Called daydid to help replace a small 36x36 window at my home. They sent me a quote for $875 and when I called to accept their proposal and ask more questions about the window type and specifications I was told by a woman named Elizabeth that I would not be able to put in a standard window as they quoted me and would require impact resistant glass at a much higher price. As someone who works for a government building department I immediately told her she was not correct. She responded by telling me I was wrong and she has been doing this for 15 years. When I called her back and cited her code section from the Florida building code chapter 7 that deals with alterations and exempts this in certain level 1 alterations I was told that if I did not like what they had to say I could take my business elsewhere. The funny thing is regardless of if my home did not meet this code exception which it did, the Florida building code also provides provisions for shutters to negate the need for impact windows. How a company that installs this many windows doesn't know this is beyond me. I hope this review can help some people who read it to avoid being misinformed by this company which provides misinformation and terrible customer service. read more

Please beware of hiring this company. They pretend they don't understand or speak English & will continue to make up several different quotes for the repair work. They even had to contact their office to ask one of the ladies (Owner Elizabeth) to translate what was being asked of them. When Elizabeth told myself & her crew how much the job should cost, the men still tried to over charge me by 2,473.00. When I tried calling back to the office, Elizabeth would no longer answer my phone calls. Needless to say, I had to involve the Sheriff's Department. read more

I called this company last Thursday or Friday thinking I needed to replace a 6-over-6 sash window. First impressive thing was the woman I spoke with said, after I explained the problem with the window, that I most likely only needed it repaired. If she had agreed with me on the replacement I wouldn't have known any better but she saved me a ton of money. But wait, there's more! She gave me a 2-hour window during which Harvey would be by to give an estimate on the repairs. Not only did Harvey honor the window, he showed up at the beginning of that window AND he called 30 minutes before he arrived. He came in and went directly to work on the window and was gone within a few minutes having explained the problem with the window, how they would repair it, and when I could expect them back. They haven't even repaired the window yet and I will already recommend this company to anyone who asks! Great job so far, Daydid! I'll update once the repairs are completed. read more

Very impressed. When I first moved to Miami, a couple of years ago, we had our first experience with Hurricane Irma, and we were out of town having made no preparations. Our building recommended another company, who told us they were too busy to come to us since we had not been regular customers. So then I googled and found Daydid. This was last minute and of course we were not their customers either. People on the phone, even though super busy with hurricane stuff, they set us up for a last minute appointment. And they came and they protected our house. So, guess what, since then, we have been their regular customers for maintenance etc. Now with the monster Hurricane Darian ahead of us, we have the misfortune again for being out of town, before announcements for preparations etc. Again, Daydid, came through. Last minute they went to our house. Communication too--EXCELLENT! The office staff who makes appointment excellent and the people who actually come to our home very responsive--since we are out town, calling us about when they will be there, any problems they find etc. Great company! read more

I would give a zero if I could. Ayleen came out to measure windows to quote for replacement. That appointment went smoothly but getting the quote was an entirely different situation. After a couple weeks went by, I tried to contact her by phone numerous times and by text with no response. She would not return my calls or messages even though reception told me she would. I finally received a response and a quote just shy of a month later and was aghast! Who pays over $12,000 to replace four windows??? The price was 3X that of a competitor. I called to point out the obvious error in price and spoke with Naomi who agreed it was obviously not correct and said she would have Ayleen look it over and send a new quote. I did not hear anything so I followed up with an email... still nothing. I called today, two weeks after receiving the quote and spoke with Naomi (Ayleen, once again, could not be reached) who told me Ayleen looked over the quote and she said it was correct. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RESPONSE. I would never use them based on her extreme lack of response alone. read more

Needed windows done within a time frame & they were able to accommodate. Daydid provided excellent service. The guys who came out were great & very professional. They even cleaned up after themselves. We will definitely be using them again. read more
