When I finally got to see NP I explained that Ive suffered with asthma my whole life. Trying to explain what my family doctor does for me I was prescribed an inadequate amount of meds for five days. Outstanding Surgeon and Exceptional Care…read more Dr. Maggie Smith, DPM at The Toledo Clinic is truly exceptional. She performed surgery for my Achilles tendon rupture, and from my very first appointment through recovery, I felt completely confident that I was in the best hands. Dr. Smith is highly skilled, thorough, and incredibly knowledgeable, but what truly sets her apart is her compassion and ability to explain everything clearly and patiently. She took the time to answer all my questions, eased my concerns, and made sure I understood every step of the process. The surgery went smoothly, my recovery has been excellent, and I credit that to her expertise and attention to detail. Her professionalism, calm demeanor, and genuine care made a difficult injury much easier to navigate. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Smith and her team and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone needing foot or ankle care--especially for complex injuries like an Achilles tendon rupture. She is an outstanding surgeon and an even better physician.

During our consultation she suggested an ultrasound to see how bad it was. I went back a few weeks later for a follow up on the other health issues, which I received no answers to, and asked about the ultrasound she had suggested. As she rushed me out of the office, her response was " An ultrasound would serve no purpose if it was not bad enough." About six months later I had no choice but to go to a gynecologist because of the pain. I had an ultrasound done and my reproductive system was covered with endometriosis, needles to say, I had to have a total hysterectomy. After my surgery I figured I would try another doctor with Springforest being Baldwin did nothing to help me. I had a consultation with Barry Conlan about my other health issues and he looked at me like was a crazy person who disgusted him. At that point I was done with this place. I ended up finding another doctor and come to find out the swelling was from constrictive pericarditis.

Lately I have had a decent nurse but I still feel uncomfortable going there plus I don't feel heard when I try talk to the doctor I get cut off or I get the blame instead of being heard he is a decent doctor and has been nice at this Clinic I recently remembered where I know him from I'm sure it's him and why I left pain management to start with and ended up going through this mess. I'm actually tired of going to hospitals and appointments just to feel more depressed but lately like I said the nurse I have lately has been great but I would not recommend to anyone else especially if they have disabilities or suffer from any ptsd. They are not trained for that or know how to act . They just don't only reason I'll give 4 stars is because the nurse I have has been great actually she deserves 5 stars but the place doesn't.

If you find yourself stuck at Flower hospital with a kidney stone on a holiday weekend and the…read moredoctor on call is unavailable so they have to keep you overnight and they have put you on a low fat and low sodium diet I highly recommend the Pot Roast and whipped potatoes. If you are unfamiliar with hospital food you may want to reconsider your preconceived notions. These whipped potatoes are very similar to mashed potatoes in that may have originated as a potato and serve delightfully as a no frills substitute, trust me you will wish you had more or something else. The Pot roast is very consistently cooked and brown and serves a a fat free protein that complements the whipped potatoes. With a bit a brown gravy you will have a beautiful rainbow of earth tones for your taste buds. To continue with our brown theme and also saving the best for last, I suggest dipping a chocolate chip cookie into the what has now become soft serve ice cream, it will soften up the cookie and create something like an MRE ice cream sandwich. You may think this might give you acid reflux, no worries they will prescribe something for that. Grapes. I also had grapes. Tomorrow I plan on trying the lamb stew with mint pesto
