History
Established in 1996.
Glass Design was founded in 1996 by Don and Sandi Durden, who built it into a Southwest Florida institution for custom doors and designer glass. Today, the company is proudly second-generation: their daughter, Bonnie Doughty, has owned and led Glass Design as CEO since 2007, growing it to two showrooms, an in-house installation crew, and more than 10,500 homes served. What Don and Sandi started, and what Bonnie has carried forward for nearly two decades, is the belief that a door should make you feel something, not just function, and that the people who install it should be the same people who stand behind it. Thirty years later, that's still exactly how we do business.

Hi, I'm Bonnie,
I have owned and run Glass Design since 2007, following in my parents' footsteps after they founded this company in 1996. I grew up watching them build something out of nothing, and now I get to carry that forward with our own two showrooms and a team that still treats every home like it's the only one that matters.
What keeps me passionate about this work, almost twenty years in, is simple: a front door is the first thing people see when they come home, and I love that we get to be part of making that moment feel special. I also love that we do it honestly ... if a customer doesn't need a whole new door, we'll tell them so. That's not a sales tactic, it's just how we were raised to do business.
