I reviewed the phone service issue at this location a few years ago. Unfortunately I'm still having the same problem getting through to someone via phone. The store opens at 9 am, but when I called at 9:15 am and again at 9:20 am, a message says that I have reached the customer care center after hours. If the store is open, why is no one answering phones? I called yesterday and was on hold for someone for over 25 minutes and finally just hung up. What kind of customer service is this if you cannot get through to someone to ask a question via phone? read more

My parents have a particular kind of insurance for eye care so they were required to use VisionWorks. None of us had ever gone to one before and to be honest, our expectations were low. One employee changed all that and made us very happy VisionWorks customers. Tina went above and beyond to ensure we were seen on time. She was thorough and answered all our questions. Some medical establishments try to take advantage of the elderly but not this one. Tina was so patient and truly made our day! Place has no customer service. You can't order a script online. The phone number connects you to a useless virtual assistant. If you have a little problem you must drive to the store which is very far. It has gotten so much worse over the years. The employees confidentially expressed that the services suck especially since they were bought. This is the last script they will be getting from me or my family. You are better off using a smaller optometrist. read more

I've always come to Visionworks for my contacts and glasses but my goodness the wait time is just so horribly long. I always have to clear my schedule for at least two hours after my appointment because I know I won't be seen for at least and hour after check in. And it's not limited to this location- I've been to Farmingdale and Garden City location as well and it's always a very long wait time. Service is reliable and is why I haven't gone elsewhere, but I do dread any appointments because I know I'll spend my whole morning here. But the only plus is that Dr. Cohen was extremely pleasant and answered all my questions. read more

My experience with this place. Their eye doctor encouraged my wife to try a different brand of contact lenses which irritated her eyes. When she asked to switch back to her original brand they said a new exam was required and that they would charge for it. Tonight, my son broke his glasses (screw came out). I arrived, yes at 5 minutes to close and they refused to see me. I don't know about you but my job goes until the time the work day ends, not 5 minutes early. Business lost. read more

By far the best Visionworks in the area. Have gone to Plainview (pushy upselling salespeople) and Airport Plaza (very brief exam). At this location, Dr Siegall is extremely thorough and kind. Opticians are great as well. read more

I was at Visionworks at the Huntington location yesterday and had the good fortune of being helped by an excellent technician, Robin. I came in with a pair of damaged sunglasses and asked if they could be repaired. Robin saw me immediately and explained that she could not guarantee that the repair would be successful but she would do her best. Luckily for me, Robin knew exactly what she was doing and executed the repair perfectly. Aside from her technical expertise, Robin was friendly and courteous and is obviously very skilled as a technician as well as excellent customer service. I strongly recommend her (and Visionworks) for any repairs as she was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Thank you, Robin, for doing a great job! read more

The worst. I had a terrible experience with one of the doctors last year but decided to give it a second try and it was just as terrible. Last year the doctor was very creepy and stared down my shirt the whole time while speaking to me. Then this year when I got there, they told me I would do teleadoc since everyone left. I said it was fine but after an hour, they said they weren't sure the doctor would even show up virtually. The doctor ended up showing up and she seemed unsure of what she was doing. After, when I had to order my glasses, the older lady helping me out was just RUDE. I'm not coming back. read more

This place is horrible, I signed up for an eye exam and the only one they had was in person virtual exam. I was on time for my exam and it took 2 full hours before they finished. If they time 90 minutes was waiting to be seen. Would not recommend at all read more

Terrible phone service, very very long wait times on hold and near impossible to get through to a live human at this location to make an appointment for contacts, or an appointment for any kind of visit. I dread having to call here for myself or my children. Will look to buy our contacts elsewhere because it is such a hassle to deal with them. Can't they hire someone to pic up the phone? read more

I gave VisionWorks a try since they take my coverage and Sterling Optical across the street no longer does. I needed a pair of reading glasses so I went there with my older pair of bifocals which were an expensive pair of Versace frames and asked them to take my current reading prescription and makes these my reading glasses. They said no problem they will be done in a week to 10 days. It's past 10 days and no call. When I finally get the call they had told me they are sorry but they broke the frames?? The frames were close to $500 and cost more than any 2 frames in their store. They said they would let me pick any frames I wanted but they didn't even refund me for the lenses which were $100. Two weeks later the frames are finally ready so my wife picked them up so now I had to go back to get the ears adjusted. I go there figuring it's literally a 3 minute job that it would be no problem. I go there with just 3 customers in the store and they told me I had to make an appointment?? It takes a few minutes to do and they wanted an appointment??? I went to Sterling across the street and even though it wasn't there frames knowing what a loyal customer I was they did it for nothing on the spot. It took them 2 minutes. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO VISIONWORKS EVER AGAIN. What a horrible experience. A month for reading glasses without even an eye exam or browsing for frames. Horrible! read more

I went to the Visionworks in Riverhead, on a Thursday. I had been having headaches and was having trouble reading the computer screen at work. Everything started out well, but I was the last customer so when they looked from the prescription from the virtual doctor, they couldn't find it. The salesperson, who I later found out was the manager, stated she would call me the next day to process my order once they got in touch with the doctor. I called numerous times, with no return call. I just wanted the headaches to go away from the eye strain. On Tuesday, after no return call, and the customer services response of the inability to speak to anyone at the store, I told her that if I did not get a rerurn call, I would drive the 45 minutes from work again to see what was going on. Wednesday, after 6 days, I walk into the store after no return call to find out that they still could not get in touch with the doctor. There was no apology. They could not get in touch with the virtual dr. to process my glassess. No while you're here lets get you another exam. Just the manager telling me I said I would call you. I left the store in a huff. I told them I expected some communication from them the following morning. When I didn't get a return call the following day, I called the overall customer service and lodged a complaint against the store. They took down my information and stated the regional manger would call me back. The regional manager never called. I had to call my human resource benefits dept to tell them to cancel the exam as we were not paying for the exam and I would be going somewhere else. I would give this store a negative star if I could. Buyer beware, these people need a course in how to provide customer service. It's Sunday, 10 days later and No one has called. read more

5-star service today (not for the first time) when, for the FIRST TIME EVER I *sat* on my glasses and twisted the frame terribly -- on the verge of a time I HAVE to have them available. Afraid of breaking them if I did anything, I ran to Visionworks, where I bought them originally, and the amazing Michael fixed them as good as new. Not only was he meticulously careful to try to save the frames, he was friendly and just lovely to deal with. Everyone I've encountered here has been great, actually, full Covid protocols are being followed, and I'm a very satisfied customer. read more

Went here when I broke my frames looking to put the existing lenses into new (cheap) frames. The guy here found me a pair that work, popped them in, and had me on my way within 20 minutes. Got the job done quickly and cheaply, no hassle, no problem. I've tried the same thing at lenscrafters in the past..took over an hour and cost 4 times as much! read more

Had my exam yesterday and my glasses were ready today! I came here, instead of a closer location in East Northport, because they had superior customer service reviews. I decided to drive the extra 15-minutes for that and I am very glad I did. Dr. Siegall was very kind and thorough, taking the time to explain things to me and simply ask questions. Dawn was a pleasure to work with and scheduled everything for me. And George measured and fit my glasses to perfection. I scheduled appointments for my wife and children in 2 weeks. Dr Siegall gave a great eye exam. She is very warm and explains everything well. She teaches her staff very specifically how to teach putting in and taking out contacts. Was unable to learn how to wear contacts previously but her staff did an amazing job in contact instruction! read more

Beware of this place, they were focused more on trying to sell more services \ products rather than what the customer needed. They did a mail campaign first with specials and discounts but when I visited the store, none of those items were available. This specific store is on Route 110 in the same shopping plaza as Michael's. read more
