The office staff helped us find a solution and kept us posted with updates about his arrival, complete with phonecalls when Jeff was 15min away. Jeff made sure we got to the car safely and then drove both us and the car all the way down the coast to a shop that could get us back on the road before the holiday weekend. I drove my low-based car through a big rock on the Sechelt highway (it was in the middle of the lane, couldn't avoid it in time), and pieces of the engine cover came loose -- we ripped off a couple pieces on the road, but I wanted to get it checked to make sure nothing major was amiss. The lady told me they didn't have any available appointments (I got there around 12:30 and they close at 2pm) but asked Trevor to take a quick test drive for me. He did that, but he also went ahead to lift my car, remove leftover pieces, and advise me that a replacement cover is not necessary. And after those 10-15 minutes of work, they didn't even charge me!

Imagine if you will, driving your vehicle into a shop, knowing that the only thing needed to be…read morefixed was a wire end connection, that broke the positive wire free from the starter, everything else running perfectly fine, to hearing back from the shop that after they had fixed the wire, that now not only will your vehicle not start, but in trying to start it it makes a terrible grinding noise. Starter motor now obviously has a new problem. After poor treatment from shop staff, paying $150 for the wiring fix, and no information given as to how the vehicle you drove in, now needs to be towed to be moved, you tow it to a friends shop to find out the cause. In examining you find that not only did they do a shotty job on the connection fix, but they had obviously taken out the starter motor to make room to do the fix, and most likely dropped the starter motor in process, because the nose cone of the starter was broken, and the broken off piece was just dropped inside the transmission casing, hence the terrible sound. The shop took no responsibility for their f' up, even knowing that the starter was new, and still under warranty. Welcome to SK Auto! I have never had worse treatment or service in my life, and can not worn enough people to STAY AWAY FROM THESE SHYSTERS!!!!!!!

Disgusting POS LIAR!!!! Claimed he got that seat detailed in less than an hour. Never knew of detailing anywhere that took less than several hours just to get the vehicle into the shop without an appointment, much less get it done in less than an hour. And he overcharges as well!!!! $165 just to get my car not even a mile to my house??? Plus, he can't take debit or credit!! If you don't have cash (which, WHO carries cash these days?), you're SOL.And he'll abandon you, even if you're handicapped. Seriously, call Mid-Island Towing instead. After months of recovery in the Nanaimo hospital, he denied the owner access to his vehicle to pick up a few of his personal belongings, his identification and his cellular phone to contact his loved ones and and to help social services and housing secure a new residence at a seniors facility, not much to ask. The guy was hanging up on Hospital staff trying to help the gentlemen get back on his feet and tried charging this disabled gentlemen an outrageous impound fee refusing him access to his personal belongings until he paid. The guy even had the nerve to brag on the phone about how many vehicles he impounds all year long, signs them over to his wife and lets his wife drive them around town. What a piece of work this guy and his wife must be an absolute disgrace to society. I dont recommend the Nanoose Bay towing service to anyone.

I live on a…read moretiny little island and after three ferries and an hour driving down the Sunshine Coast my car started making the worst possible noise. It was so loud and scary nearby cars were staring. I looked and looked and it wasn't anything obvious. It woke up the kids through all the closed windows and I pulled over. It was nearly 7 pm though and nothing was open. I called Welcome Woods and he said come on by. He could hear me coming! He diagnosed by ear, had the tire off, and everything fixed and put back together by the time we walked down the road and back. And he charged us next to nothing! What a lifesaver and a great addition to the community! Thank you Welcome Woods!
