Dec. 23, 2023, 8.55 am running on drizzling rain to be on time for my 9.00 am appointment at Dawson Dental East York 985 Broadview to respect time of the hygienist working on Saturday before Christmas. On my surprise the door of clinic closed. No timetable or any message on the door except advice about construction on Broadview. So pity I could not post pictures on this review because is funny 9.01 am I receive a message from 1 (807)700 6481 Hi Arjana, remainder of appt today at 9.00 am. Just for info that was the third message to get that week related to my appt for my too Thinking that a little bit of late - it happens to any human. 8.06 I start to call 1(888) 759 1286 it took 12 min that a human pick up my call (thank you)- I was still at the front door of Dawson dental under rain. The 1 (800) lady tried very hard to connect with the Office manager because according to website office should be open. She pot me on hold for a couple of minutes and on 8.22 am she advises me to leave for my home because the office will not be open Saturday Dec 23, 2023. I inform 1 800 ladies that Dawson Dental never to connect with me ever. Not their patient. Dec. 23, 2023 appointment was their hygienist request not mine. I show in appointment - not that I do not get inform that appointment was cancelled from their part but even in the office door there was no note - that office is closed for that or this reason. Why I need to be in the rain 22 min? 9.532 Ms. Barazami calls to apologize. She declared that is the Dawson Regional Manager - trying to explain that my appt had fallen thru cracks & power outage etc - and Dawson is very professional and do not operate like that. She asked me if I understood what she was telling me without any remorse in her voice. I repeat to her like the 1 (800) lady do not contact me again and I was convinced she was not Regional Manager. Wednesday Dec 27, 2023, Hygienist from Dawson Dental calls me 9.48 am very happy to schedule me for another appointment - because the clinic was closed on Saturday. Informed her not anymore, their patient. Dr Pulec was running clinic when I first visited that establishment - amazing service. Since Dawson took over that location - things are not as before. I do not need to much assistance with my teeth - I accept any hygienist available. Not satisfied with office assistant staff - some time they chat and forget to ask if you have an insurance or not - and charge insurances - when you tell them that you will pay with Visa. Assistants take sweet time (talking to each other) instead of providing you the bill you after tooth cleaning. Probably they are part of union because when I inform them, I will inform the office manager about their behavior - answer was "Please do that". I hope this review will help Dawson Dental Corporation to improve their service. I would had placed 0 stars if it was possible. 14 min to pick up 1 800 # and Lady of 1 (800) 6 min try to contact Office Manager haha on time of smartphones. read more

Top notch, been my go-to clinic for the past 3 years or so now. Dr. Alana Drimmer and her team has been providing consistent care and attention to my needs and details, and I feel confident that she won't offer any extra treatment or I don't need. Like the convenience, the electronic appointment reminders as well, front desk has always been available and know that I prefer being reached by email. read more

I'm on a rant here, skip if you'd like but long story short: Dawson is not an honest business. I recently split my tooth therefore needed an urgent care. As usual, I checked on yelp to see which place to go. I rely highly on Yelp! Anyway, I saw they have a free consultation, booked an appointment and went. The place itself is nice and clean. I had Dr Drimmer. She explained slowly what I needed done. Mind you, I told them I have no dental insurance but they proceeded to do examination, X-ray and panoramic X-ray. This "free" consultation ended up costing me $182, examination alone was $89. So I talked to my boyfriend and he told me he knows someone who is a dentist. He hooked me up with his dentist friend (Dr A). So Dr A's team emailed me a release form on Thursday and had me signed it so they could email and fax it to Dawson to ask for my X-rays. I did that and Monday came, I got a call from Dr A's team saying they haven't received my X-rays from Dawson and I have an appointment with them on Tuesday. So I called Dawson immediately, spoke with them and they said they "didn't" receive any email/fax. The person on the phone asked me to ask Dr A to email/fax it so she could release my X-rays. Tuesday morning, I went to Dr A and they told me they still haven't received my X-rays so they called Dawson AGAIN saying I'm there with them, it would be great if they could email it asap. 15 mins later, they finally got my X-rays from Dawson. And they even asked how was Dawson during my visit, whether they were polite or not. Because Dawson was rude to Dr A's team over the phone. Honestly, I've skipped some of the cons because it's not as important as their dishonesty. Secondly, Dr A is more detail-oriented than Dr Drimmer, he took his time examining my mouth/teeth. Dr A covered everything Dr Drimmer had told me, but included lots of professional inputs. That's an honest dentist there and the best thing is, they charged way less than Dawson, including the X-rays! UGH if only I could get a refund from Dawson. read more

First visit to this dentist and I must say I'm impressed. Easy location to find, super nice staff, thorough cleaning and the dentist was very cool. I found her to be funny, knowledgeable, and very sincere - something you don't find often. Also, they processed my insurance right away meaning I didn't have to pay out of pocket despite it being my first visit. Will be coming back! read more

Although their front desk staff was very polite, fast, and charged my insurance directly I had a terrible time with their handling, service of the Invisalign procedure. Most to all the steps were left out about what to expect. A handful of months into the treatment, they did some shavings of the teeth, glued rocks, and since these two main parts of the treatment were left out, I was left shocked, distraught and felt trapped. Dr. Neha unknowingly or knowingly made an "accidental" crack on my front bottom tooth during the shaving. Secondly, during the attachment rock removal she did not whole heartedly clean off the left over rock residue glued to several teeth, despite me brining up the concerns. She also became frustrated when the wires did not glue in properly. And with my teeth at her mercy, it honestly, just made me feel very uncomfortable Having invested so much money ($5000) and half way into the treatment I cooperated but with anxiety. The dental staff also became insensitive, (as per Dr. Ladha orders) and again, to my earlier point, it seems, that they are out to make money, and do not care about the sensitivity of the matters on hand. Perhaps that will come with experience and maturity. These are just a couple of anxiety situations I had during the treatment, which made me switch to a new dental clinic. Again, I think these issues at Dawsons dental hopefully can be resolved overtime, as they gain more experience in their work and overtime will realize that although money is important so are happy customers. But not worth the crack in my tooth, and other mishaps and anxiety it caused me. read more

Completely dissatisfied with my visit to the 120 Bloor Street location. I already knew I needed some periodontics work done, so I sent them an email before the appointment asking to speak to someone with experience in this sphere of dentistry. I showed up, they took x-rays, and then sent some fresh-faced kid out of dental school in to look at the x-rays, shrug, and say "yeah, I gotta refer you to a periodontist". Then they had the gall to charge me 140 bucks for that. Thanks for nothing. Won't be back, and recommend others stay away as well. They seem motivated more by greed than helping :(. Too bad. On the plus side, the person who took my x-rays was very kind, efficient and helpful...I guess that means I'm not completely dissatisfied after all, but still very close, lol. read more

My preferred thing really has nothing to do with the treatment, it's that so far he has been extremely reliable. Dental specialists (and other restorative experts) more often than not keep you sitting tight for a considerable length of time after your appointment time. Truly irritating. In any case, he has never been late up until now, which I truly appreciate. The administration is incredible as well. The doctor takes a lot of photographs to show what he is discussing. What's more, and also appears to be quite legitimate too about what medications you do and needn't bother with. And furthermore, sends a follow-up email after my last visit to watch that there were no issues. Other staff, there are very friendly as well. Highly recommended. read more

Dawson dental could hold to it's promise of service delivery. It could also hold to timely appointment visits. I had to switch dentists and file a small claims court action against them and they still deny that they did anything wrong. This is a corporately owned practise that doesn't really care about patients. I highly recommend going elsewhere. read more

I've been a patient for several years, and my dentist is one of the best I have ever been to. However, the clinic has undergone some changes in the front office staff. Appointment times are booked however when it comes time to confirming the appointment the time has changed. This is happened at least three times in the past two months. Furthermore, when messages have been left for the front office to contact a patient, they do not. While I really like and trust my dentist I'm getting to a point where I'm am considering leaving the clinic due to the very poor front office-administration side of Dawson Dental Rosedale read more

OMG! I just had incredible experience at Dawson Dental where I met Dr. Alana Drimmer. She was so warm friendly and knowledgeable, I felt like I was in good hands with her. It had been 5years since my last dental appointment, I know crazy eh! But when you are fearful of the dentist its hard to overcome the stress. My first appointment was a full check up and xrays where Dr. Drimmer took the time to go tooth by tooth. She explained in detail all of her findings through pictures and xrays........ then it happened..... SHE FOUND 2 CAVITES. The front desk staff were very nice and even called my insurance company to make sure that I will be covered. Next step is a cleaning and have my fillings done. Keep you posted read more

They mixed up my file with another client and then did nothing but blame some previous staff member - despite the fact that the problem was ongoing. Then they assured me that even though our files were mixed up, they had definitely not mixed up any of the finances or insurance payments - which I find hard to believe and don't know how they know for certain. I am left with a big bill which is completely unitemized, so I am paying for unknown services, to a practice that doesn't even keep its files straight. I am giving this 2 stars because Dr. Ladha was fine and I did have a great hygienist in the past, but as far as their bookkeeping goes, it is sketchy at best, and I won't trust them with my visa card again. read more

I am a new patient and came to Dawson Dental having had a traumatif experience at a previous dentist. Dr Ladha, Hanna the dental hygenist and the whole Dawson Dental team treated me with understanding and care. They all put me at ease. I went in there so uptight with fear and left with a hug and great sense of relief. Dr Ladha and Hanna explain what they are doing and the reasons why. I feel confident going forward with my dental care. read more
