I attended my niece's baby shower over the weekend. When I walked into the venue, the first thing I noticed was the beautiful layout of food for the guests. The selection was very diverse with gyoza, cucumber salad, hush puppies, jerk chicken skewers, shrimp po boy sandwiches, caprese croissant sandwiches and some other tasty foods. The amount of food was more than ample and the flavors were outstanding. As we were leaving, I saw the cater come in and efficiently take down the beautiful presentation and package up the remaining food. Quick and efficient. Not impressed. Food was bland. A taco bar that consists of more than likely prepackaged food that was just dumped into pans. Nothing tasted homemade or fresh. Lettuce was brown. Churros were very soggy. Taco meat was burnt and not greatly seasoned. And tortilla wraps were still cold. read more

On December 6th DayoSense catered one of our Zillow company holiday parties. I cannot say enough about Dayo and Dayosense! First of all, her professionalism and the professionalism of her staff is something to be envied. She responded to our emails within hours and had proposals to us within a day or two. Unfortunately, due to a few unexpected issues on our end she had to redo her proposals numerous times. She responded with grace and kindness! Now lets talk about her food....OMG!!! Not only was everything picture perfect, every bite I took brought a little tear to my eye. While we requested enough food to feed an army, she managed to deliver every dish as if she were cooking for 5 people. Those desserts, I CAN'T EVEN! I would like a lifetime supply of her pecan and sweet potato pies. The catfish sandwiches made me do a little dance. Even the mixed nuts were good...I mean, really really good. Everything was delivered seamlessly. I didn't even see her or her staff during the event, food just appeared when it ran out. It was magical! So, if you can't tell by now I highly recommend DayoSense for your next wedding, company party, birthday, Sunday dinner, Bar Mitzvah, Tuesday night just because you like to eat all of the food. read more

DayoSense catering exceeded our expectations! We had a caterer cancel on us last minute for a 150 person event. Luckily Chef Dayo was there to save us. She provided an excellent menu that came in under budget. Her and her team were wonderful to work with. The staff were extremely professional and quick to adapt to our agenda as things changed throughout the two and half day event we hosted. And the food...wow, it was simply divine (and diverse). The one constant in our meeting was that everyone was complimenting the food - a mix of healthy and comfort food. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year because it's a holiday centered around good food and good company. For the past three years, InterVarsity Christian Fellowship has hosted a dinner to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday as a community of brothers and sisters. In past years, we had always opted to cook the food ourselves and, because of that, have missed out on spending time with our invited guests. So, this year, we decided to cater the event... and I'm so glad we did!!! From the initial menu proposal to the open communication and dialogue in planning venue visits and payment deadlines to the presentation and serving of the food on the day of the event, Dayo was such a pleasure to work with! Her 7 years of experience in the catering business made organizing a dinner for 130 people a piece of cake! Or, should I say, a piece of sweet potato pie? We were treated to this amazing food at a summer institute training for work. Everything was beautifully presented, the entire staff was warm, welcoming and professional!! And did I mention the delicious food? Jerked Chicken ( Jerked Tofu as well!) Red Beans and Rice, Sweet Potatoes, Fresh Greens, Coconut Corn Muffins. That was just lunch! DayoSense catered an event for our NPO last year and it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Chef Dayo was responsive by email and helped us create a menu according to our budget. On the day of the event, Chef Dayo and her team set up a beautiful display of the food and everything was DELICIOUS. Over a year later and I still think about her chicken! Our venue was a bit crammed for the number of people we had (around 600), but Chef Dayo and her team assessed the situation and set up the buffet tables to enable the best flow and the lines ran seamlessly. I've gone to DayoSense for 2 events: 1) a company happy hour for 150 people (appetizers and small bites) 2) a comforting family dinner for 50 people (full meal w/ dessert) I love working with them, firstly the food is fantastic and I've gotten items from the soul food menu each time. The food is always gone faster than I can take pictures of! Chef Dayo is really fast to get back to me, helps propose a menu within by budget while working around the dishes that I really want to have. This last event they were super gracious, and helped deliver and set up while pregnant, during a pandemic, when the ADA accessible ramp entrance was locked! So she is actually a hero, she always gets the food there (though lesson learned: always make sure the venue's ADA entrance is unlocked, sorry you had to do that chef!) If you are having a work event, or a family dinner or celebration I highly recommend. My coworkers loved the jerk meatballs and chicken and waffle pops. For the family dinner everything was a hit, and I was super grateful that there were filling vegetarian and vegan main dishes so there was something delicious for those who couldn't eat the chicken and catfish. read more

I had this food at a wedding and it was horrible. The food was served cold, under cooked and without flavor. If I could give a zero star review I would. This woman has a horrible attitude and she has no customer service skills. Her food is horrible. She doesn't present you with anything like the tastings. Her location of where she prepares the food in is a residential home turned into a "catering kitchen". The actual home inside is digusting, I wouldn't even feed my dog in these conditions. I have reported her to the Health Department & I will be making a report with the Attorney general. This woman shouldn't be allowed to run a catering business! Wow! What a beautiful presentation all the way through! I was extremely impressed with so many things! To name a few: * Organization-Traveling with closed bins is perfect for the discretion needed in a law firm as opposed to other caterers that come with carts stacked and wrapped haphazardly * Staff- the ladies came in, got it done and did an efficient, yet exquisite job. * Aesthetics- Cascading the food was both visually pleasing and creatively functional. No weak spots or eye sores; empty spaces filled beautifully with lots of room to serve food. The flowers were a nice touch! * Labeling-the food identifiers are so helpful, professionally done and well displayed. The best I have seen thus far. * Taste- everything was incredible! I absolutely adore Chef Dayo! She is so sweet and kind and was very accommodating with all of our questions and menu changes for our wedding catering. And her food is delicious! We didn't want to do standard wedding fare, and her southern/Caribbean food really hit the mark. The jerked tofu/chicken were fantastic, and the fried okra is to die for. I really wish she had a restaurant so that I could eat her food more often:) The only thing is that I wish her staff had made sure the groom and I had enough to eat before putting the food away and moving to the dessert course, but besides that everything was perfect and I would highly recommend her to others. read more

What great service and food! DayoSense catered a two lunches at our company office last week. All aspects from menu suggestions, booking the event, delivery and payment was stress free. We just needed the food delivered but the staff went above and beyond setting up the food and making sure we had everything we needed. The first day we had fresh fruit and assorted sandwiches and wraps, and it was wonderful the second day was a fajita buffet, absolutely GREAT!
