email / text message options. The breakfast was good and standard stuff, egg and cheese omelet, biscuits and gravy, pancake machine and sweet pastries. Bring your earplugs and don't expect a great night's sleep.

The lady at front desk was polite and helpful. She recommended the pizza place Romano Italian bistro. In addition to the pickup and delivery they also have a sit down restaurant 10 minutes from hotel. Good pizza. The room was a king with sleeper sofa. The bed was comfortable and clean. The couch in the room had a tear in the arm. But mattress in fold out was very nice. My son didn't complain. I am of a mind that all hotels need to do away with carpet for sanitary reasons. This room had a place on carpet that needed cleaning. I thru a towel over it. The bathroom showed lots of sadly repaired water damage from, I am sure, the currently leaking shower head. The shower was very hard to turn on and you could not turn it hard enough off to stop the dripping. Experienced maintenance man could have fixed that. Or call a plumber. Ice machines are out of order. I sent my son on a quest for a cup of ice. Extra points if he came back with both cups full. Second floor only ice working. The bathroom in lobby is out of order. The sitting room for breakfast could use some much needed upgrade. Chairs were filthy looking. Vinyl would be their friend. The pool was closed due to noncompliance by health department. Again sad. Upkeep is not this Hampton's priority. Employees were friendly and helpful with everything we needed.

The complimentary breakfast had a great variety of food, and the dinner was delicious. They also offered popcorn and drinks, which was a nice bonus. The pool and hot tub were clean, and every staff member I encountered was extremely nice. My only small issue was with breakfast. Being military, sometimes I have to report to work around 4-5 AM and need to grab breakfast to eat on the way. When I asked one employee for a to-go container, her response came across a little snobby NO. Thankfully, another gentleman overheard and kindly provided me with containers. I really appreciated him and wish I had gotten his name! Other than that one interaction, I had everything I needed and truly enjoyed my stay. I would absolutely stay at Drury Inn again anytime!

A big bonus was the morning breakfast and evening happy hour with complimentary drinks, including a free cocktail, which was a really nice touch after a day out. The gym was also perfect for what we needed, just enough equipment to get a solid workout in each day. The location was convenient, close enough to downtown Savannah while still being quiet and easy to access. Overall, we highly recommend staying here, and it's a great option for anyone traveling with dogs since they are pet friendly.

The level of service truly stands out and makes you feel well taken care of every time. Even though the hotel is located in Port Wentworth, downtown Savannah is less than a 10-minute drive, making it a very convenient and worthwhile option. Another plus is that there are several restaurants within walking distance, as well as a Food Lion nearby, which is always convenient. Overall, this is a great hotel with consistently excellent service and a reliable, comfortable stay. We've had nothing but positive experiences and would absolutely recommend it.

Shortly after checking in, we discovered multiple bugs in our room. The final straw was waking up to a bug crawling on me while I was in bed. At that point, there was no chance I was putting my family back to sleep in that hotel. We documented the bugs with photographs and reported the problem to the hotel that night. The hotel offered to move us to another room, but after finding multiple bugs and having one actually crawl on me in bed, we had completely lost confidence in the cleanliness and pest control of the property. Moving our family and belongings to another room in the same building was not an acceptable solution to us. We left after approximately two hours rather than spend the night. What made an already awful experience worse was what happened afterward. We requested a refund, and the hotel refused. We then contacted Hotels.com, which also refused because the property had offered us another room and the hotel's policy was not to issue a refund. So, to summarize: we paid for a night's accommodation, encountered multiple bugs, had one crawl on me while I was sleeping, documented and reported the problem, left after about two hours--and still weren't refunded. I understand that problems can occasionally happen at any hotel. What separates a good hotel from a bad experience is how management responds when something goes seriously wrong. In our case, I found the response completely unacceptable. I have photographs and documentation of the insects and our report to the hotel. Based on our experience, I would never stay at this property again and would strongly encourage anyone considering it to read the negative reviews carefully before booking.
