This injury to my ankle has taken 8 months to get resolved. It would not be resolved without Dr…read moreNorthrop and also to doctor before him. It was in danger of amputation! It was scared the heck out of me but yet Dr Northrop was honest and told me what the risk was for and possible outcomes. I actually appreciate that. I'm a nurse and of course we are often critical of doctors. It took a visitor to until I was willing to trust. But at that point his bedside manner was good and he was extremely honest with me for the positive and the negative. I needed to hear that and also to know what steps to take to follow his direction to the best outcome I'm so glad I did that because now I see that my x-rays are regaining bone. I had a very complicated surgery Dr Northrop and actually three surgeries in total over the last 8 months. I am very fortunate to not have to have an amputation which was a possible outcome. My bone is regenerating, I'm on the final stage of healing. Dr Northrup would be my next go to if I ever, God forbid, needed help again. I will recommend him to anyone that has an absolute problem. We get surprised in life sometimes and people we don't expect to meet. I'm very glad I did and he was recommended to me. Thank you to Dr Northrup! And his staff also, a very pleasant office to visit and very efficient. I don't think I've ever waited more than 5 minutes if that. So relieved after all these months and glad that I had the care I did with Dr Northrup and his staff

There is a receptionist that could use some people skills, maybe she was stressed because of a tech glitch with her computer. The great care provided makes up for it. Obviously people that are coming to the doctor are already somewhat stressed out and the first person they see when they check in makes a difference. Keep up the good care and thank you.

BEWARE! Once again, SOS billing department has raised the bar on terrible customer service. I had…read moreto go to elsewhere to ask a doctor to fix my painful hand. Dr. Lampley did a great job on my right hand surgery, and did the same on my left. I've been having pain for months in my left hand and it's now pretty unbearable. I was refused an appointment to see him in September about it because their billing department said I owed them money, WHICH I MADE COPIES OF MY RECEIPTS FOR THE 10th TIME and gave them to them to PROVE I was paid to date! It's been a nightmare for 3 years. I owe them nothing! I've kept receipts of all payments and have had to keep proving it, yet they still insist I owe them and had the GALL to send my account to collections! (My credit score is 850...). And now my hand is really hurting so no choice but to seek medical attention elsewhere. Also, I've had a lot of surgery and I've never had a surgeon charge for the 1st follow up visit after a surgery, have you? That's legitimately the only copay I (supposedly) owed them, so I just paid it. But I find this very fishy because when I went to my follow up appointments after each surgery they didn't take any payment (I offered) so I assumed it was included with the surgery copay cost, as is the norm. They changed their minds much later on and decided I owed for those 3 visits? That's not right! I had 3 surgeries with SOS surgeons and they charge for the post-surgical follow up long after the fact?? Hmmmm.... Anyway, when I politely called and asked to speak to the St. Augustine office general manager today to discuss this, they refused to give me his/her name and said they couldn't give out that information. Lol. This is a public business. You can't give the name or contact information for the general manager? Again - such bizarre business practices! Dr. Lampley I have no complaints about, I would not have another shoulder replacement with Dr. Jones, and I highly recommend the PT and OT team, but the billing department refusing my hand appointment (for a problem related to a surgery at SOS) because of a messed up billing department is deplorable business practice. Not to mention the fact that after all of my correspondence or calls NOT ONE PERSON has reached to me via call or email to help resolve it, even though it's THEIR mess, (at my expense)! I had no choice but to use this platform to warn others because they've not tried to help fix their billing issues. I can't be the only one in this position... I'm sure there are others who are in the same boat. I have a 4" stack of correspondence with receipts that I've sent with no response. Beware, and keep your receipts! If I could afford to retain a lawyer to take them to court, I would. I actually looked into it but can't afford the retainer. Sucks that they get away with this... Shame on them! What they're doing is unjust. (Legal Aid was of no help- but said it was considered Medicare fraud to charge people more than their Medicare copay for services rendered...) I'll just warn others for now, since I guess that's all a person with a limited income can do.

I'm only giving 2 stars because of how fast I was able to get in and the staff was nice otherwise…read morewould be no star. I went there because I had a huge bruise on my foot that was not caused by an injury. When Dr. Johnson examined my foot and showed him pics of my foot from the pass couple of weeks. I asked if it was my Raynauds. he said "I'm almost 100% positive this is a stress fracture. I want you to wear a boot and it needs to be one that goes to your knee. Go to Amazon and purchase one there." I pulled it up on my phone and he told me which one to order. Then told me he was going to send me for X-rays. As I was getting ready to check out and he walks me up to the front he proceeds to talk to me about a vitamin that I need to be on. I heard him and the front girl tell me about it and how I would be contacted. Dr. Johnson said he would call me with the results from my X-rays if he wasn't right. I told the girl in the front I wanted to be called no matter what the X-rays say. She said she would be sure to tell him. I went over for X-rays and the imaging center told me they would be over to the doctor by the end of the day. Meantime I ordered the boot thinking I could trust this doctor. Received it the next day. With my work it's very hard for me to stand all day in this boot and I have osteoarthritis in that same knee and Dr. Johnson told me I could not wear the brace for my knee that I had to wear the boot for a month. I told him that I really needed to wear the brace because if I didn't my back would go out to. He said u can't wear the brace only the boot. Moving forward did not get a call on that Friday that I saw him. Called Monday and the receptionist told me he was on vacation and would be back next week. I asked if there was any way to get my results from my X-rays since I was told he would contact me. She said she would have someone call me. NO CALL. I always get a copy of my X-rays. I went to get the cd and my report. The report said NO STRESS FRACTURE found. Just soft tissue inflammation. I was very upset that the doctor never called me. Thank god I did not wear the boot with my knee and back problems. I would not recommend him.
