One of the BEST Real Estate offices in Northern Illinois. Great agents, great staff and great…read moreservice!! Most of the top producing and experienced agents in the area.

I signed mortgage contract with Marie Clucas at the Remax location 850 Brookforest Ave in Shorewood…read moreIL. I wasn't sure why this contract like most wasn't sent to me in a PDF docusign and why I needed meet in their shared office but we scheduled a time to get the paperwork signed. Mare informed me there were no other offer on this particular home. We wrote the offer on 11/6 and I waited patiently for a response from the sellers (as of today 11/15 I never received a response or rejection). On 11/7 Marie emailed me stating the house was still active BUT Kathy Dames is waiting on another buyers financing to be approved; and those buyers offered 270k so the sellers want 270k for the home. Marie also told me if I offered 264k the sellers might consider my offer. I reached out to Marie all week looking for an update on my offer of course NOTHING!! So I called my attorney on 11/14 who informed me I had the right to contact the seller. I called the sellers on 11/14, I introduced myself, I also explained she did not have to give me any information on offers, I just wanted to confirm that my 1st Offer was presented to her on 11/6. Of course the seller stated " I never got an offer from you last week, but I got your offer today". I shared with seller that that was my 2nd offer, I had to go to another realtor just to get my offer submitted. I called Kathy Dames owner/broker of Remax (850 Brookforest Ave Shorewood, IL) on 11/15 to request proof that my offer was submitted on 11/6 and she told me my offer was rejected. I then asked for time stamped proof that my offer was rejected and she said she would have the sellers write a letter. I declined their letter; I asked again that she forward me the email that was sent to the seller on 11/6, she refused. I told Kathy that I was very upset that I missed the opportunity to purchase a home and that I would also file a complaint against her and her agency. Kathy said " and I'm filing a complaint against you for being a "NUISANCE" I told her I wasn't a nuisance but a buyer in the market for a home. Of course she hung up on me. This is called home buyer discrimination and suppression. It's been almost 24 hours and still no proof that my offer was present last week!! Because of this shady office and the frauds they have working I have missed the opportunity to purchase a home!!

Heather is one of the most organized and detailed realtors that we have ever dealt with. My husband…read more& I did exactly as Heather instructed us to and in doing that we had an offer on the 1st day of showings and within 3 days of being listed. In addition to the above, she paid attention to what were looking for in a home, so needless to say we found a home within the handful that we looked that. If you are looking for a realtor that will take the time and pay attention to details and get the job done fast and efficiently then Heather is the realtor that you are looking for and would want to work with. I could not have had a better experience with anyone else.

She was very personable from the start. I talk a lot and she does as well, so we were the perfect match! She made time for us that same weekend and sent us many listings matching our specifications. We ultimately decided to go with a new build. Heather helped us with the process of buying a new build, which is more complicated than buying an existing home. Fast forward to when it came to selling our home, she was so quick with getting the listing up as well as having an open house. Our home sold in three weeks! She helped us negotiate with a fairly difficult person. My husband and I truly appreciate what she did for us both buying and selling a home. Heather is a wonderful realtor but more importantly a genuine person who will go above and beyond for her clients.

AirReca assisted us with selling and purchasing our home. Initially, she was a great agent who kept…read moremy family and me updated regularly, ensuring we were always in the loop. However, once we found a buyer for our home, things took a turn. To clarify, AirReca was helpful in showing us the homes we suggested, but she never provided an itinerary or presented homes that we might be interested in. My family and I ultimately found the home we now live in. We showed our home to the buyer and were almost ready to finalize the deal; we just needed AirReca's name. It turned out we could have pursued an owner's sale on our own. However, AirReca informed our buyer that we could not afford her commission and asked the buyer to pay her an additional 3% on top of the 4.5% commission we were already offering her. AirReca then got upset that the buyer offered only 1% as we showed and sold the house not AirReca. When we discovered this and reported it to her manager, Nicole, we were told that this transaction was not illegal and that we should not have been communicating with each other behind the realtor's back. I was shocked by this response! First, AirReca breached confidentiality multiple times, albeit verbally. What I want to caution potential buyers and sellers about is that while AirReca may seem kind and accommodating, she has a slick side that you should be wary of. She may entangle you with her lawyers (who were terrible and did not advocate for us), her home inspector (who was great), and her preferred loan officer (who was also great). I recommend using the home inspector and possibly the loan officer from Guaranteed Financial with Nancy, but I advise finding a non-affiliated attorney or other professionals just in case issues arise. I'm not disgruntled; we accomplished our goals, though we were stressed out during the process. There's more to our story, but I hope this helps you in making an informed decision that is best for your family.
