Reasonably quiet. Good bathroom shower water pressure! Breakfast is pretty standard for those ready to get going in the AM. There was an elevator breakdown, so we had to climb to the 4th floor - not terrible. Not great either. The cleaning staff ALSO had to hump their supplies up and down the stair case which surprised the heck out of me. Only 1 elevator bank? No "service elevator"? Hmmmmm. The elevator was fixed same day, so a minor setback for us. I'd stay there next time I'm in Memphis.

I'm most upset with the fact that they let me book with them knowing the power was out. I guess they thought they would have had the issue resolved. Able to walk to Sun Studio 0.8 mile away, Charlie Vergoss Rendezvous (but there's better food to be had than there), Peabody Hotel is a block away. One downside: Lyft drivers seemed confused about where to drop off or pick up, usually stopping on the other side of Peabody Place. The back courtyard entrance of the hotel, near the parking garage, is somewhat hidden even when I gave the Lyft drivers directions. Clean - including the top of the shower curtain railing, I checked. Housekeeping - didn't need cleaning or bedding changing, just a change of towels. The young housekeeping black man(forgot his name) was very personable and accommodating. Breakfast buffet - the two women worked hard, constantly keeping the area clean and tidy, having food out, and taking our plates away when done. Standard fare - eggs (omelet or scrambled), sausage links or patties, potatoes, do it yourself waffles, oatmeal, breads, yogurt, coffee & tea & juice. Fruit was not ripe. Room- the *best shower water pressure* I've ever felt! A night light was in the bathroom, a considerate feature when the room lights are off. Above the center night stand, the electrical outlet on the left needed occasional jiggling to maintain a connection, I forgot to tell the front desk about this. Mattress and pillows were comfortable. A/C worked well. One con: inquired about late checkout as a Hilton Honors member and was told it was not possible. That's the first time I was ever told that.

It benefits from a great location being within steps of Beale Street, and both Grizzlies and Redbirds games! It's also quiet on the upper floors, and the breakfast is spectacular as always. Parking will set you back $26 every 24 hours and an additional hourly charge for staying past 1:00 p.m. the following day. So yeah, you pay for the location. It's not a great bargain for the price. But it's good enough if you want to stay in the heart of Memphis. The music from Beale Street is loud throughout the night, but the hotel is kind enough to provide earplugs in your room. That leaky toilet will keep you up all night, though! And the outlets are so stripped, you'll get an unpleasant surprise in the morning when you realize your devices haven't recharged!! That was the worst aspect of this hotel!!

My recent stay at Courtyard Memphis Downtown was nothing short of excellent, and it easily exceeded…read moremy expectations in several areas. First and foremost, cleanliness stood out immediately. The entire property, from the lobby to the rooms was well-maintained and spotless. I don't do shower curtains at all, one my personal highlights of the room was the walk-in shower. That may seem like a small detail, but it made a big difference in terms of my comfort and convenience. Another pleasant surprise was the affordability. For a downtown location, especially in a city like Memphis, the pricing was more than reasonable. The staff deserves special recognition. Everyone I encountered was extremely accommodating, professional, and genuinely helpful. Whether it was answering questions or assisting with requests, they made the experience smooth and stress-free. Also, the hotel was impressively quiet. I had absolutely no issues with noise. I honestly had no issues during my stay at all, which speaks volumes. Everything ran efficiently, and the overall experience felt seamless. If I had one small critique, it would be the lack of dedicated on-site parking. However, the valet system more than made up for it. It was probably the best valet experience I've had...fast, organized, and hassle-free. Outside of The Peabody Memphis, this is the only place I'll stay when visiting downtown Memphis. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and quality service.

I called the hotel directly, spoke to a staff member (Puvi or Pruvi), and was told I had to cancel through Expedia, which I did immediately. Despite canceling in good faith and never using the room, the hotel refused the refund. Worse, the front desk staff was evasive, refused to give his name at first, and then asked for my name so he could "report me" -- even though he already had my info and I was respectful the entire time. I've filed formal complaints with both Choice Hotels and Expedia. This experience was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I would not recommend this location based on how poorly I was treated while trying to handle a simple cancellation properly and politely.

Although I didn't use the kitchen, I noticed it was clean, organized, and appeared well-stocked. The breakfast was nothing special, but that didn't bother me because the hotel is conveniently located near many great restaurants. Even though Beale Street is just around the corner, the hotel was surprisingly quiet. I stayed on the first floor and had no issues with noise. Overall, it was a comfortable, clean, and welcoming place to stay, and I would gladly return.

A Complete Failure at Every Turn | Home2 Suites by Hilton Memphis Downtown…read more I write reviews to help fellow travelers make informed decisions and to encourage hotels to make meaningful improvements. This experience was so consistently poor across every single touchpoint that other families deserve fair warning before booking -- and this property deserves the opportunity to make serious changes. We are a family of four traveling with two children and a registered ADA service animal. We chose this property specifically because we trust the Hilton brand to deliver reliability and comfort. This hotel delivered neither. CHECK-IN -- 3 HOUR DELAY, NO MANAGER Our confirmed check-in time was 4:00 PM. We arrived at 6:00 PM -- already two hours late -- and our room still wasn't ready. We were not given our room until 7:00 PM. Three full hours past the guaranteed check-in time. There was no manager on duty. The front desk staff had no information, no estimated wait time, and no solutions to offer. We stood in a crowded, chaotic lobby with two exhausted children and a service animal after a long day of travel. At no point did any staff member proactively communicate with us, apologize, or attempt to help us in any meaningful way. HILTON CUSTOMER SUPPORT -- 40 MINUTES, ZERO RESULTS While waiting in the lobby, I called Hilton Customer Support. I spent over 40 minutes on the phone. The only thing they were able to do was call the front desk -- the same front desk that had already failed us. They had no escalation path, no authority to help, and no solutions. I hung up in frustration after wasting 40 minutes going in circles. I was failed by the property AND by Hilton's own support line on the same night. BREAKFAST -- EMPTY AT 9:30 AM, STILL 30 MIN BEFORE CLOSING We arrived at breakfast at 9:30 AM -- a full 30 minutes before the advertised 10:00 AM closing time. There was barely any food left. We were told they were out of eggs, the warming equipment wasn't working, and nothing more could be prepared. We were told they begin shutting down 30 minutes before closing. This is completely unacceptable. Most hotel guests arrive at breakfast in the final stretch of service -- that is not a surprise, it's predictable. In nearly 20 years of Hilton stays across the country, I have never walked into a hotel breakfast that had nothing left to offer 30 minutes before it closed. The effort was simply not made. LATE CHECKOUT -- DENIED DESPITE 3-HOUR CHECK-IN DELAY Because our room wasn't ready until 7:00 PM the night before, we had to reschedule a tour we had planned for the evening of check-in. We asked for a modest late checkout to accommodate the tour the following morning -- a direct consequence of the hotel's own failure to have our room ready. We were told that nothing past noon was possible under any circumstances. No acknowledgment of the connection between their failure the night before and our request. No goodwill. No accommodation. Nothing. STAFF ATTITUDE -- INDIFFERENT ACROSS THE BOARD The overall attitude of the staff was one of complete indifference from check-in to checkout. I came away from this stay feeling that my dog received more consideration than my children and I did. That says everything. This property is a poor representation of the Hilton brand and the standards loyal Hilton Honors members expect. I have filed a formal complaint with Hilton corporate and I am requesting a full refund for this stay. I would strongly encourage families -- especially those traveling with children and service animals -- to look elsewhere when visiting Memphis. My husband and I spent a few nights here during Elvis Week, and had a wonderful time! I love that they made it special for Elvis Week. One of the employees offered to take a photo of us with them and handed us some leis to make it more festive. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful. They were also wearing Elvis shirts which made us smile. We were missing the midnight snack tradition from the Guest House, but were able to create our own because they offer Uncrustables and Nesquik for purchase in the lobby. The parking lot and pet relief areas were well lit. The room was decent. The set-up was a bit weird. The sink was out in the front of the room as you walk in, and then the bathroom (toilet and shower) were a boxed room in the center of the room. The door to the bathroom was on the side of the bedroom and you had to keep the door shut if you wanted to watch television. You had to walk around the bathroom wall and across the room to wash your hands and use the sink. It was extremely odd. You would think at least that the door would be on the opposite side and lead out to the separate sink. The hotel was busy and the volume of people was loud.
