    Free Continental breakfast!
    Lando T.

Pros: Continental breakfast, close to a shops and eateries, quiet, flat screen tv, comfy bed and clean. Cons: parking spaces are kinda tiny It's a nice place to stay. Just make sure not to keep your window open when you're out for the day. The bugs will find a way in. Nice staff.

Positives: *The staff was very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. *Clean hotel with spacious rooms. *Quiet area to stay in. Negatives: *Paid parking. I was not expecting to have to pay for parking here, it was just a standard lot for the hotel. I went back and looked at booking, and the parking fee is hidden in a drop down. So, if you don't select that drop down, you will never notice it until you arrive at the hotel. Just another way for them to add on additional fees at an already pricey hotel. *The bathroom tub did not have a plug to hold the water. May have just been our room, though. *Breakfast was not setup timely. We had an early flight, but thought we would grab a quick breakfast before heading out. The delay of setting up breakfast is not thinking about early travelers. Not a bad option for a hotel, but I would also look at alternatives.

Surrounded by stores, malls, outlets, it's a great location! When we arrived, no one was at the front desk for a good 5 minutes and then staff came out and was very pleasant. Checked in and had issues getting into our room but that was quickly resolved. At first glance, the room was great! We had the bunk beds and more than enough room for anyone! It was wonderful. After finally settling in, we noticed there were still some trash in the room, the couch had suspicious stains, leftover party decor, and it didn't feel clean at all. The tub's handle was barely hanging on and the ring had fallen down. It didn't feel nice but we got in late and were leaving early in the morning so we made do with our current situation. The ladder to the bunk beds are largely spaced so it's definitely not for small children but bigger kids. Beds seem comfy as we slept but were unsure of how clean they were since the room was already in a disarray. It seemed like they just made the beds and replaced the towels and forgot to clean. Overall, with breakfast, staff, location, and room; we were happy with our stay and would give them another chance. Maybe this was just a one off but we had a great time so we would come back and stay.

The place was safe, convenient to the interstate and an outlet mall, and a very good price. With all fees, it was $71.50 for a week night stay. This is best for someone who just needs to stay a night, two at most, and don't plan to stay in their room a lot. As for parking, the lot would be fine if everyone just had sedans. When I arrived there, a lot of people were overcompensating with huge pickups. So I ended up parking in a neighboring lot until a spot opened up. By the morning, there were plenty of open spots. One other thing I will mention as a negative is that the doors are a bit loud if you're a light sleeper. So keep that in mind when you're trying to make a decision. I will say that a was surprised that they actually had a continental style breakfast. It wasn't a whole lot - cereal and some bite sized cakes, but most places at this price point have at most stale coffee. Staff there seemed nice, no problems there. TLDR; it's an okay and safe place to grab a few hrs of sleep. Just keep your expectations low

A Wonderful Night (knowing the negatives before Check-in)…read more Looking for a nice place to have a private staycation with my sweetie (close to our home in Memphis). I've had people personally recommend this inn to me, so I've wanted to stay here for a long time. But true to some reviews, I had a hard time simply making a reservation! No answer & no return calls. I even drove down here one day. The owners were out "running an errand!" I did speak to some vacationing there. Really! Finally, after a long time, I made a reservation just after Xmas (their slow season). The owner was very specific with details over the phone, because NO ONE WOULD BE THERE (eg which room would be ours, rules, etc.) We arrived (as did one other couple later) but NO WORKERS on site. Kind of creepy. This B&B has the feel of an old plantation. It feels like I'm far out in the county, although it's just minutes from the malls in Southaven, MS. The first employee we saw was the following morning-a very nice lady in the kitchen (separate building) that was preparing breakfast for us. Pros: + Our "Roane Room" was really nice! + Huge Comfy Bed & Big Ottoman + Cozy Fireplace (Gas) + Big AirTub + Huge Country Breakfast made fresh for us + Beautiful old home, lake, etc. + Off-Season price was A GREAT DEAL (w Breakfast!) Cons: - No one there on off-season (literally) - No alcohol allowed (they said you have to buy from them, but no one there!) - No restaurant, snacks, drinks, etc (Bring everything you might need. Eat before you come.) - Bathroom was nice, but TOILET was in the TINIEST ROOM EVER! Just more room than the toilet itself! MY knees touched the door!!! - We could hear the other couple across the home (he serenaded his lady to country ballets). Actually, that was quite funny! The pictures on the website are accurate. I was prepared & brought everything needed. We would come back & recommend.

Stayed a night at the Bonne Terre Inn on Monday with my dad. We were looking for a quaint place to…read moresleep at while road tripping across the country but ended up being cat fished by this establishment. The photos online are beautiful but in person this place is horrific. We stayed in the Azalea and Wisteria rooms. When I first walked into the Azalea room i was met with a roach on the curtain, stains on the walls, another bug on the headboard, a decorative pillow that had half of it stained with red wine, and un-wiped tables/counter tops. We left for dinner and came back to find another huge roach in the corner of my dads room. I ended up peeling back all the beds sheets after having a hunch that the walls and carpet will probably reflect the state of the bed and oh boy was I right. My bed only had piss stains and a few hairs on the sheets. On the other hand my dads bed was piss covered. Multiple huge piss stains. We also saw a few blood stains, hairs from dark places, and wine stains. My dad called the receptionist and it went to voice mail. She then called back and we told her about the sheets and she replied, "Are you sure? those are new sheets." Its borderline belittling to be looking at heavily used sheets and have a woman who's not even in the room with you suggest that you're lying or blind. She then asked if we could check the other unlocked rooms. We only check one other room which was the Rowe room. This room was worse than both mine and my dads room combined. Yes there were lots of piss stains on the bed but I noticed a new substance I had not yet seen in the rooms we had. There was ejaculate everywhere. The bed, the chair in front of the bed, even parts of the god damn wall. The woman texted my dad apologizing and referred him to a hotel close by. He paid $260 for two FILTHY rooms. Luckily we brought our own sheets because we are taking extra precautions during this pandemic but if we didn't have them we would have definitely stayed at a different hotel. Dont stay here unless you don't mind snoozing on a urine soaked bed, having some insects as room mates, and sticky walls. The only positive thing about this place is the gray cat that followed me around while i packed my bags into the truck. I added all the photos where you could see the filth. Most of the photos/videos we took aren't the best quality because we have iphone 5's. PS I've come to the conclusion that everyone who has slept in this Inn had to have been plastered. I read a lot of reviews and none ever mentioned the hygienic state of this place. I would have to be wasted to not notice all of the grime in those rooms. Apparently a lot of people have weddings here? Could. not. be. me.

We booked three rooms, and all had a strong damp, musty odor. The only remotely fresh-smelling spot in the hotel was near the pool, thanks to the chlorine. My particular room had key card issues that couldn't be resolved despite multiple attempts by staff. No alternate rooms were available. While waiting for the young lady so I decided to leave to buy cleaning supplies and air fresheners just to tolerate the space. This experience did not meet even the most basic standards of hospitality. I hope management addresses these issues for future guests. Oh and since writing this review my tv doesn't work. A substantial mistake was made by your front desk staff, resulting in the dissatisfaction of a PAYING customer (THAT WOULD BE ME!!!) who has friends. Although I had already paid (MY card was charged) the clerk chose to refund a cancellation, contrary to the standard policy requiring 24 hours' advance notice for cancellations. Moreover, I was incorrectly asked to vacate the premises without having requested the cancellation. While I am impartial to whether others choose to patronize your business, I am resolute in my decision not to return. Apparently early check-in is available for a fee (unheard of for any other facility I have stayed in---the fee part). I requested early check in and was willing to pay that ridiculous fee. Since early check in has never, EVER been a concern for me in the past AND I never received any notification that early check-in wasn't available ...I didn't see a concern. HOWEVER, my request wasn't even considered, YET my credit card information was used to pay for the room. Might I add the original reservation was under a different credit card; however due to sickness, the original reservation had to be changed. I would think that any one who has been on the road for over 5 hours would be a bit upset that an abrupt "check in is 3:00" was not waived. We were stared at for over an hour until your clerk finally decided we weren't leaving (we had no where to go) and found us a room. I matter-of- factly said I'm not paying any fee for early check-in, and I guess she felt threatened and cancelled us. Since we were in hotel alley, your neighbor hotel next door gladly accepted us; giving us a suite upgrade for the exact same price we would have paid for your lousy customer service (remember first impressions are everlasting). Oh, and no fee for early check-in. Exploring alternative options can sometimes yield more desirable outcomes. So you can tell your nasty tempered desk clerk that she made a mistake, that she needs to know your policies and that you all will never see my family or friends stay at your La Quinta. Or any other La Quinta. In conclusion, I guess you all did me a favor. Thank you.
