I love this the fans are great, the mascots were amazing, and the stadium is pretty cool for a minor league baseball team

We've been coming here for years... If you asked me to rate them back 5-7 years ago, they'd have gotten a solid five star review. I'm in a generous mood, and will add a star for all the collective years, but I think now they're probably closer to three or 3.5 stars. Why the change? It's still a wonderful setting, and a great, economical way to enjoy a night out with family and friends, but over the last few years, "improvements" seem to have led to there being less space for the general public and more "exclusive" areas for "special" groups. I understand that a good bit of their $$ come from special events, but it seems that more and more of their previously "common areas," including a nice outdoor "cafe" next to the bar, are now reserved exclusively for group events. Yes, you come to the game to sit in your seat and watch the game, but other stadiums seem to have to offer if you want to get up, stretch your legs a bit, and explore. Great facility, nevertheless. Not much change over the years as far as food or snacks go. Pricey, but not nearly as much as you'd pay at a Reds game. Lots of fun activities for the kiddos, frequent community outreach events, esp. honoring the military and their families, as well as a yearly beer tasting event, a 5K run (fun!!) and family movie nights. Plenty of nearby parking as well; try to get into town early if possible to snag a good spot. Also, as the area begins to boom, more restaurants and even a great local brewery are right nearby, so the fun can continue after the game. So...... In spite of my earlier whining and complaining, it's still some of the best entertainment Dayton's got to offer. Definitely worth a visit, if you're in the area!!

One of the best minor league parks in the country. Great atmosphere without a lot of riff raff. The food and drink options are great, a nice mix of various items throughout the park. Right field to left field is a 5 minute walk through the concourse. There's a reason this place is the gem of Dayton, OH.

Attended a Dayton Dragons game here recently. Day Air Ballpark is a very clean and open ballpark. Nice lawn area for watching the games, but was impressed by the other seating arrangements throughout the park. No seat is a bad seat here. Very nice staff and the food options are good and prices very reasonable. Location is great as well!

Giant screen for minor league standards.

As far as minor league parks go, this is one of the most comfortable without a doubt. All the seats outside of the suites in the second level are along the first and third baselines and through the home plate area. They have a shallow slope and no obstructed views. A higher end seat retails for $6 while you can reserve standing room entrance in the right field grass area for $4. There's food everywhere! There are a variety of sausages, franks, fried chicken, and beers to choose -although none of these items are as reasonably priced as the tickets for entrance. The concourses are open but somewhat narrow which can feel a little cramped, but their open air nature is very comfortable climate wise for summer nights in Dayton. Go Dragons!

Fifth Third Field is home for the Dayton Dragons, the A Minor League team of the Cincinnati Reds. A ticket for the Dayton Dragons is one of the ten toughest sports ticket to obtain in the nation. The facility is beautiful and well kept. A night at Fifth Third Field with the Dayton Dragons is a good night to be had by all. Bring a little extra money for food (at Major League prices). Great family atmosphere. A real plus for the Dayton communities.

Me and a couple of friends took in a Dayton Dragons playoff game. The field very nice. The crowd a bit smaller which made it so much better. There really isn't a bad seat anywhere in this stadium. We were seated directly behind home plate, fantastic seats. The only bad thing I can say was they lot, but other than that it was awesome.

The stadium is pretty cozy, not too big and just in the right size! The lay out is great as well, we found our way in no time! Good sound system and many food options and beer. Try eating and drinking before you get there. Food is expansive! Hot dogs: $4, pop: $3.50, Beer: $6 When the game is over, try to get out as soon as you can before it gets crowded. Also be careful of other cars in the parking structure since most of the crowed is tipsy. Gooooooooooooooooooo DRAGONS!!!!!!!!!

Fun atmosphere - not a bad seat in the house. Plenty of open areas in the sun or shade to enjoy the game and concessions.

A sign at the entrance indicated that purses larger than 6x9 had to be clear. We saw many women walking back to their cars with their larger opaque purses - after waiting in line for a half hour. The sound system reverberates throughout and it's difficult to hear what's being said. There were very long lines at all the concession stands before the event began and long lines at the restrooms at the end. Parking had lots of open spaces but it was unguided and essentially a free for all. Both in and out. Seating is sports arena seating, hard plastic. With almost no leg room or arm room. I'll work to avoid coming here.

But, what's in a name? The concert capacity is 11,500 and I found entry pretty smooth. There are nine gates and it's surrounded by parking lots, three of which have ample spots reserved for the physically challenged. As with all concert venues, arrive early otherwise you will likely have a bit of a hike. I was there for Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Doors opened almost 90 minutes before showtime, the line moved surprisingly fast, pass through of metal detector was quick and uneventful and there were plenty of staff on hand to scan the e-tickets. There was no request to open my handbag. This is laid out like a bowl, so there's only one level to enter the seating area, putting you at the rim of the bowl....so those great seats you snagged in row 3 are wayyyy down a seemingly endless flight of stairs with none too stable handrails in the center. If this is an issue for someone in your party, there is help available. There was no way my husband could have handled that descent and the ushers were right there to guide us to an elevator where other ushers led us through the backstage area (so exciting) and across the floor, where it was then just a few steps UP to the seats. They were all very helpful and happy to help. Also on the spot if anyone needs a wheelchair. Plenty of bathrooms. Way overpriced food, drinks and merch (like at all concert venues). Bracelets to purchase alcohol were readily available. The concession stands seemed pretty well staffed. I went up the hill once for beer and there was no wait. They have signs smugly proclaiming they are 'cashless' - so minus a star for that. Seats are less than comfortable and packed pretty tight. Watch for sticky spots on the floor. Don't wear your best shoes. Overall the venue has kind of a drab feel, but I came for the show and glad I did.

They recently bought new turf designed for turf shoes and did not allow cleats on the field. The teams all knew each other and played each other with respect, it was a rec league. It was recently bought by Game Time, since then it has went down hill. They started allowing cleats on the turf. They don't vacuum the turf like intended, so you have clumps of turf grass built up all around. We had a ref that controlled the game really well, he knew it was a rec league and not competitive, but they try and pull in the refs from Game Time who don't know the players and don't control the game. They Brough in new teams, usually that is great, we love playing new teams. Rec style. the new teams are not there for rec soccer, they play like it is a matter of life or death. We have played there for many years with very few incidents. We have more incidents over the last year since the buy out because the new teams are not the for rec soccer, they are there for combat soccer. We play for the love of the game and for exercise. They won't separate Saturday into competitive and rec. Again, we love new teams that don't purposely cleat you, stomp on your foot, body check you into the wall, tackle you from behind, shove you out of the way, elbow you, or just flat lower their shoulder and not even try for the ball. The new ref's are just there for the money, they only call things after it has gotten out of control. If they continue to bring in teams like that, then they can have it. The field was a great place before, if they want to keep teams there on Saturday night to make money, they need start making the changes now. Most of the rec players are older and don't do the bar scene, so if they run us out, they probably won't have a Saturday night. I don't think most younger people think of soccer on a Saturday night. I think they rather be out hanging with their friends. But if they do run us out, I guess we can always try and see how the Spooky Nook will be at running a rec league.
