    This is Stewie at daycare

I am obsessed with my dog! The # of people I would trust to watch him, is like 2. I needed to go back into the office a couple days a week, so, I decided to bring him to Day Hill Kennels for doggy daycare on those days. Best decision ever! His first day, I immediately felt comfortable when I dropped him off. Tyler assured Me he would have a great day, and he did. He absolutely LOVES going, he knows the second we turn onto to Addison Rd. exactly where we are going and when we pull into Day Hill Kennel, he is so excited and drags Me into the building. It makes Me so happy to know how much he loves going and that everyone there enjoys having him. I really couldn't say enough about all of the staff there, they are a wonderful group of people and I'm happy they are part of Stewie's days. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would!

We explored several doggie daycare facilities before landing on Bark Palace. After almost a year of…read moresending our pup here, we are certain we made the right choice. My wife, myself, and most importantly our dog love Bark Palace and their staff. Pros: - During our initial enrollment, our dog was primarily kept up front with the staff for several days as a trial run to ensure he was comfortable being with the other dogs - The back room has many different sections to separate different types of dogs, and includes access to an outside area. This was a big differentiator, as many of the other places we looked at seemed to indicate they'd drop our little guy in a big room with dogs of all different sizes and personalities. - They seem to be very flexible in terms of scheduling/timing. As long as we are somewhat "regulars," we don't need to notify them of which days our dog will be coming. They also have great hours for drop off (opening as early as 6:30 on most days) and pickup, and the few times we've boarded our dog, we've been able to pick him up on the weekends. - All of the folks working there have been great and seem to be true dog lovers, including the owners who are often times there working themselves. They also frequently post pictures and videos of the dogs playing. Cons: - Some of the people there are NY Giants fans. Our dog, Brady (named after the greatest), doesn't seem to mind too much, though.

I like the cameras they have in the front office, so you get to see what the dogs are doing in the back. The dog suites are spacious and well lit. I strongly recommend them!!!

People here have complained about the wait time and there is a reason for that wait time. Unlike other vets and animal hospitals, you will not be rushed. You are given the time needed to give your furbaby the best care possible. If it goes over the standard care time so be it. Yes others will wait but if the time comes that YOU need extra time with the vet, you will get the same excellent treatment and the time needed for your pet to be best cared for. It amazes me these days how people don't notice when there is not a revolving door for patients. He is accepting patients on and off over the year as people move etc. You'll still want to give them a call either way. If you have a question, Doctor Pennington will call you back during his phone "call back" times which is usually after 5pm est. The staff are very knowledgeable and will usually know whether or not your question can be answered over a phone call or if your furbaby would need to be seen. They have been working at the office for a very long time and if for some reason they don't know, they will check with the doctor. Regardless of how we feel about it, sometimes the questions can only be answered with the pet present and an appointment is needed. He's not going to just tell you what you want to hear. As for cost, he is actually very good for this area. And if you have a budget you need to let the staff know. They will work with you to keep within your budget and get the best care for your pet. There are almost always medication and treatment options!

The Doc is a great man he is very caring about animals, BUT, getting back to the quote for what you want done. The last visit was $300, I ended up paying for Blood work test's that is NOT what is required in the state, there is another shot that is not required it is a shot for Lyme Disease. My dog is in the house 90 % of the time, she only goes outside for her Bathroom issues, and walks down the sidewalks. I will be requesting the Rabies shot only going forward. Like I said the Doctor is a very nice man and he knows animals, but buyer be aware of unnecessary charges.

I was looking to get away for a long weekend without burdening a friend and asking someone to stop…read moreby and feed and walk my dog (Bailey) 3 times a day when my mom had an idea. My mother has had Linda take care of her cat at home for over eight years, whenever my mother is out of town for more than a day. Linda was recommended by a Glastonbury veterinarian and has had a key to mom's house, watered plants, taken in mail and newspapers, lets the cat in and out, and of course feeds him and checks the litter box for a per visit fee. My mom noticed that Linda's website said she now boards some dogs in her home for a daily (or half-day, if that's all you need) rate. My mom got me in touch with Linda who requested I bring my little chihuahua over several days before my trip so that they could meet and I could see the arrangements and make sure I didn't have any concerns or questions left unanswered. Linda has a great big fenced in yard for the dogs to play and exercise in, and lots of crates, gates and blankets so that all you need to provide is food (and treats if you'd like). Everything went well, the three other dogs that were at the house when I arrived (only one lives there) were all let outside so that Bailey could walk in and get comfortable without the distraction of the other dogs wanting to play. I also completed a form while visiting about things such as what kind of food I use, how much food and exercise Bailey gets daily, and who the vet is and if certain vaccines were up to date. I warned that Bailey has refused to eat once or twice when I was gone and Linda said she's dealt with similar situations before and has always found a way to get them to eat, even if it means cooking them eggs (right, she also asked about any food allergies in case it came to that)! Well I went on my trip and got a picture of Bailey texted to me the next day, then another picture her second day there of Bailey stretched out on Linda's lap outside enjoying the fire pit (the same way Bailey lays on my lap nightly on the couch). I texted at one point to make sure Bailey was eating and Linda said she did have to hand-feed her sometimes but she did get her to eat (and she was fed away from the other dogs, in her own space). It was a great experience and I will definitely be using this service again and recommend it for anyone that needs their dog boarded. Also, keep in mind that other places that board dogs (in kennels) are businesses with employees that leave early in the evening and don't return until morning, so there could be 12 (YES TWELVE) consecutive hours that no one is there to let the animals out to relieve themselves, that is not the kind of attention, or lack thereof, the animals receive in Linda's home where people are there throughout the night. Linda and Jack were great and you can tell they truly are animal lovers.

They have webcams that allow you to watch your dog either outside or inside the communal areas. I kind of wish they had individual camper cabin cams, but that would be unrealistic, I know. Most importantly, they seem to really care about making sure the dogs are comfortable and happy. When our holiday trip out of town got extended by a few days because of cancelled flights they were accommodating. The last day he was there he was starting to get a little antsy and irritated, so they called me and let me know they would give him more alone time in his cabin. They did want me to consider having our emergency contact come pick him up, but they were able to hold off until we got back, which I appreciated. My dog (an adopted Lhasa Apso) doesn't really do good with other dogs or people, but he seemed really chill while he was there. The dogs hang out in their cabins for a couple hours around noon, but otherwise are on camera most of the day. It made it a million times easier to be away when I could check on him. Also, the first day you visit for an interview is a free day of dog sitting! They just want you to be gone for at least a few hours to check how the dog handles it.

During that time, I heard great things about your care and saw many satisfied customers--so I was disappointed to leave without my pet receiving treatment. The staff eventually explained that more urgent cases were triaged ahead of us, which I respect, but I wish this had been communicated more clearly upfront. Being told repeatedly that "you're one of the next ones" gave me false hope. In the end, I had my dog fully treated the next day at our regular vet--for close to the same cost as your base visit fee. Your 24-hour clinic is clearly a valuable resource for true emergencies, but I suggest being more transparent about wait times and triage policies to help others make informed choices about whether or not they should try to be seen.
